First, like most people, I dread the idea of anyone doing work in my mouth, sticking my gums with needles, drilling, grinding, taking impressions that make you gag. I had chosen a dentist near my work and the experience was horrible. I then chose Dr. Patels office since it was near my home. What a great dental office. I feel like everyone is competent and efficient at their job there. I have two different dental insurance policies and the billing has been seemless. I get texts reminding me of the appointments and their times are flexible and work well for me. Dr. Patel seems to be super efficient and does a great job of explaining the work he plans to do, but also seems to spend the time where the work is sensitive. I never have felt that Im being sold something I dont need. I can recommend them without any reservation.

Dr. Patel is terrific at his job and runs a nice office, but has a tendency to fill up his appointment book too much. This often results in quick visits, which is nice, but too often you are left with his assistants to finish some tasks as he moves on to the next patient. Ive had this happen a few times now, and twice the assistant has messed something up resulting in Dr. Patel having to come back in to fix it. One visit they had forgotten about me in one of the rooms, and I sat there for 40 minutes just to have them say sorry, and that I was actually all done. This is somewhat disconcerting, since I think he should spend the time to make sure everything goes well each visit.

I had a really bad pain on a back molar and couldnt eat and needed to schedule an emergency appointment. I am back home with family and no longer use a dentist in the area. I found one online and had an appointment there for the next day but didnt think I could wait that long and my dad said his dentist was the best ever and I had to go there instead. He called them early the next morning and they said I could come in right away. They totally fit me in right when I got there and helped me! They were really honest and did not try to sell me stuff I did not need. They were super nice and genuine. It was definitely my best dental experience yet.

I have gone to Dr Patel for 2+ years now and I think that he is very professional and helpful. He discusses everything with you before he proceeds. His receptionists and hygienists are also very helpful and kind. I would recommend this dentist. JAM Pacific Beach

They provided decent dental service, with TVs to watch as you get cleaned, and positive adivce, at an easy location for those in the PB/la jolla area.
