I saw so many negative reviews on Google about Memorial and I felt compelled to share my experiences with them. I have been there twice in the past 10 months and both times were superior than other ER experiences I have had. The first time was during the summer when I incurred a severe burn. The ER was fairly busy so I expected to wait awhile. I did wait some but still found myself done in less than three hours start to finish. Great people as well as caring on all levels in spite of how busy they were. My most recent visit was today. I called ahead to see what the wait time looked like and a friendly lady told me there wasnt anyone in the waiting area needing to bee seen. I came in right away and was done start to finish in less than two hours with no waiting. This including standard triage, xrays, administration of pain medication and discharge. Maybe it is because I have often worked around the medical industry off and on during my life that I do not have unrealistic expectations of service from my healthcare providers. Be a patient patient and understand that if someone comes in via ambulance or paramedics that their issue is more likely alot more urgent than those who are able to arrive under their own power. Understand that "triage" is the process nurses and staff use in order to prioritize who will be seen first not who is in line first. Thank you again Long Beach Memorial staff.

This is the worst hospital I have ever had to deal with. Took my son to emergency and it took them 24 hours to get him help. Once in the hospital the doctors couldnt seem to scratch their ass without complications. Then when letting my son so on a broken hip they wanted to give him a walker instead of crutches. I had to say we were not leaving till we get crutches. Then they didnt want to give him pain meds for a broken hip. I insisted on meds for my son and the pharmacy took 3 days to fill it. Wow!!! I wouldnt go there again if I was going to die, because they would just help the process along.

My mother was taken to this facility after having what we thought was a stroke - it ended up being an anxiety attack. However the Care she received there was commendable. Dr Choi took time to respond all of my questions and the staff was very attentive. Once in a room on the 4th floor, the nursing team continue to show dinamism and sensibility. Even though it took forever to get the MRI results and other test performed, Tobie continuosly checked on us and make sure to be on top of any communication coming in with the results. Thank you Tobie for your exceptional service, we felt taken care of.

This has been my 3rd time here and the first two times were good but this time was HORRIBLE i have been here since 5:30 with abdominal pain and at 12:20 they FINALLY passed me to a "room" which is actually a bed in the hallway and i am still waiting for a doctor to come see me. I am extremely disappointed at the service this time when the main reason we chose this hospital was for the great service previous times. Now were reconsidering our choice

Charge up your insurance card and make you sit in the waiting room all day and night the longer one time I said here for almost 15 hours and when I decided to go home they wanted to call me the next day somebody come really died waiting that long in a hospital and they really need medical attention they put the ambulance before you when you were already there they have priority because theyre coming by paramedics really

Uncovered Corruption

This is the worst place for parterns in Care and new born babies. Do yourself a favor and never come near this establishment. The attention is horrible they wake you up in the middle of the night to shift rooms. They dont give the sufficent Care for patients and or partners in care. With nothing left to say, dont come here!!!! Please, if you dont believe me, well come and ser for yourself

I was born in this hospital and they are the worst. I have too wait two - three hours to see a doctor plus they stop seeing patients at the age of 21, and they dont remind you about doctor appointments. I had to cancel an appointment today because no reminder.
