Dont go! Liar, cheat, terrible patient right & courtesy. I gave them lots of calls & lots of chances to resolve but they just want your money. When I made my appointment for Refraction they asked me if Im new patient which I said "YES". They never mentioned anything about the policy of "Mandatory comprehensive exam" for new patients. Once I got time off and drove all the way to my appointment they said that I have to do the mandatory eye exam!!! They asked for my insurance card which I provided them but told them my insurance does not cover & Im cash patient. The girl said we check just in case. She called the insurance and notified me that they wont cover and I have a high deductible to which I replied "I told you so....Im a cash patient". Dr Hanh Le was great. On the way out they asked for full payment and they charged my credit card. Later they sent me bill after bill for a bogus amount. I called so many times and explained (to Mikki/ billing dept) the forced eye exam (when at the time of making the appointment I told them Im new patient & yet they did not told me they wont do just refraction for new patients), the full payment of charges on my credit card, the fact that they should have not billed my insurance since they knew it wont cover. She did not adjust and kept repeating during our various phone calls that it is my responsibility to pay! Obviously I did not want my credit to get ruined so they ripped me off. Later when I checked on line, there was an identical review from another patient! Expensive, dishonest, unprofessional, I guess their common practice ...., but no complaints with the Dr.

They are very thorough doctors. Dr. V diagnosed me with Narrow Angle Glaucoma which had been missed by my previous eye doctors as no one had ever bothered to check for it. I got a second opinion at UCLA just to make sure and went back to have my laser done with them. I thoroughly trust the doctors. The wait can be hit or miss but thats because they are very thorough and dont miss anything. Dr. V saved my eyes. I am forever grateful and will continue to highly recommend them to all my friends.

The price stated by the previous reviewer just doesnt make sense. If you dont have insurance and are paying cash, you get quoted a fair price (including a 20% discount) up front and it is very competitive with any other ophthalmology practice in town. A detailed comprehensive visit for glaucoma for example will cost less than half of what the reviewer states. She must have needed some specialized services. Call the office directly for price quotes if you have concerns.
