I typically do not write reviews, but this one I MUST. I would like to start by saying this review is only intended for Lupe (Office Manager) and not the nurses or Dr. Dingilian. I had a situation where The office mailed me a receipt for my OB payment to my residence. It was in violation of the Civil Code 1747.9, which in a nutshell is where they are only suppose to print the last 5 digits of your Credit Card and XX/XX the expiration date as well. I received my receipt in the mail in a taped envelope, not sealed with not only, 2 receipts with all my information on the Credit Card printed out, but it also had my pin number fully printed on the paperwork I received. So, I though for sure they would understand when I called concerned about my identity being protected. Lupe, answered my call who then was not only rude, but denied there was such a law to protect my identity. When I asked her to have Dr. Dingilian contact me, she never gave him the message. I asked her on a friday and when I saw my doctor on that Friday, he himself said, she NEVER gave him the message and apoligized. LUPE, never apoligized and continues to be of no help and RUDE!!!!! Hope this helps others to be on guard and protect themselves as it is clear this office(Lupe) has no interest in protecting patients identity. Here is the full Civil Code that was violated: 1747.9. (a) Except as provided in this section, no person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, or limited liability company that accepts credit cards for the transaction of business shall print more than the last five digits of the credit card account number or the expiration date upon any receipt provided to the cardholder. (b) This section shall apply only to receipts that are electronically printed and shall not apply to transactions in which the sole means of recording the persons credit card number is by handwriting or by an imprint or copy of the credit card. (c) This section shall become operative on January 1, 2004, with respect to any cash register or other machine or device that electronically prints receipts for credit card transactions that is in use before January 1, 2001. (d) This section shall become operative on January 1, 2001, with respect to any cash register or other machine or device that electronically prints receipts for credit card transactions that is first put into use on or after January 1, 2001.
