Hi my name is Shasta and I am writing from heaven. My birthday is 3-15-2003 but the doctors had my wrong birthday. I will tell you later why that mattered. I went to Norco Animal Hospital on 11-17-2015 because I ripped my dewclaw. When I was 3 I was bit by a rattlesnake and was scared of needles. So they needed to give me anesthesia. My mom scheduled me an appt and The Dr. put me to sleep to get me better. But what the hospital didnt tell her was they were in a hurry that night so I would not get an IV with surgery. It was disaster from the beginning. They basically sent me home paralyzed. My mom and dad took me back for fluids and was asked why they didnt authorize an IV during surgery, My mom was never asked she just assumed I would have one like I always had. But the truth is they didnt do one because they were too busy. Dr Siegel is a caring doctor but just rushed. Norco Animal Hospital is about making a quota not making us pets better. This is where my age comes into play. The second Dr that I saw when I was taken back because I was so sick said well she is almost 14. I am not and I was fine when I came in. I was running, eating, playing and was my normal self. They tried to blame my age for what they had did. After surgery I had an emergency when I was home and my mom called at 8:30 am 4 days after surgery and asked for Dr. Siegel. They told her Dr. Siegel was doing a procedure and would call her back. They never gave Dr. Siegel the message. Dr. Siegel got the message by looking on her computer and called my dad at 4:00 pm but it was too late I was sent to heaven with my tongue paralyzed from surgery and my back legs couldnt move. After one huge bill later my mom and dad did everything to save me but they saw me suffering and had to let me go. Norco Animal Hospital isnt a wise choice any longer please take your beloved pets somewhere else. Its too hard looking down from heaven seeing my family so torn up. They cant sleep and are sick now too. Please dont send another dog or cat to heaven right now we do love it on earth with our family more. XOXO SHASTA I am ok now I am in heaven but I just want a better choice for other pets it is too hard seeing my family and other families so sad.

I have (still) a little basset hound 12 weeks old, I live in norco. she got all her shots up to date and shes got positive parvo(Dr said because in the area Parvo is a very strong virus), I took my puppy to the vet as soon as I saw her sad, (she hadnt even vomited or done diarrhea at that moment 8am in the morning),my first appointment at N.A.H. was very possitive, reasonable prices, and prompt service. They told me that she had very good chances to live because we detected it early, so she got antibiotics, IV fluids and medicine to avoid diarrhea and vomiting. However, days have come by and she is getting worse, vomiting every hour. I took her to N.A.H. for her IV fluids and antibiotics boost at 8am, obviously they knew my dogs case, and they couldnt take her as an emergency case, because they were short of Doctors on Saturdays(Can you belive that! What a lack of responsability). As a result Im giving them 3 stars, so far, because they have a good service in week days, but they cannot help you on weekends ( I dont know if my puppy is going to survive). So, if on Friday your pet has something wrong, please go somewhere else. I hope it works and Ill update what happen to my puppy. Update: 8:30pm. My dog is dying now!! They did not care about my dog untill they saw her dying! 4 hours after I told them she was really sick they gave her the IV fluids!! If she dies is Dr. Kims fault!! She didnt care my dog, which is part of my family. Update 6/20/2010, 2:00pm: She just pastaway!. I have one dog, 2 years old, he survived parvo,I wasnt new at all dealing with this illness. I followed every directions Drs at N.A.H told me, and today in the morning I asked them to re-check her again, and they didnt even want to check her in!! How dissapointing!. I had never seen a dog dying with this illness, she was in intense pain, it was so sad and stressful!.How the doctor didnt help me in her crisis?! This is my review! I hope it works for you! To me they deserve only one star now.

I brought a dog I had found (she found me actually) here to get checked out initially as I have other dogs and before I took care of her I wanted to make sure she was ok (IE didnt have any infections that could potentially harm the other animals). When I walked in to the facility the woman behind the desk was immediately rude, telling me that I needed an appointment and that she wouldnt be able to help me at all. (This was later in the day Sunday, not very busy at all.) She wouldnt even check to see if the dog had a chip.(Literally a 10 second process.) Now I have brought my animals to this facility many times for the clinic they have on the weekends to get their shots, and even when one of my other dogs had a slight injury they took him in and got him taken care of immediately. The level of care during this visit unfortunately soured my opinion of the facility, and I have heard the same issue from other people that have brought their pets there recently. I ended up bringing the dog to the Animal & Bird Hospital down the road, and they immediately checked the dog for a chip, and got her setup for a visit with the vet on staff that day. I got the dog a few shots just to be sure and she checked out on everything else. I would not recommend bringing any furry family member to this facility in an emergency, as they may just tell you that you need an appointment for that,

Very nice and caring staff. I brought my cat here today because of a hole shaped cut that appeared on her belly today. I believe I left my cat Storm in good hands, nurse was very kind and patient and caring to my pet. Doctor was OK, didnt really communicate with us. Surgery went by fast and have been informed my cat is fine and is ready to be picked up by tomorrow morning. Only bad thing is the prices, it is a little too pricey and the dogs they keep until their owners come to pick them up do nothing but bark and its very loud and starts to get annoying after a while, but they cant really help it.. I do not know the nurses name but she was very nice and she said my cat looks exactly like her cat, and I believe her cats name is Max. Lol. Overall pretty good experience and recommend if you dont mind the pricing. I am picking up my kitty tomorrow and I believe I left her in good hands. My cat was very scared but the nurse was very kind, caring and gentle with her and I really appreciate it. Thank you for taking care of my baby and making sure she gets the best care ever!! This is my cat. Update: Came and picked up my cat this morning. Surgery was fast and shes doing just fine. They messed up on our payments and almost charged us more than they should have, but nice staff and experience. Thank you for helping my baby!!
