We moved to Claremont in 2003, leaving behind a most excellent dentist at our old neighborhood in LA. Things were rough for several years as myself and my family bounced around from one office to another. I learned the hard way that cheap dentistry is frequently the most expensive kind. Also learned the hard way that high prices and arrogance is no guarantee of quality results either. We watched the building go up on Foothill BL, wondering what business would occupy it. Then one day they hung their shingle outside and I decided on a fluke to give them a try. Since then I have had work done by both Steve Fountain and Vijay Patel and I could not be more pleased. Ive been so impressed that I now entrust the care of my wife and children to these fine dentists. Dental work is not quite a straight science. There is a fair amount of artistic skill and intuition involved as well. Everyones mouth is different, every tooth a unique structure. These fellows stand behind their work 100% and they will do anything and everything within their power to make sure your results are the best they can possibly be. Likewise, their staff is consistently professional, and actually downright nice to deal with. They also respect your time. Ive never had to wait more than a few minutes beyond my appointment time to be seen, very refreshing! Be aware that there is another similarly named practice in town that somehow manages to pop up when one searches for "Claremont Dental Institute". Dont be misled! I cannot speak for the quality of the other guys, but I can assure you that these guys at *Claremont Dental Institute* are the real deal. This is the place you want to call on for everything from routine cleanings to emergency service. I am a notoriously bad dental patient with hyper-sensitive teeth and a low tolerance for pneumatic tools in my mouth. They understand this and they have earned my trust and gratitude. Give them a call and try for yourself.

Ive gone to several dentists over the years, but Ive never felt so comfortable as at this facility. My first visit was with Dr. Fountain. He was pleasant and caring as well as sensitive to my pain. When I went back today (two days later) for my oral surgery (two extractions) Dr. Stevens was my surgeon. He, also, was sensitive and caring... He gave me options and even Dr. Fountain came by to see how I was !! The staff are fantastic. They are all so very sweet !!! Later in the evening, the phone rang. Dr. Stevens (not the nurse or desk clerk, but the Dr. himself) called me to see if I was ok !!! Who does that anymore these days !!!! I was so highly impressed with the whole experience, and even the "little" things, like massage chairs and ear phones with music to relax me !!! I HIGHLY recommend this facility to everyone. They certainly have a lifetime customer with me. Ive already told my sisters about this facility, and they plan on calling for their Dentistry needs !!! I could not be happier with the entire staff and Dr.s !!!! If you fear going to the Dentist, make this your first stop !!!! God Bless them all !!!!!!!!!!!

I had an excellent experience today and I would like to share it. I have been a patient of Dr. Vijay Patel for many years. I live for part of the year in Tokyo, Japan. Last week I began experiencing pain and sensitivity in one of my teeth. I called Dr. Patel and he advised me on some precautions I could take until I saw him today. The service at reception was friendly and welcoming. I was offered to watch any Netflix movie while Dr. Patel worked on me. He took full x-rays and explained what was going on with my teeth and my options. I chose to have the tooth removed. He numbed me and within a few minutes he had the tooth out. Honestly, it was as simple as ordering a burger! He explained the antibiotics I was to take and he prescribed some pain medication if I should need it. It has been a few hours and I am well on the road to recovery. I commend Dr. Patel on his 40 + year expertise in dentistry and his professionalism. I am so pleased with how seamlessly he handled my case. He also has some of the best front office staff I have come across at any medical facility. Thank you Dr. Patel and thank you staff at Claremont Dental Institute.

Dr. Patel and the Claremont Dental Institute is by far the most accomplished, caring, technology-enabled and customer focused dental office I have ever experienced. I first started with Dr. Patel almost 20 years ago, and he and his office colleagues have done everything perfectly. I stayed even after my employer-sponsored dental plan drifted off to another provider. His preventative staff (e.g. cleaning) is experienced and first-rate. In terms of anything more major than that, Dr. Patel personally oversees and accomplishes it in a manner that makes him the perfect local dentist. And he is a perfectionist; it has to be painless and perfect and it always is. He is also very involved in the community, conducting numerous free clinics and so forth. Oh, and his new office is completely state of the art, with rooms with views of Claremont and chairs with massages! Enough said? Thank you Dr. Patel.... or more precisely, my smile thanks you!

WOW, a week post bad tooth coming out. Ive never felt better. You guys did a terrific job, despite my financial and medical challenges we had to overcome. Because of some really bad experiences with previous dental groups, I came to you pretty jaded. Your fair and enthusiastic attitude to be there for me when I could resolve the financial issue allowed me to come in relaxed and face the emotional issue. The oral surgeon was professional, caring, and thorough, keeping my welfare above everything else in the procedure. I actually look forward to the nest visit. Imagine! I will send friends and family to your office with with my blessings for you both.

I was in town for college interviews with my son when my crown/cap fell off. I needed emergency temporary assistance and called the Claremont Dental Institute. From the initial call, they assured me that everything would be fine. They accommodated me even though I was not a regular client. The entire process was professional. The staff, and in particular Chrissy, was friendly, reassuring, and efficient. If I could give them 50 stars, I would. And now that my son plans to attend go to school at the 5Cs, I can take comfort in knowing that he will have access to great dental care. I highly recommend CDI.

Recommending this place to everyone, especially those who are terrified of the dentists like me ! Dr. Patel was amazing. The previous dentist messed up my wisdom tooth , and broke it onto half, and left it there .... stating that I have to have the surgery in order to remove the tooth. After sevaral months in pain - since after my previous experience I was really afraid to even walk by the dentists office - I called Dr. Patel`s office ( for emergency appoitement ) on Sunday The whole procedure ( no sergery ) of extraction took Dr. Patel app 3 minutes . They were fantastic and very professional !!!!
