I have been taking my English bulldog to TAH since she was a pup. Ive taken her to get spayed, for her rabies shot, etc. After her spaying I was told that she had some high levels of liver enzymes and that they were recommending further tests. After a few tests, it was found that she had a physical anomaly and that although it will not negatively affect her in the future, we now knew why her liver enzymes were so high. I have read some of the reviews saying that they push all kinds of tests and I disagree, I wasnt forced into scheduling further tests and it actually turned out to be of valuable knowledge when scheduling a future surgery. My dog had a cherry eye surgery done on both eyes and a palate reduction as well. Even though my dog had problems with the stitches in one eye, Dr. Al and Dr. Geraci were very attentive to her, called to follow up on her progress, had frequent check-ups for free, and made sure that her eyes were perfect. It was just what I expected and more because I didn’t have to push them to provide great service. Prices were reasonable, average for the most part (I did plenty of research). My dog’s cherry eyes were completely removed, her breathing is noticeably much better, I now know to give my dog liver supplements to prolong her health, the problem with the stitches was resolved, and my bullys eyes look great! It is also clear that she gets pampered every time I take her because she loves going there...theres been a few times when she doesnt want to leave =)

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this animal hospital. I have a thirteen year old cat and for the past few weeks he was defecating on my things or on the floor of room I was in, even though his litterbox was clean. He had behaved this way before 2 years ago when he fleas. This summer we were having difficulties controlling the fleas in the house, so I assumed this was way he was eliminating improperly. One day when I came home, I found him having diarrhea all over the house. I called this vet immediately and they were able to fit me in even though it was about 5 in the evening. After telling the doctor a brief history of my cat, he was able to quickly deduce that he had a uti, and medicated the cat with antibiotics accordingly. They quoted me before doing anything and were very fair in their pricing (I had previously been scammed by another vet in sd and paid over $300 for them to basically tell me he had fleas). In order to get a urine sample they gave him fluids, which they gave me free of charge. He is back to his normal self and Im incredibly relieved! I was impressed with how quickly and accuately they could diagnose him with a uti when I was only having problems with him pooping. I highly reccommend this vet!

"Turquoise was recommended to us by friends when we adopted a Great Dane puppy. We knew that Great Danes come with hereditary issues and wanted a high quality vet. Well... that is exactly what we got. Al Atkinson has been taking care of our dog for 4 months now and has continuously impressed us. Not only is his staff friendly but they go above and beyond what I expect of them. For example when I needed copies of my dogs medical records so I could send them into our insurance company, they faxed them in for us. I know thats a small thing but they didnt have to do that. Al always listens to what I have to say and explains my dogs issues to me in a way that I can understand but at the same time never sounds like he is talking down to me. When my dog had mites, he took the time to show me them under the microscope and explain what the real problem is. He also sent us articles that were related to our dog that he came across. Again I know these are small things but in the few months that I have been coming here, I have felt more and more welcome each time!"

Having to take your pet to the vet can sometimes be traumatic for all parties involved, animal and human. My kitty had lost a ton of weight and was diagnosed with lymphoma by the teams at Turquoise. They immediately recommended me to a specialist in Sorrento Valley where he was taken care of and went into remission. I had a happy ending, and it was in no small part of the care my kitty received at Turquoise. They knew that this affliction needed special treatment outside of their core-competencies, and I appreciate the footwork they did for me to ensure my kitty got the fastest treatment available. Top marks to Dr. G, he was very helpful and kind. The staff was amazing and sympathetic. I dont hesitate to recommend this team. They are amazing.

Dr. G is a fantastic vet!! He has helped my dog Maggie for over 6 years now. She has strange swollen lymph node episodes every year and he has figured out how to treat her. She has just been diagnosed with diabetes and he has been so supportive with emailing me, checking on her, answering all of my questions. Im blown away that he takes the time to check-in on Maggie. Hes really good with handling neurotic doggie mamas (myself :) which definitely helps me be more at ease as we learn to control the diabetes. I am so thankful for him & all the staff who are so welcoming every time we come in. Thank you all!!!

Usually I go to a vet down the street but they were booked when I needed to get my frenchie in right away, so I was told to go here. The doctor was very nice and so helpful, gave my puppy antibiotics and she was better just days later. He also suggested a new food to give her because I told him she was not eating very much and was gassy. I forgot what the food was, and weeks later I called and he remembered me, and told me what to give her. It is a world of a difference in the new food, and she eats regularly and no more farts :) I plan on using this vet from now on, highly recommend!

The staff at Turquoise Animal Hospital is really nice and theyve been our vet since my dog was adopted as a puppy, but our dogs been struggling with an ear infection that weve had to keep coming back for. Weve yet to get to the root of the problem for his ear infection and will be returning soon, but the fees paid at each appointment can get pretty high. Two treatments of Osurnia (the ear ointment our dog was given) retails for $29 online, but we were charged close to $300 for two visits in which they administered it to our dogs ear.

We feel so lucky to have Turquoise close by. Our dog is our fur child and I trust their integrity, expertise and care of her w/ complete confidence. Theyve taken care of everything from doggie allergies, to teeth cleaning, care for when she had pancreatitis and joint issues. Been going here since I moved actually - about 6 years and counting. Always satisfied w/ her care, their recommendations, the pricing, the attention they give my pup & myself and how they check up on her days later. Highly recommend for pet fams!
