After dealing w/ Kaiser for many years (not successfully) to get appropriate glasses, a friend referred me to Dr. Folker. He really took his time with the exam to make sure he had a good measurement to base recommendations on. I am a worst nightmare of a patient, 20/15 uncorrected until 10 years ago, and farsighted, so I want perfect vision (and resent having to wear glasses). He discussed pros and cons, why my Kaiser corrections werent working, gave me a prescription that works very well for me. And really took the time to explain what was going on with my vision.

His manner was extremely pleasant and down to earth. I was nervous because this will be my first pair of glasses. But he helped me feel relaxed about it and explained very clearly what was going on with my eyes. This is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor.

Dr Folkers is brilliant. His staff is wonderful. He guided me through PRK vision correction surgery with monovision. Though its taken longer to heal and adjust than I expected, Im so glad I did.
