Not happy about my care too many reasons: 1. Nov. 2016 - Dr. Shamala administered flu shots and did not know my age! Asked me if I was over 65 when I am already 66! She billed my insurance $104.00 for the flu shot: $69 for administering and $35 for the chemical. She tried to charge me $89.86 as "my" portion of non-covered physical and flu shot. I called my insurance and they told me I only owed $6.00. 2. Dec. 2016 - I developed a bad bladder infection and she refused to call in a prescription to my pharmacy that late afternoon when I was experiencing a lot of discomfort. She wanted to see me the next day! I had to call TELADOC to get it from a stranger without hesitation. 3. Feb. 2017 - I had a positive mammogram. Valley Radiology (VRI) notified her on that same day in writing. I didnt know of it until I called her office five weeks later (3/27/17) to inquire about the outcome of it! She said VRI should have contacted me and had an ultrasound done! That is not what they said! 4. Mar. 2017 - I developed odd heart palpitations so I called my cardiologist and was told to talk to Dr. Shamala instead as she had the results of two tests performed in Feb.. She claimed she had no records of the latest tests. Only a note. Apex cardiology insisted she had it. She could have looked at the results from the tests performed in 2015 and discussed those with the cardiologist as I had requested. I will entrust my health with a more caring organization where I can manage my records online.

Dr. Shamala is a refreshing and vibrant doctor. She has a spirit and energy about her that is infectious, and I wish she was MY doctor! She is my mothers doctor. We cannot say enough good things about her, and the lovely staff in her office. My mother has a plethora of medical issues and is not the easiest patient to deal with; However, Dr. Shamala (and her assistant Brandi) go out of their way to make sure that my mother is always comfortable, respected, and HEARD. She *listens* to all of the concerns, *answers* all of your questions, and uses a very in-depth comprehensive approach to her style of healing. She doesnt rush my mother at all, and is just so unbelievably patient. She is an innovative woman and we feel SO blessed to have Dr. Shamala behind us for every step of this long road of healing. If you are in the market for a classic, yet innovative and sweet-hearted family doctor, I *HighLy* reccommend her. When I have children, I definitely want this woman to be their doctor!! Doctor, if you read this, Thank You, for being such a delightful and hard-working woman. You have earned our utmost respect. <3

I have been going to Dr. Shamala for about a year and a half now. Shes very well informed and her bedside manner is the best Ive seen in years. She really cares about her patients and she takes a personal interest in them, which is very important to me. She takes the time to talk to me rather than rushing me in and out of the office. Ive been shuffled around so much over the years and its really nice to see a doctor who takes the time to really listen to me. She reminds me of way back when when doctors actually made house calls. :-)

Love Dr. Shamala. She has been my Primary Care doctor for several years now. She has a wonderful personality which makes her easy to talk to. She takes her time to hear your concerns. She will educates you with good knowledge and direction should you need help with a health concern or just to help you feel better when feeling sick. I like having a doctor that you can trust.
