Dr. Powell is the BEST of the best. Ive had quite a bit of dental problems and have been to many dentists. Im deathly afraid of going to the dentist... that is, until I met Dr. Powell. She is so gentle and upfront about everything she is going to be doing, that it made me feel comfortable for the first time in my life at a dentist office. I even drive 3 hours just to see her. I NEVER thought Id find a dentist that could keep me calm during a visit. If youre anxious when it comes to the dentist and want someone that understands your anxiety, then Dr. Powell is the dentist for you!! She really cares about her patients and wont do anything to you that hasnt been discussed first. I had a dentist where I live tell me that I needed not 1 but 2 root canals and so I went to Dr. Powell for a 2nd opinion and she was able to avoid both of those root canals. Like I said, she wont do anything that is unnecessary and she certainly isnt one of those dentists that are just out to make as much money as they can. I trust her so much that I took my only son to her for his 1st dental exam. She really is the best of the best. And the whole office staff is so welcoming and friendly. I give Dr. Powell and her entire staff an A+++. Thank you ladies for always taking care of me!!

Virginia Powell is an extraordinarily skillful technical dentist. Her work is absolutely top-shelf. But what is truly exceptional about her practice is her caring and considerate manner that puts patients at ease and allows them to make considered judgements about care. She is especially gifted as a childs dentist--sensitive and caring, authoritative when she needs to be. It is no accident that she is the dentist of choice for parents choosing for their children. In my case, Virginia was faced with a senior with all his original teeth, but most of them with fillings that were failing, tooth walls that were cracking, and gums that were receding. I never knew that seniors could benefit from fluoride treatment. I learned to floss more regularly under her care. And believe it or not, at age 70 I still have every one of my original chompers--much repaired & crowned as they are. I have been lucky in my life to have had great care from a series of dentists, beginning with Dr. Belen, in Dearborn Michigan who did not believe in anesthesia and sometimes pulled teeth with his fingers. Dr. Powell is at the very head of that list. Virginia is also probably 1 of the top 5 people you will meet in your life. Good luck!

This was the worst dental experience I have ever had. I was a new client. No introduction. Demanded I have full mouth xrays or would not look in my mouth. I came for a consultation of my mouth and teeth.. would not look at the right side of my mouth if I didnt have xrays. Rude, Blackmails you into having xrays, did not do a full analysis even tho I PAID FOR A FULL EXAM. Rude rude rude. Her staff was nice however. I would NOT recommend her OR go back to see her. Do yourself a favor and skip this one woman small town operation. Oh and her loss as I was going to have much dental work done. So much for bedside manner Dr. Powell!!

I had a tooth that was hurting when I chewed. Dr Powell fixed it quickly with no problems. The staff was great to deal with. I like everyone there. Dr Powell is an excellent dentist. She cares about the health of all her patients, provides the highest quality service and manages a GREAT staff. She is a first class choice for dental care in Mendocino county.

Im at times a little dentist wary, but Dr. Powells made me feel right at home! I loved the service, everyone was friendly, and they have a wide range of extra amenities for comfort. I felt like they really cared.
