Folks here cared for our two cats until they died of old age, and still care for our 7-year-old golden doodle. We moved her care from another place that was always too busy for immediate appointments. Since Dr. Phimester took over, staffing is adequate and, what I like - there are vets of different ages and different interests, so I can be sure treatment of my dog reflects a wide range of experience. The technicians are competent and friendly to the animals, and all of the vets, including subs in around holidays, are great with the animals. Everyone listens to our concerns and gives us full discussion of diagnosis and ramifications, including proper use of medications. They do not push unnecessary meds - for my cat who barely goes outdoors, they asked if I really wanted to have a rabies shot. One doc always notices tooth condition and warns me there will eventually need to be a cleaning done, but is fine with waiting until it makes most sense, given the cost of the treatment. When my insurance company denied a claim for treatment, Kensington Vets redid the form to clarify the diagnosis and I received my reimbursement promptly- they said they can submit the forms for me from now on. In short, a reliable and friendly veterinary service. Highly recommended.

They are the greatest! !! Dr Phimister and and all of her staff are always so friendly and courteous, we felt welcomed front day one by everyone .. They are such an honest and caring group, even through the unplanned scary emergency visits they have comforted me and whichever member of my large furry family at the time throughout our experience ..We have never recieved less than their proffesional sincere friendly, caring honest and complete service and attention no matter how busy they are..They are so conveniently close to my home, and their front office, bathroom, waiting room, and patient rooms are always so clean and organized..Kensington Vet has made my sick babies feel better and saved their lives countless times and I am eternally grateful to their wonderful Doctors and staff.. We had the great fortune of having Dr. Beers and the incredible staff at Kensington provide veterinary care for our 21 year-old cats final 16 months. Bebe was a tough cookie, but like many older cats, she had chronic renal failure. Dr. Beers worked closely with us to research various treatments and options to slow the progression of the disease. Im a big researcher, especially when it comes to advocacy for my familys health, and Dr. Beers was great about listening to my findings and counseling on the pros and cons of any treatment or methodology. Addie and the rest of the staff treated our lady like the Queen she was, and were always patient and responded quickly to our questions and needs. I cant recommend them enough- and when the day comes that a new furry face enters our lives, Kensington will be our vet.

We love Kensington Vet and we have tried just about every vet in the East Bay with our 3 dogs, and werent satisfied with their service. But Kensington, from the from office staff (friendly, helpful and connectable via email) to Dr Wendy Beers were wonderful and we look forward to working with them with all our vet care needs. We especially appreciated that Dr Beers was not test happy (as many other vet clinics are) and her long experience convinced us to follow a more "wait and see" policy. She was also open to talking with us and was not dismissive (like a lot of vets and doctors are) of our own "findings." We were also given her full attention during our visits, we didnt feel press for time. All around they deserve a 5 star rating.

Our dog Lili loves this place. Although shes a rescue, and normally skittish about being left behind, the friendly, professional staff know just how to reassure her. She likes how Dr. Phimster sits down on the floor with her, nose to nose, so to speak, and gets to know her a bit before she gives her a physical exam. A few years back, when the time came to let our beloved Mango go, we could not have asked for more compassionate care than they provided us. Although its a Veterinary Hospital, the ambience is relaxing and welcoming - it feels like an integral part of the neighborhood. I could not recommend it more highly.

I trust Kensington Veterinary Hospital to take care of my three dogs. There is no higher praise. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Truthfully, in this day and age this is a rare experience. I have been a devotee of Wendy Beers for a long time. In fact, it was the realization that she was affiliated with KVH that brought me to them in the first place. My Dachshunds have been going to Kensington Vet Hospital since they were puppies. They are now 5 years old, happy, and healthy, due to the outstanding care they receive from Dr. Phimmister and the other staff people at this wonderful veterinary service! We never have to wait for an appointment, we get follow-up calls and gentle reminders about making appointments, and all of the individuals there are very responsive to my questions and my dogs needs. I couldnt be happier and I highly recommend Kensington Veterinary Hospital. Five stars!

I am so grateful to have this veterinary service so close to my home. Ive taken my dogs there since they opened. Dr. Phimister is wonderful with them. Its so hard to find someone you trust the way I trust Dr. Phimister. She has a beautiful way of sitting with them on their level and taking her time to listen to them and to me. That makes a huge difference. The staff is very kind and good with my dogs as well, and very generous with treats and boy does that speak their language. My dogs love going there. And so do I.

Kensington Vet Hospital is fantastic!! We have consistently had the highest level of service there from everyone. Dr. Beers and Dr. Phimister are excellent vets, knowledgeable, kind and committed to doing the best job possible. The desk staff and techs are great too!! Weve tried several vets in the East Bay and Dr. Beers is at the top of our list. She asked great questions, and listened to what we had to say before offering her thoughtful analysis. She explained things … not a common approach in our experience and provided us options. She didnt strong-arm us into any actions or recommend any unnecessary procedures. Shes earned our trust. Oh, and the front desk people are super nice and professional. Weve never had to wait longer than 5 minutes either.
