Dr Wong has been attending my family for years. We’ve learned to consult him first when pain arises, because we have learned that his purview is far wider than we would have guessed and because he typically yields better results than the doctor or specialist. When I have followed up his work with visits to other medical professionals I’ve been happy to learn that he was taking me or my family member in the right direction. My podiatrist was even impressed with what a low price I paid for my custom-made orthotics through Dr Wong. These top-of-the-line orthotics are supportive of all three arches and easily transfer from my gym shoes to my heels to my boots, so I can be feminine and stable all at the same time. When my daughter’s jaw got dislocated it was Dr Wong and his inflammation-reducing laser, more than the physical therapist with his electrical-pulse machine, who got the swelling down and stabilized the situation. A visit to Dr Wong is comfortably routine. I arrive at his conveniently located office (it is situated perfectly for access on and off the freeway) in beautiful Orinda and usually find nearby, unmetered parking. Though he has a parking lot, it is rather cramped so I prefer to park nearby on the street. I like to be early or on time, because Dr Wong is ready for me right on schedule. He is very conscientious of everyone’s time. The staff is friendly, the office cheerful and reflective of his being a family man. There are toys for children, magazines for adults…The appointment begins with informing him of the places that hurt. There is a swift but thorough examination of the problem area. What follows is usually a period of about 15 minutes of prepping one’s body for the hand’s-on work. This often means lying on a padded table, with electrodes hooked up to an electrical-stimulation machine, with hot towels on one’s body…It’s very relaxing. Then Dr Wong puts away the machine and the towels and carries out the appropriate manipulations. He has all kinds of tables and tools to suit the situation. If he believes I should return for a follow-up he will advise me as to timing, but he is never pushy. He often gives his patients a hug goodbye, probably the ones he’s been seeing for years, but he is personable and authentic from day one. A typical session costs $55 ($25 if my insurance pitches in), so he is very affordable. He is honorable and highly skilled and has my highest recommendation.

There is no reason I can see in this great universe of ours how I actually got to see Dr. Kevin for the first time. Except perhaps "good luck" and some sort of Master Plan. I dont live in the Bay Area. I currently live in Hyderabad, India. But due to our various travels, I found myself in October of 2012 in San Francisco..and in a great deal of pain. Dr. Kevin came highly recommended from a friend in the area...and he was able to squeeze me (and my wife!) in with very short notice. Dr. Kevin is not just a chiropractor.. he is a healer. And he genuinely cares about his patients. The treatments, orthotics, exercise plan (and the tennis-ball trick!) I received at Orinda Chiropractic got me squared-away and able to get on the plane for a pain-free 30-hour journey back to India. And another year and a half of golf! But beside the treatments and the caring... it was the advice I received. Dr Kevin was straight with me and said that unless I lost weight and changed my lifestyle, my condition would only worsen and become more crippling. I took his word for it. By November of 2013, I had lost 35 kgs and I owe much of the kick-start to Dr Kevin Wong! By December, however... my new active lifestyle was beginning to take its toll. I saw an orthopedic surgeon here in India... and a RTHR (right total hip replacement) surgery was indicated. I wrote to Dr Wong for his advice. I received an instant reply with more sage advice, some congratulations for losing the weight...and his blessing for getting the surgery done. He assured me that it was going to be for the best in my case, and reassured me that not all western medicine is a bad thing... and that these types of surgeries usually delivered a greatly-improved lifestyle. I am now Day Six Post Op and feeling great. I am up and around the house on a walker....and may be on a one-arm cane at the end of 30-days. Doing the physical therapy is not easy, but I have no choice. I am still in India and will be for the next 72 days, when we return to the U.S. for good.... we will be in Salt Lake City, Utah. And thats only a short flight away... because Dr. Kevin is, and will always be, my chiropractor!

You know you are in good hands, literally, when you are with Dr. Kevin. Dr. Kevin is a GREAT chiropractor. I have been going to him, on and off, for many years. I started going to him in high school. I was a little bit anxious my first visit because I had a misconception that this type of thing hurt. In all my years going to Kevin, I have never once been sore or felt like something was out of place. His office is calming and his presence is cheerful and knowledgeable. In the past, I have gone to Dr. Kevin for a variety of reasons. I have gone for back pain, running/foot pain, and my sister has gone for grinding teeth/headaches. I most recently went to him during my first pregnancy. I had issues with sciatica. Dr. Kevin helped me with these issues and was very accommodating to my schedule. The great thing about Dr. Kevin is that he helps you, and hes realistic. His office is quite a distance from my house (40 minutes!) so he knows I wont come in as regularly as I probably should. I have never been pressured to continue coming. He will make time in his full schedule (he stayed late, past office hours for me once) if he knows you are in serious need of help. For these reasons, I would highly suggest Orinda Chiropractic Center/Dr. Kevin.

Dr. Wong took a very skeptical me and made me a believer. Ive been dealing with back pain for six years since getting hit by a car when I was in my 20s. I had become familiar with pain and believed it was now part of my life. This, however, was far from the truth. The first visit was after severe muscle spasms, and only because my wife insisted I see a chiropractor. I was shocked when he recommended I see a doctor and get medication to help with the spasms and pain before really working on me. I was so used to the stories of chiropractors believing they can cure everything. After the spasms calmed down he began working on me and I cant imagine what my life used to be like. I am almost a full inch taller (according to my primary care physician), and I move around like a kid again. Best of all my energy is boundless. I had no idea how exhausting the pain was. Dr. Wong knew I was skeptical and took it slow, explaining everything in detail as he did it and not pushing me to do anything I wasnt comfortable with, but as I learned to trust him, the healing really began. I highly, highly recommend him and his work. I know it sounds absurd, but he changed my life.

Im a fairly active person and sometimes deal with back pains and strains which benefit from Chiropractic care. A couple of years ago I was looking for a new chiropractor after being fed up with Chiropractors who offer a "free initial evaluation" only to come back with some gloomy diagnosis and a high pressure sales pitch to sign up for an expensive "treatment program". I wanted a competent chiropractor who would give me the treatment that I needed when I needed it and not make me feel like I was in a used car dealership. I also wanted to avoid adjustments that caused more pain than they solved. Well... Kevin Wong at Orinda Chiropractic is just the guy I was looking for. He is very professional, clearly knows his stuff, has advanced equipment, and has never used any high pressure sales tactics. He provides clear treatment options and is honest when he thinks that I dont need any more. Additionally, his regular availability on early mornings and weekends is super convenient. I can (and have) confidently recommend him as a top-notch chiropractor!
