Please read my review before you think about putting your pet down at animal urgent care. This is the first time I used this clinic. I have a terrific vet and my dog has always and I mean always had the best care at his regular vetenerian office. This time my dog became very ill I was advised to bring him here so I did on Saturday the 5th he had a high fever they drew labs and made the decision to hospitalize him. They gave him fluid and antibiotics the next day on Sunday they said he was doing better responding to treatment but they wanted to keep him another day since he wasnt eating which wasnt uncommon they told me. On Monday the 7th they said he was better walking around and drinking water but still not eating again they said it wasnt uncommon. I came to pick him up on Monday the 7th he couldnt stand he just laid there very weak. Their assessment of my dog led me to believe he was ok and was ready to come home. My dog was failing to thrive I saw how this illness had taken him down and fast. They still said I could take him home. His labs were still bad. I couldnt take him like this so we had to make the decision to let him go. I called my family to come down to say our goodbyes. I arrived at 10am other family throughout the day we stayed in a private room loving, hugging and saying goodbye to our beloved dog. The male tech kept coming in the room asking us what we were going to do rushing us along. He knew we had already made the decision to let go but he acted as if we were taking up his time and we felt rushed. When the doctor came in to administer his final medication she was very comforting. But the techs that work there do not have the same compassion its just a job for them. They in no way were comforting just all business. I asked the male tech for locks of my dogs hair as a memento and to place his religious medal he always wore around his collar on top of his ashes. When I was called a few days later to pick up his ashes I was given my dogs locks of hair he had beautiful white hair they had taken his hair from under his body which was long and dirty from walking in the park. This is what I was hand dirty hair they didnt even take it from him back. I was also told that the medal I asked them to place on top of his ashes was cremated with him. We asked for paw prints in clay we were handed them wet they werent even dry they came out terrible. I was mortified. The male tech was in such a hurry to get us out of there he wasnt even listening to what we asked for. Now you must understand Our beloved dog of 21 years was part of our family and loved so much taken care of to live that long so to be treated like garbage deeply hurt. We had already suffered the pain of losing him now to find our pet had been treated like this was so unnecessarily and all I got was well the manager will call you. Please think about this before your euthanize your pet here. And incidentally the bill in the end was well over $2000 to be told your dog is doing better you can take him home he never made it home he passed there on the 7th. Makes you wonder how much care they gave my 21 year old dog. I know he was old but no one deserves to be treated disrespectful because of age.

I LOVE these Drs and their staff..WE have had two emergencies with our fur babies, and we lost one of them..we lost all our composure right there. They let us sit in a back room with our baby for about an hr or so until we could get composed enough to drive home..that was 2 yrs ago on New Years Eve and our furbaby got the best of care, but passed on the next morning just as we got there... Tonight, April 2016, I had to take in our 2 yr old furbaby..HE is going to be OK, but the staff was Excellant, Kind, Compassionate, and Dr. Jen came out and kept me posted on his condition what tests he needed and what surgery was needed..He got the best possible care and Kasey the vet tech is staying up all night with him..she is loving on him, as he has never been away from us or his brother..I am confident he is in the best of hands. I would Recommend this Vet Hospital to anyone..Your pet will be taken care of the best..and I cant say that about some Clinics...My hsb and I are very happy with these Dr.s, their knowledge, their skill, and also that of their staff...amazing bedside manner and so, so, kind. PS. I want to add that while I was there at 1 am, 2 families came out of the rooms crying because they lost their beloved dogs..I cried with them, but I watched how the staff treated them, and it was with the utmost kindness, caring and compassion that you can give someone in their time of grief. I read that someone else said they were rushed along as their pet died..We were not..My hsb reminded me as I had already posted this, that we were in the back room with our beloved Moggi, for over 2 hrs, in a room that was more like home, in a very loving environment, holding him after he has passed. We were so heartbroken and bawling, that it would have been embarassing to other people, that didnt understand how people can love their pets like their children. NO other Vet Clinic has done that for us in the 30 yrs I have been a pet parent. Many Vets could take lessons from this staff. Dr. Steve ckd on us as did another vet that was coming on duty, as well as the staff..just wanted to add that we will always use them in a Emergency situation when our Vet is not open 24 hrs..THANK YOU AUC...your AWESOME and YOU ROCK! We will pick Porter up later on this am, and take him to his regular vet. Dr. Jen said that if they cant keep him another night, they will..NOW, that is great service!!! The wooden box they use for cremains of our pet is Beautiful and we will use them again when it comes time for our 17 year old kitty..

Yesterday we had to bring in our beloved yorkie-poo Ozzy because he hadnt eaten in almost 48 hours and he just didnt seem himself. We were recommended to Animal Urgent Care by our regular vet Planned Pethood Plus. We were extremely satisfied with the service we received. Everyone from check in staff to the 2 Doctors who helped were AMAZING. We hoped it was also a regular vet office and switching over to them. Thats how impressed we were. We have used another pet urgent care and once waited almost 6 hours just to see the doctor and our puppy was eventually diagnosed with Parvo. But we waited that long just to see the doc and another half hour just waiting for the instant swab results. Here we were in, out and treated in under 2 hours!! Impressed! Dr. German was great with our Ozzy and was very compassionate and explained everything in detail. Another Doctor was helping out as well and I didnt get her name but she was just as great. We felt in great hands and trusted them with our baby. Hes on the road to getting better from a stomach bug with all the info and care they gave us. Hopefully we dont need to be in an urgent issue anytime soon but if need be, we will be back. Thank you Animal Urgent Care!!!
