Ive been coming here for years with my puppy. Wait times (even with appointments) are atrocious, but the cost was worth it and the staff was friendly. This was reasonable and deserved 4 stars. HOWEVER, recent experiences here with our new puppy have not been so fortunate. He was found in the wash, and before we brought him around other animals we made an appointment for Sept 26th and brought him here. Paid for every test under the sun and a full check-up. They told us he was healthy but pretty underweight (which he was, he was starving!). He had some problems with diarrhea, we we under the assumption it was a sensitive stomach issue and put him on grain-free high-quality food and waited for him to adjust. On Oct 9th, his diarrhea was entirely liquid blood. I called the humane society to ask if we could bring him in. Their response was that he was positive for giardia and that we could get his medications and be on our merry way. When we got there, this was not the case. After waiting for several hours, we got to see a vet tech who told us they wanted a vet to check him out first, since it was so long since he tested positive for giardia (2 weeks). We argued against this due to the fees for seeing a vet and after much debate they settled on letting us pay for a parvo test before we could buy the giardia medication. He tested negative for parvo, and we lined up to buy the meds only to be told we had to wait to see a vet. (What?!) Fine. We waited a few more hours and saw the vet. In the meantime, we had to eat, so we went to grab a quick sandwich from subway up the street. In that 5 minutes, the puppy has diarrhea over every seat in the car. (Maybe if that happened in their building they wouldve been more quick to help us?) When we finally got to see the vet, we asked that the fees be waived, since they failed to inform us that he had tested positive for giardia in the first place. Their response was to say that they called and left a message (on the wrong number!) and thus were not responsible. They asked that we test for giardia again, because his test was "too old." We had enough money to buy medication for our dog. Not enough to spend another 300 in vet fees (which we paid the first time around!). So when confronted with this figure, we didnt know what to do and asked to speak with a manager. She was so kind enough to tell us that if we couldnt afford the fees for having a dog, we should pay to have him euthanized! I am happy to say we did not follow her professional advice and took him to Redlands Animal Hospital. We asked the Humane Society to print all of our records and presented them to Dr. Dusenberry. Reasonably, he couldnt prescribe medication for a dog hed never met. So he charged a small amount more for a quick check up and then sent us off with a strong dosage of medication to treat the giardia. He is now a happy, healthy, very well behaved dog turning a year old this month. Its disappointing that the Humane Societys response to a simple issue was to give us the run around for 8 hours and charge us for everything they could think of. Its disgusting that they suggest euthanizing a dog because he has giardia (which took a week of meds to fix!).

SHOUT OUT TO ALL THINGS THEYVE DONE FOR 4CATS AND 4 DOGS IVE HAD!!!!! Yes some staffs are not as friendly as they should be but COME ON!!!! For Godsake!!! First of all theyre always busy, hectic and full of customers, if YOU PEOPLE who gave negative comments about how crappie their services are you should come to other vet and see how much more they charge you and how some of them are rude too.. I am a nurse myself and I know how frustrating it could be working in the environment with other people who wants their love one, in this case their pets, to get well or to get the best treatment they could have.. so please, give them a break, theyre only humans too just like you!!! Another thing, DONT YOU DARE COMPLAIN HOW SLOW THEIR SERVICES ARE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DONT BOOK APPT YOURSELF, shame on you if you want low price treatment for your pets but its an emergency please go to a vet or emergency pet hospital, having to pay more is your responsibility as a PET OWNER if your pet are sick!!! SO DONT COME HERE YAPPING AND COMPLAINING!!! Also for people who complain about how they want more money or they want you to spend money there, dont think so buddy, the vet is not even pushing me to even treat my cat there I was honest about me not having money and they told me to either seek another treatment or to go somewhere else they can do it cheaper, they give me a list to compare prices and they even follow up and ask how my cat is doing, (BTW my cat is doing better doing treatment for his gingivitis from leukemia) so yeah.. YOU GOTTA REMEMBER HUMANE SOCIETY IS THERE AND BEING AFFORDABLE FOR US PEOPLE THAT CANT PAY MUCH OR IN A TIGHT BUDGET BUT LOVE ANIMALS. another thing too like I said once again theyre human, some of them are better at communication with other people and some dont... ☺☺☺☺☺

They care about your pet here, not your wallet. Their prices on spay and neuter are the lowest youll find anywhere (so you have no excuse not too...) They offer low cost regular vet services even nail trimming and dental care/cleaning. Dont forget to get your pet ID micro chipped here. They do get overwhelmed at times and fall behind. While walk-ins are welcome, it is recommended to make an appointment. Dont show up and expect to zip in and out. Leave a generous amount of buffer time in your schedule so you dont stress, your pet and yourself, out. The facility is modern and clean. The waiting area is a bit cramped at times and there is limited seating so try not to bring any unnecessary people. There is a outdoor walk and grass potty park on the west side of the building complete with complimentary poo bags. The staff is professional and understanding. For safety and as a courtesy to all, please have your pet leashed or kenneled. Do not let pets wander or bother other pets or people. If you bring any children, dont let them yell and run around or touch others pets. Pets may be nervous, scared or ill and may react unpredictably around a child.

I have never ever been disappointed with the services or the wait. My time is important however, I go early and the wait is not bad at all. They are very organized and good with my fur children. They provide services at a lower cost and they do there job well. If you think the wait is bad, well go to LLAH. Now there is a wait and a high cost for services. I wanted to update this as of June 2016. I still feel the same way with one exception, I admire anyone who volunteers and yes people can have bad days. I dont appreciate the attitude of the woman that takes the names each Saturday. I feel she has no interest in being helpful but more of a rude, uncaring, nasty attitude if you dont play her rules. She wanted to make a rude comment because I took my cat in to sign up and he was in distress screaming his head off. She stopped short when I said, loudly - what do you want me to do ???? She put us at the end of the line that day also. I think she needs to stay home and they need to get some that will understand its not easy sometimes for those of us either.
