I found Dr. Belen through his fantastic Groupon deal where I got x-rays, pictures, cleaning and bleaching for $135. Not only was it a great deal but I found the experience at the office to be as good as a dental experience can get. The staff ensured that I was comfortable and that all of my needs were met. The office itself is very nice and extremely up to date. All of the staff was personable and kind. Dr. Belen has a great sense of humor and fantastic "chair-side" manner. He was kind and respectful of the tight budget we are on due to the current lame economy as well. He did not pressure me to have more work done right now than I could afford but gave me the best steps to take to prevent any of my current dental issues from becoming worse in the mean time. When it came time for having my cavities filled Dr. Belen was thorough, thoughtful and respected my needs and desires (I gag easily and also like getting updates now and then to know how much longer we have to go at somewhat regular intervals). They made sure to numb me well enough that I experienced no pain or discomfort and they gave me Ibuprofen ahead of time to help with the discomfort that generally follows the procedure. We live in Hayward but I plan to make the drive to San Mateo for my regular dental visits because a good dentist is hard to find and the comfortable atmosphere and kind care of the staff and hygienist is worth the drive.

This is the best dentist my husband and I have ever been to- I cant give enough positive feedback about Glen Belen and his team. The stigma about going to the dentist and having a less-than-pleasant experience has been removed since we started going to San Mateo Dental Care. Not only is the staff friendly and helpful and the office clean and professional looking- but the experience of getting teeth cleaned, invisalign trays adjusted, or cavities filled is quick, painless, and effective. Dr Belen and Dr Vasco are incredibly friendly, upbeat, and professional dentists who care about their patients and followup after services are rendered. I would recommend this office to ANYONE in the Bay Area seeking dental attention :-)

I just started going to see Dr. Belen as a new patient with a lot of dental work to get done! Entire staff is extremely helpful, sweet, and friendly. One of the doctors even provided me with her iPod to listen to while getting anesthesia. Dr. Belen and his staff are extremely THOROUGH.. that is probably the thing I liked the best. They explained important things to me that previous dentists had only touched on--things that I absolutely need to know for my health. These are simply amazing caring people and I hope to come back even though I am moving to San Diego! However, they provided me with all kinds of contacts that I will need in San Diego for the continuation of my dental work. I cannot thank them more!

Ive been coming to Dr. Belens office for my dental care for 2 years. Hes always very informative about my care and has a great sense of humor. His office staff is very caring and makes you feel very comfortable. For someone who is quite frightened by dental work (drill), he has different options to make you feel at ease. Ive always had good experiences here and Id highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist in the San Mateo area!! Thanks Dr. Belen!

Me and my friend are travelers from austria and one of us actually needed a root canal, but we were a little bit overwhelmbed by the insurance system in america. So the doctor and his assistent Christy really figured something out for us and really cared about us. We felt really comfortable and after some calls and considering, we made the right decision and got a really good treatment.

Ive been seeing Dr. Belen for dentistry for the past several years. He is competent and enthusiastic. Both he and his staff are very thorough in their examinations, and I feel that I am well taken care of. The work I receive is preventative, and I trust that my teeth will remain healthy and strong with the care I am receiving at Mission Dental.
