Think a little. What was the last really beautiful thing you did? Was it a memorable trip to the mountains? Perhaps you enjoyed a great day out at the beach. Or maybe you went to a museum or an art gallery and enjoyed some really beautiful or striking artwork? People talk about their favorite sensory organs. People say that they have a favorite, which does a lot for them. Some people are moved by music. Don’t get me wrong. I love music too. But far and away my favorite sensory organs are my eyes. If they ceased functioning, no matter how much beautiful music there would be, I cannot imagine being blind! I cannot imagine having all of those wonderful experiences which I have yet to l live through, taken away from me. Almost all the really fun things in life involve what today’s young people call “eye candy!” And they are not kidding! Remember that wonderful movie you went to see? What about the art show on bright sunny days in front of the water in Santa Barbara? Or, talking of Santa Barbara, what about the Santa Barbara Zoo? Did you enjoy your visit there? What about that beautiful tree side lit in golden orange at sunset? Talking of which, I never thought that there could be so many sunsets, all different and all beautiful…! And then there’s the mountains, all covered in snow. Where would you be if you couldn’t see that? On a purely materialistic note, I would have a hard time using my laptop without vision, although I do know it is possible. Scientists are working on a project where computers are controlled directly by the human brain. But that takes away the individual ability to create your own computer with your own particular screensaver and desktop… Think of all the visual things you do, like learning and communicating with your friends… These are all possible with sight. The list is endless. I could go on for pages about the wonderful things I have enjoyed by using my eyesight. It is for this reason that I value the care I get from Ann Kim OD, at Advanced Vision Care of Santa Clarita, CA. I have known Ann for a number of years now, and I am grateful to have her take care of my eyes and glasses, in fact, my optometry prescription. At first glance, Ann’s unassuming personality would probably belie the fact that she is an experienced professional with a passion for getting it right! However, don’t let this fool you! After a battery of tests, all of which are painless and administered with comfort and speed in mind, she makes a regarded judgment, and can even interpret a picture of the retina, taken with a special camera after she dilates your eyes. I was impressed with the speed with which she created a prescription and ordered up corrective lenses, which are not only comfortable but which take care of nearly every circumstance. They help me with long distance, short distance viewing. I can drive with them. They go dark when the sun gets bright. They even help the glare from other car’s headlights. Most of all, they look youthful and well-designed when I am wearing them. Thanks for that, Ann! I am indeed grateful for getting the best eye care from Ann Kim and her professional team in Valencia. People take so much for granted these days. It is always so nice to know that there are some things you can still rely on…

I have been going to Dr Kim for several years now, She is so friendly and down to earth while being an awesome skilled eye doctor. The retinal scan is well worth getting and with the state of the art equipment, she can show you a large picture of your inner eye and explain what exactly is going on with degenerative changes and how best to treat or slow the progression. Her advice has been spot on and on par with the eye specialists I have been seeing. They compliment each other well in helping to look after my eyes. I like the broad selection of quality frames they have and am looking forward to getting my first pair of glasses from her directly. I had a years break from VSP and am finally away from having to get contacts due to their strange policy.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Ann Kim for the last 10 years while she was working for Valencia LensCrafter. I finally found her through my Insurance Provider Lists across the new LA Fitness parking lots. I and my family gets the best prescription with Dr. Kim, besides that her office has followings. 1. State of Art equipments: Auto-reflector (I could see few split images for me to compare during eye exams) and some other to see through my eyes w/o invasive procedures, etc.. 2. Friendly Staffs who knows what they are doing. I didnt feel lugged around from room to room to see a doc for 10 min. 3. They have a nice office with many different frames and lenses. I am glad that I get to find my doc for my family.

Dr Kim and her staff are outstanding, you feel comfortable, and you get the correct answers on how to take care of your eyes now and for the future.
