I initially was very hopeful, as the agency franchise owner was very pleasant and reassuring. However, it turned quickly into a very stressful and frustrating experience because the caregivers could not do the simple but essential task of monitoring, reminding, and recording my mothers very important medication. The caregivers record-keeping was sloppy at best, and typically non-existent. We went through several caregivers, some of whom did nothing unless asked even though we had clearly asked the agency for light housekeeping such as cleaning bathrooms, changing linens, sweeping floors,emptying the garbage,etc. To their credit, all the caregivers were kind, and some were more helpful than others. We had to make frequent phone calls to request yet again that the medications be monitored and recorded, but there was no follow-through. Most of the office staff was very pleasant, however one person in particular was very disagreeable and unreceptive to our concerns. We gave this agency a lot of chances to respond to our concerns, which they acknowledged as reasonable. We were disappointed to finally have to cancel their services.

It has been a pleasure to have dealt with Home Instead over the past 5 years. Home Instead arranged for Lilly to come rwice a week. Lilly was professional, RELIABLE and courteous. Over the years Lilly did become a true friend of the family. As my mothers Alzheimers progressed I added several other caregivers. Each one of these fine ladies also exemplified the quality that Home Instead is dedicated to. Id like to add that I do own my own growing business and in every instance I was provided with outstanding co-operation with Arlene and Ilona who more than once accommodated last minute schedule changes and arranged additional care for Mom. Mom has moved to a full time assisted living facility and it feels as if Ive lost part of an incredible support system now that I no longer require Home Insteads assistance. Anyone who is looking for excellent care for their loved one and/or family member should not hesitate to use Home Instead Senior Care of Torrance California! My Auntie was a patient for about a year recently and was expertly looked after. The detail to personal care and attention was so appreciated. The caregivers and the office staff from the Torrance office treated my Auntie with respect and care. It was obvious to us, that they were truly devoted to their jobs! Ilona and Arlene are wonderful and we would not hesitate to contact them again if the need arises. You would be hard pressed to find another facility that has a staff who truly cares about their patients. This review written by Jean and Charlotte.

We tried this agency, but they were not very reliable, and they sent different people out all the time. My mother was not happy so we had to switch to another company, who is doing a much better job.
