Dr. Earl and his wonder team is very dear to my heart. Ive know him and his staff for over ten years. He and his team have taken care of my beloved Great Dane babies since they have been eight weeks old. Hes been there for them in good times and bad times. Hes even made house calls when I couldnt get Aragon or Arowyn to him. Hes always been there for them, even when it was their time to cross the rainbow bridge. Everyone in Dr. Earls office goes above and beyond to make sure your pet receives the best treatment possible. I felt part of the Lido Animal Hospital family. I observed that whether you were a first timer or a long timer, Dr. Earl and his staff gave the same loving attention, care, and needed treatment to each dog, cat, rat, bunny, or exotic animal that reached out to him. Prior to finding Dr. Earl I had taken my beloved Jessie to a repetable vet. Jessie (our Rottweilier) had a tumor in her mouth. The doctor removed it and sent us on our way. He never told us that the tumor was cancerous. That vet never followed up. Hence a year and a half later when our Jessie was loosing weight for no apparent reason I took her back to this vet. The vet had decided to take sometime off (suto retirement) and this is when I met Dr. Earl. When reading Jessies chart he explained that the cancer had returned. We told him we were never told the tumor was cancerous. We were outraged that the previous vet (who is now practicing again) never told us or recommended follow-up checkups. Dr. Earl handled the situation with such grace, empathy, and professionalism. He guided us through the steps of what was going to happen. He was also upfront with us and explained that when life wasnt any fun for Jessie anymore, then that would be the time to let her go. Unfortunately that time came sooner rather than later, but Dr. Earl was there to make sure her passing went smoothly and comfortably for her, as well as for us. Since then, weve used Dr. Earl exculsively for the treatment and wellbeing of our four legged babies. Each animal is different. Some are blessed with good health, some are more delicate, and some are just born with medical issues. Dr. Earl is an expert in his field, but when something comes up outside of his field of expertice he knows the best of the best doctors to send your precious pet too, so that they receive the best medical treatment possible. In short, the only person Id trust for my four legged babies is Dr. Earl.

Incredible Vet! A great experience for both our dog and us! Dr. Earl will come out and visit with our Grace (Weimaraner) and as he is saying Hello he is also running his hands all over her for a very through physical exam while Grace is comfy on the floor and not shivering and balanced on some steel table! That counts for a lot with us because the other Vets we have seen cant be bothered to get down to her level - ever! Dr. Earl is intuitive and knowledgeable about Graces allergies and skin conditions and has made Grace very comfortable. He has properly diagnosed all of her "conditions" and we have been able to implement them and improve her quality of life. We will be clients forever! The staff is highly attentive and make Grace very comfortable while she is being treated and they are all very patient with us and do not make us feel like idiots for asking over and over again what is going on with our dog and what everything means. Some people have given the same talk about cleaning a dogs ears a 100 times and they let you know in a monotone way how to do it. The staff here understands that it is the first time we have heard it and they are talk to us kindly and understand that we are trying to learn and do it properly and they really try to help us. The prices are very reasonable - there is even a Senior Discount available that we take advantage of! There are parking meters on the street of the office and they are very conscious about offering to pay and put the quarters in for us. They have a lot of local resources for pet needs and thats very helpful for us. We really feel that you will be happy with your visit to Dr. Earl! 5 Stars all the way!!!

To even put Dr. Don Earl and his staff into the same class as the everyday vet office is to do a vast injustice. Dr. Earl and the staff of Lidovet are more than head and shoulders above any vet office Ive even been to, and I have been to a lot of them. The Lidovet clinic is definitely not clinical, but as compassionate and caring as though they were family. For the first-time visitor, it can come as a shocking yet pleasant surprise that Dr. Don comes out and immediately sits on the floor with your animal, at their level, immediately making the animal feel at ease. There are no cold, clinical examination rooms, as there are no cold, clinical staff members at Lidovet. In addition to his regular patients, Dr. Don does a tremendous amount of work with rescue animals, providing, in many cases, deep discounts to rescue organizations, when possible. Dr. Don Earl is also unusual in that he will see animals that most other vets will chase out of their offices, such as wolfdogs. Dr. Earl is also an official vet for Wolf Mountain Sanctuary, an eco-educational facility in Lucerne Valley. The Lidovet staff, Danny, Suzy and all of the others, all work together with Dr. Earl...but it it seems to be more like a family than a clinic, and you can feel the warmth and hospitality from the moment you first enter...your pet feels it too. They are definitely the best vet office in the greater L.A./Orange Co. area, at the very least.

I have never written a review on one of these sites before, but based on the life changing experience I had with this vet, I am compelled to write in. First, the vet was available to see me the same day I called in. Their philosophy is that if your pet is sick, you need to see a vet immediately and will even take walk-ins if you are willing to wait. They were quick, friendly, and full of good information. My dog has been having chronic ear infections her entire life and the old vet would just give her anitbiotics. Dr. Earl explained the underlying problem for me (needed to have the hair cleaned out of her ears more frequently) which will definitely improve her quality of life. She also itches and chews her skin occasionally - she doesnt have fleas so I had no idea what else I could do. Dr. Earl told me that I can give her some over the counter medicine for this and wont need to go into the vet for allergy shots all ths time (which is what I used to do). All-in-all - this was the most refreshing vet experience I have ever had, and on top of the amazing staff and customer service - it was MUCH cheaper than my old vet by a degree of magnitude. Awesome.
