I discovered recently that I fall into the category of kinesthetic learners, meaning, I learn best hands-on by doing. Therefore, this has made it extremely difficult to have faith in our modern healthcare system, primarily because in my opinion, general physicians prescribe drugs or medications to battle symptoms and when new symptoms manifest as a result of said medications, then additional medications are prescribed to counteract those new symptoms from prolonged drug use. Effectively disabling a persons own ability to heal, repair, and find wellness. Prior to my first adjustment with Advanced Health Chiropractic, I was nearly convinced that surgery was imminent and unavoidable, and I couldnt be more pleased to have been completely wrong about that. Dr Khoury and his AHC staff not only helped me procure relief, but more powerfully, helped me regain faith and trust that my own body can heal any ailment. AHC is dedicated to complete human optimization, not just pain relief or bandaging symptoms. In other words, I believe they want their clients to reach places of wellness and fitness far beyond what the client(s) could imagine was possible. I could not possibly recommend AHC any more, even if I were completely healthy, fit, strong, and agile, I would still go regularly for adjustments, simply to know without a shadow of a doubt, to verify and confirm that my spine (and more importantly nervous system) was as close to tip top as physically possible. Thank you Dr. Khoury, miracles really are happening and I believe they are all inspired from your vision and legacy at Advanced Health Chiropractic.

Wednesday I “pulled” a muscle in my back, due to a 50 pound English bulldog puppy whipping me around like as kite on a string. For a full week I took Motrin and “dealt with the pain”. And so it went until one morning I woke up at 5:00 AM with excruciating pain. I could not move to get up from the bed. I was sure I now had “torn” a muscle, probably the one I “pulled”. I went online and found Advanced Health Chiropractic. As soon as they opened I called for an appointment. I am not sure why I chose this course of action. I have never been to a chiropractor before and had heard many conflicting accounts about chiropractic care. It turned out to be the best choice ever! Dr Khoury took time to not only assess my condition but to thoroughly explain why adjusting my spine and neck would alleviate the pain in my sore back muscles. I was a total skeptic at first, but once Dr Khoury adjusted my spine and neck there was instant relief. Dr Khoury was so caring and sensitive to my pain that he came in on the morning of his day off to continue his care of my injured back and neck. I can’t believe how quickly my pain subsided. I feel like I got my life back! I am now an advocate of chiropractic care. I don’t totally understand how it works, but I can tell you it does work! I thought the pain is coming from a “sore”, “pulled” or “torn” muscle, I learned that muscle is connected to nerves in my spine and if my spine is adjusted those nerves settle down and the pain stops.

When I threw my back out in early February, I thought I would give it a few days rest and be back on my feet. A week went by and I still could not stand up straight and had painful spasms shooting up my back. A co worker gave me the phone number of Advanced Health Chiropractic in Livermore. She told me how she has been going to chiropractors her entire life and she has never been more satisfied then with this place. I never once went to a chiropractor. I have a hard enough time when I accidentally crack my own knuckles... however I knew I needed help and gave them a call. After the initial exam I had my first adjustment. it was over in five minutes with no pain! I went home, made myself some tea and sat to think about what just happened to my body. I felt aware, I felt relaxed and I felt no spasms! Since then I have consistently been going for my adjustments. Not only is my back better, but I have noticed that other symptoms I just passed off as "oh thats just how my body works" are diminishing. After each adjustment I am in awe with how great I feel! The genuine enthusiasm that all the staff members have in seeing the progress of your health keeps me motivated and always looking forward to my next appointment.

Im feeling "human" again, thanks to Dr. Khoury and his team at Advanced Health Chiropractic. I have been suffering chronic pain in my right arm due to a pinched nerve caused by degraded vertebrae. My neck was locked in a forward position. The drugs my doctor prescribed were not working. Life was barely tolerable. My fantastic wife has friends who recommended that I call Dr. Khoury, and she called on a Friday night after 9 PM. I received a call from Dr. Khoury five minutes later, and he offered to see me first thing Saturday morning. He completed a thorough evaluation and we started treatment right away. He and his team had to dig me out of a hole, and it has paid off. I went from getting only 1-2 hours sleep a night, and Im now able to get a full nights sleep. Life is close to normal, although we have more work to do. In our first meeting, Dr. Khoury told me, "Im good, but not God." Dr. Khoury, I have to tell you, youre really GOOD! Thank you!

What an amazing chiropractic team! I DO mean team too! The doctors are wonderful. Very thorough! They always have time to inquire about any issues you have or have had in the past and are ready to offer amazing adjustments and advice on how to feel better over all. There are also classes to help with your chiropractic issues, weekly handouts covering all manner of health issues and massage chairs available if youre interested, I appreciate their concern, helpfulness and humor. A great group! I mentioned a team because I couldnt write a review of Advanced Health Chiropractic without mentioning the ladies at the desk. I have yet to go in and see one of them without a smile on their face and a cheery helpful attitude! I dont think people look forward to going to the doctors office very often, but with this bunch I cant wait for my appointment! Give these guys a try! You wont regret it!

My first visit to AHC was amazing, the Staff and Dr.s instantly showed me I am a valued person, more so I was given in depth care with a plan of action to recover my mental, emotional and physical well being through step by step understanding of my injury "Rear End Collision, Resulting in Concussion, Spinal Injury and Reverse Curvature of the Spine". The Dr.s and Staff care about my well being, it shows through their actions, intellect and approach to health, walk in and immediately feel how intense their pride and desire for your health is expressed. I am so impressed with Dr Khoury, he made it clear to me what my injuries were, what I needed to do to heal myself and his attitude trumped my pain and fear of the process. He seen that in me and showed compassion yet pushed me to see where I can be with modality, care and proper attitude. Love this place and all its staff.
