NOT WHO HE CLAIMS TO BE My mother had been seeing Dr. Peter Linh Nguyen for several years when her pulmonologist Dr. Emiro Burbano detected a spot in her lung back in 2007. Dr. Burbano requested that Dr. Nguyen send my mother to a specialist to have further studies conducted to determine what the spot was. Instead of referring my mother to a specialist, Dr. Peter Linh Nguyen assured her that the spot was harmless and my mother trusted in his judgment. She had always trusted in her doctors. Four years later, the spot had grown to stage four metastatic cancer. By this time, it had also spread to her brain. My mother confronted Dr. Peter Linh Nguyen about his failure to respond four years earlier as detection then could have prevented the growth and spread of her cancer. He apologized to her but did nothing from this point on to help her manage her symptoms. The following two-and a-half years were a harrowing experience for my mother. She began radiation therapy for her brain tumors. This was followed by chemotherapy pills. The side effects included losing her hair, growing painful blisters in her mouth and her face. Her nails began to fall off and a downward spiral of weight loss and the eventual loss of the control of her lower jaw and tongue began. I took her to the emergency room twice because her nausea became so bad that she felt that she would die. For a moment in 2012 she appeared to be going into remission and we were all hopeful. Then the cancer began to grow again and she began the chemotherapy injection. Throughout, neither Dr. Peter Linh Nguyen nor his office staff ever provided any support or even so much as called to find out how she was carrying on and managing her disease. She would rarely have an appetite and her weight and muscle loss became especially noticeable in the spring of 2013 and by the summer she began having dizzy spells that caused her to fall. My mother never gave up on life and always had hope and faith. She tried her best to carry on with her life as normal. She decided to see Dr. Sergio Court in the summer of 2013, who prescribed her appetite pills. She was so happy that her appetite was back, though her ability to chew continued to decline, and we were all surprised that Dr. Peter Linh Nguyen hadn’t prescribed her these pills when he first found out about her appetite loss a year earlier. By this time, my mother had lost faith in Dr. Nguyen and we had decided that she would no longer see him. In March 2014, my mother lost her fight against cancer. I can’t help but wonder every day what her life would have been like if Dr. Peter Linh Nguyen would have responded in a timely fashion to my mother’s pulmonologist’s request for further studies. My mother was a fighter and Dr. Nguyen basically stole from my mother a fighting chance to beat her cancer, allowing a once vibrant woman to deteriorate and waste away. On his website, Dr. Peter Linh Nguyen claims to “promote disease prevention” but his actions clearly do not support this statement. He needs to either take on a partner to help him with his heavy patient case load or to stop taking on new patients. His patients need to know that Dr. Peter Linh Nguyen does not for whatever reason always follow up on specialist recommendations and they would perhaps be better suited to find a doctor who takes the time to address issues that can be potentially harmful to them. I would hate for any trusting individuals to meet a fate similar to my mother’s under Dr. Peter Linh Nguyen’s care, and I only wish I had had the strength and courage to have written this review sooner. For this, I apologize.

Stay away. Where do I even start. My wife went for a checkup and he insisted she get a flu shot. Shes 45 years old and in good health. If you dont know already, doctors get paid by the pharmaceutical companies for each flu shot they give you. Now on to me. Im more into holistic health. I wanted to just get blood work. He again asked me if I have had a flu shot. I told him no. He said "well Im going to give you one". Really? I havent been sick if 5 years. I juice every day and my immune system is amazing. In 5 years I think I felt something coming on and I was rid of it the next day and this joker wanted to give me a shot? He didnt even ask how many times a year I get sick. Or if a catch anything easy. Just... Im going to give you a shot. When I went back for my results he, he told me he rarely sees anyone with blood results as good as mine. Then he wanted to give me a tetanus shot... OMG Really? I also wanted to get some specific tests done. He asked me why I wanted them. I told him the reasons and he kind of was surprised that I knew what I was talking about. He is the reason I dont like doctors. Hes in it for the money. Just go any day of the week and see how many people he packs in the waiting room. The more people in that waiting room means less time he has to spend with you. Look for a doctor that will give you up to 30 minutes of his/her time. A doctor visit shouldnt be an in and out kind of thing. Needless to say I never went back. My wife went back a few times till she had another bad experience with him. Dont say I didnt tell you.

I have been seeing Dr. Nguyen for over three years now and have had a great experience every time I visit his office. He is professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and always inquires as to my health when I see him. He also knows my medical history and follows up on any outstanding issues I may have. He also has a great staff that is always friendly and professional and they go out of their way to make me feel at home and welcome when I come into the office. I would highly recommend Dr. Nguyen!

DONT EVER CHOOSE THIS BAD DR. The receptionist is also really badddddddd. They told me to call me back for scheduling but never call back. I kept calling back and they made excuses then promised to call me, but NEVER. They DONT CARE about their patients. I regret that I chose him to do the surgery for me and I had to choose another Dr after he made me wait for couple months. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO CALL YOU PETER. YOU CANNOT BE A Dr.
