Absolutely excellent experience. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and animal loving. My pup is a 16 month extremely energetic people loving other dog disliking female European German Shepherd Dog. My pup was due for her DHPL, Rabies and Bordetella. I prefer oral or injected Bordetella and the office accommodated my request. We discussed the goals in place for my pup. Dr. Woods took time with us, was patient, and was able to discuss topics at an extremely knowledgeable level. My pup was able to lie down and relax as we discussed goals, strategies, trainer/breeders advice, future work roles. This is unusual as my pup typically remains animated when around people and definitely does not lie down and relax - as a rule. I consider this a positive on the part of Dr. Woods. The Vet techs and the front desk staff were kind, professional and helpful. The Vet techs were great about the shots and the blood pull. They spent some time with her after the shots so she would not automatically associate the techs with shots. I do not want her to dislike the vet. The office worked with me to get my pup into an office without encountering a face off with other canines. (My pup is not a dog biter or killer, she just does not like other dogs and lets them know to stay away - loudly and in their face. She does not bite though.) I love the fact the hours have been extended and that I can access help after hours if needed. Excellent experience.

I began taking my two dogs in October 2014. From the very beginning we received comprehensive, compassionate care from Dr. Laflin and her staff. Especially Nancy! My pitbull was in her end of days fighting Cancer. Being there provided me with the additional resources I needed to give my dog a good quality of life and help transition my lab and I to life without my pitbull. I continued to take my Labrador of ten years to see Dr. Laflin for chiropractic work on his hips and back. After starting him on joint supplements and vitamins he carries in like a 5-6 year old lab. Its wonderful to see him thrive waaaay better. I have only experienced one displeasing visit with Dr. Norell but she is no longer there. A couple months ago I was left to tend to a 3 year old pitbull. I took her to Dr. Woods, the new owner. We received the same welcoming and Nina got a lot of attention and from her new Vet! These two veterinarians make an exceptional dynamic duo providing holistic and conventional medicinal practices. Their balance of the two is very rare! Oh and they dont push countless, unnecessary, expensive treatments that your pet doesnt really need like other Vets have tried to do. Its definitely worth driving in from Temecula just to see them!

I had heard that Cardiff Animal Hospital had a change in ownership this past April, so I didn’t know what to expect during my first visit with the new doctor and staff, but I was pleasantly surprised! The new vet, Dr. Woods, was fantastic! She was very friendly, and took the time to really listen to my concerns. She was very thorough, and I appreciated that she explained everything so that I really understood her recommendations and plan. I could tell that she really cared about the well being of Lucy, and even though I couldn’t afford to do everything, she seemed to understand and never made me feel bad or guilty about it (as has happen with the previous vets I have taken my pets to). The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful, from the moment we walked in the door! They even called the next day to make sure that Lucy was doing better, and to ask if I had any questions. I wish I had met Dr. Woods many years ago with my last two dogs, but at least I know now that my dog Lucy is in good hands!

My cat has had bladder issues for a few years now and Ive been to 3 different vets to look at the problem. Im usually extremely hesitant to bring him because Ive had some very negative experiences with Vets in the past. Cardiff animal hospital is a breathe of fresh air. Located in our little surf town of Cardiff by the Sea, the energy of the people working here embodies the energy of the location. Friendly staffed, patient and smiling. Dr. Woods always greets you with a smile and (at least in my opinion) really cares for the animals that step through the doors and goes out of her way to make you and them feel comfortable. I was very concerned for my little guy, but being with the doc, plus follow up calls made me feel much more relaxed about the process and Im extremely grateful that clinic is right down the road from our house. Thanks for all you do for our family members!

Dr. Woods & her staff are the most caring & professional pet care providers weve dealt with. Our dog was diagnosed w/cancer, which entails a variety of treatments, yet we were not upsold on "extra" testing, care, etc. We were given options & we chose the "make comfortable" simple medications, no radiation nor chemo. Happily, as Dr. Woods thought, he is doing well for now. Dr. Woods & her staff Still call to check up on Chili a couple times a month...& its been 2 miss since we saw her last! We highly recommend Cardiff Animal Hospital & will bring any/all our pets there in the future.

Dr. Woods is one of the most sympathetic doctors of ANY specialty Ive ever met. She really cares about the well-being of your animals, and I know that very well now: Not only has she kept me informed and comfortable during my cats hospitalization, but shes stayed after hours doing tests with him, allowed me to visit him when I get nervous or sad, and she even offered her cell phone number to me in case anything were to happen at night when he was back home with me. I am so thankful to have this practice so close to my home!

I had a good experience at the Cardiff Animal Hospital last week. The vet, tech and receptionist couldnt have been more friendly and welcoming. At the end of our visit, I had a few questions about rattlesnake bites and Dr. Woods went into detail with me about the different options available for treatment and prevention. At our previous vet, I often felt coaxed into getting additional treatments for my dog, and this was not the case with Dr. Woods. I felt she gave me honest advice which I greatly appreciated.

Ive been a regular customer for 3 years but the two times my dog needed a same-day visit due to acute illnesses I was referred to emergency care or asked to wait three days. The first time this happened I waited, but the second time I switched vets. Their veterinary care is fine and the staff are nice, but their operating hours are too limited and they do not have much of a focus on customer service. All in all a big disappointment and a waste of three years of relationship building with my and my dog.

After visiting a terribly condescending veterinarian in San Francisco, it was a welcome change meeting Dr. Woods and her friendly team when I moved to Cardiff. The atmosphere still had the famously laid back Cardiff vibe but my cats examination was very thorough and professional. When I wasnt able to pick up my cat following his dental cleaning because of my work schedule, they offered to board him overnight at no cost. My cat and I will certainly continue to visit Cardiff Animal Hospital.
