Cannot Recommend –this incident happened a few years back but its a situation that should never occur at any veterinary practice ever! What made this experience so awful was Dr. Tina Stephens trying to run up hundreds of dollars of tests on a puppy that she was told had Intra-Trac 3 vaccine 8 days earlier (this vaccine is for Adenovirous 2, Parainfluenza & Bordatella). The puppy was eating normally, and in fact, had a voracious appetite. Yet this vet wanted to do a$ 178.00 blood panel and $180.00 worth of x-rays and various and sundry other things adding up to $600!!! IMO, a good vet LISTENS to the information a client conveys in terms of symptoms, events and circumstances and proceeds to rule out things in order of probability. Treatment was declined because it seemed as inappropriate as Dr. Stephens theatrics seemingly intended to frighten. The puppy in question was later taken to a veterinary practice on Laguna Canyon Rd, where the veterinarian determined she had "Kennel Cough" (Bordatella) from her recent intranasal vaccine. No hysterics, no fear tactics, just plain old excellent diagnostic skills ...

My dog right now is the first dog I have ever had. Since i got him i have taken to a number of animal hospitals and have ALWAYS been let down. Marina Hills is THE ONLY place I have ever felt my pet was safe and in the best of hands. Dr.Simon and his staff are far beyond amazing and talented when it come to dealing with animals, especially the unruly ones. Do yourself a favor and take your little loves on straight to Marnia Hills. Like I said, the dog I have is my first pet, and the staff and Dr.Simon are fully aware of that, and not once have I ever been taken advantage of. I love Marina Hills, and I would never trust any other place with my little loved one

This hospital is fantastic! We moved to CA recently and had to find a new vet for our dog and 3 cats. I have been there twice, once for my dogs injured leg and once for a well visit for one of my cats, and I couldnt be happier. Super friendly staff, clean and welcoming atmosphere, and great service. At both visits, after consulting with the doctors, I received a breakdown of the recommended treatment and associated fees. Nothing was done until I gave consent to all treatment and charges, which makes for a pleasant check-out - no surprises when you get the bill! I highly recommend Marina Hills Hospital to anyone looking for a caring veterinarians office.

The staff is simply wonderful and caring. They take the time to really find out what is wrong with your dog. They even have two boarding areas, one for dogs and one for cats. I could not believe they have digital x-rays for dogs and cats. From the medical industry this means 90% less radiation for you pet and instant results on what is wrong. They also have all the microscopes needed to detect parasites right there and then. They dont need to send the poop sample out to the lab. They really know what they are doing and are serious about helping you. The best marriage for me technology and kind service. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I have been using Marina Hills Animal Hospital for over 4 years and although I recently lost my dog, I will continue to recommend them and, someday in the future when I adopt a new friend, use them again. Dr. Simon, Dr. Stephens and their staff are extremely knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. They always discussed all options available along with costs and potential outcomes so I could make the best decision for my dog. Taking your furry friend to the vet is nearly always stressful...this team makes it much easier with their friendly, calm and caring attitude...I cannot recommend they highly enough!

Marina Hills has consistently provided great, compassionate service for our dog. Recently our dog had surgery at Marina Hills, and Dr. Stevens followed up with phone calls to check on how she was doing. She also provided detailed information regarding lab findings (for bladder stones) and recommendations. She always patiently and thoroughly answers all my questions. Staff is great as well! They clearly love animals...

My dog had stones that was obstructing him pretty severely. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The doctor took the time to explain everything to me so I could understand. The staff was very friendly and incredibly nice in very stressful time for me. I would recommend this place any day of the week.

The BEST in OC! We cant thank Dr. Simons, Dr. Stephens and Marina Hills Staff enough for their continuing compassion with and knowledge about animals, from small to large. We have total trust in their treatment of all of our dogs. Also 5 ***** technology, cleanliness and availability in emergencies!
