I just moved to Orange County and needed to sign my daughter up with a new primary care Pediatrician when she suddenly became ill with a fever and body rash. I was over-paranoid and thought it might be measles (outbreak). The staff at Irvine Pediatrics were incredibly patient with us! They helped get the insurance situated, booked a same day appointment, brought us quickly to the exam room, so wed be away from other patients, and handled everything with plenty of professional care. Dr. Wang was phenomenal with my daughter! She has a lot of positive energy and a truly experienced sense of how to get my toddler to cooperate during the examination. I was so worried they would criticize me for my paranoia over the measles, but they were very kind about it and took care of her infection, and recommended an excellent pharmacy in the same building. They also assisted with a same-day faxed note to her school (always took a MONTH to request a fax at our last doctors office). Im glad I found this practice and look forward to future check ups :)

I have been going to Irvine Pediatrics for 13 years now and cant say enough nice things about everyone there. I am an experienced RN and I see Dr. Winkler. She is my favorite. She is never rushed, always has a smile no matter what reason you are there for. She takes her time to explain things to me anomy daughter. I have asked for referrals to consultants and she has never disagreed or given me a hard time. She is very accommodating and if I cant get in to see her, I can get in with another doctor very easily. I have never been turned away in 13 years for same day appointments and I would say 90% of the time, I get Dr. Winkler. Please try her out. You wont be disappointed. As for the other negative comments, I can comment about them, other than to say this. If you experience rudeness by any staff in a physicians office, please tell the doctor. They may not know, or maybe your complaint will be the last straw and they will do something about the situation. Anyway..... I highly recommend Irvine Pediatrics.

This has been the 5th and the last visit at Irvine Pediatrics. I agree with all the comments about the staff being rude; they all make you feel that you have done something wrong and that they are mad at you. With regards to the nurses and the doctor (Dr Dawnes) they are always in such a hurry, that when you ask questions you can hear them thinking ("ohh jeez, now what?!!") and their body language clearly indicates that they have no time to waste with you, and they give you a one sentence answer with one foot already out of the door... And when you have your first baby, well its really not the kind of behavior you like to see... We picked this place out of a list the hospital gave us, and were clearly going to ask for referrals around us, because this place is soooooo bad.

Dr. Winkler is the best! She was referred to me by several moms of twins. I have been taking my boy girl twins here since they were born. Its very easy to make an appointment here (even the same day), the waiting room is always empty and immaculate, and the wait is never long once inside the actual rooms. The staff is very polite and friendly too. Ive called a few times after hours with questions for the doc, and she always calls back within 15 minutes. Dr. Winkler is very sweet, gentle with my babies, and has a relaxed, casual, liberal personality and approach on parenting. Parking lot is always packed but its also huge. There is no parking structure which is good to know if its raining and you are trying to get infants out of the car and in a stroller.

I have been using this pediatrician, Dr. Maureen Downes and Peggy Tse, since I moved to California. I have five children ages 7-27. My two youngest children have been patients for the last 7 years. I have always had a good experience. There doctors are well educated and have a thorough understanding of pediatrics. I love the fact that they have walk in hours every morning and they are open on Saturday too. There facility is clean and they have entrances for sick patients and well patients. Now my grand daughter is a patient too.

Weve been going to Irvine Pediatrics for 4 years. The staff is friendly, Juanita (the nurse we see for well visits) is great. And we love our doctor, Dr. Winkler. Shes warm and nice and shes not over the top protective. I also like that they have Sat am hours for sick visits and 8-9 a.m. hours for drop in visits. This seems to be rare in SoCA where the hours are not particularly conducive to families with two working parents. Ive searched for several offices that have extended hours and this is the only one.

I have been going to Dr. Downes and Irvine Pediatrics since my son was born, he is now 4. The front office staff is always friendly and attentive. Dr Downes is amazing. She takes the time to listen to my concerns and answer quesitons.She has even called me at home in the eveing when my son was sick just to check on him. I like the sick walk in hours in the morning and on Saturdays. This entire office really seems to care about hte children and the parents that they serve.

I was dissatisfied with Dr Winkler! She stated that my childs ear is clear when I suspected another round of otitis media (fevers, discomfort, overall not comfortable) I had a gut instinct as a mother that this pediatrician can be wrong, I got a second opinion, and sure enough my 3 year old son has an ear infection. Antibiotics were prescribed, and my son felt more comfortable in about 24 hours or so. Disappointed with Irvine Pediatrics!

Been going to this practice for 14 years. Love the physicians and the staff. To the person who said Woodbury was better needs their head examined. Even when I went there the doctors had no clue what I was talking about and sent me to emergency instead. When taking my daughter to Woodbury kept me waiting then sent me to CHOC anyway. When I went to Dr Downes problem solved p0lus a 30.00 co-pay compared to 150.00

We have been going to Irvine Pediatrics since my kids were born and they are now 12 and 13. We have never once had a bad experience. Our original dr left the practice and we have been with Dr. Winkler since then. She is never rushed, is very thorough and explains things very clearly. Juanita has been there for years as well and my kids and I love her! We highly recommend Irvine Pediatrics.

I think the problem, is the gentleman who works in the office. Well Gentleman would be a compliment. He is very rude and never mind does he not pay attention to your kid, he doesnt even look at you when you check in!

They must have a new staff because we have been going here for over a year and they have been nothing but helpful and nice. I highly recommend going here! Dr Gan is the best!

The staff is as rude as they can....they dont care for patient concerns and the are adament in their answers are well. The billing system and their attitude is awful
