Our dog, a rescue we picked up at animal control, developed a bacterial infection that lead to anemia and liver damage. He was only three months old and already infected when we got him and no one knew until he started to swell around his stomach. It turned out to be an obscure disease that two other animal clinics had never heard of. Dr. Gearhart himself was only vaguely familiar with it, but did the research, had the results confirmed through another hospital, and began treatment on what should have been a terminal illness. They kept him for a week at reduced cost because of the extensive treatment required, and was very willing to make payment arrangements for follow-on visits. I would like to commend Dr. Gearhart and his team for taking on this challenge and going out of their way to see it though. They acted as if we and our dog were family, and five months later, the dog still gets exited when he sees the staff.

Way over priced. Friendly staff but i called ahead to get an estimate of everything and when everything was said and done they charged me wayyyy more than the quoted price. I went to the office with a little more just in case and that was still not enough. I dont like the fact i was misguided. I knew my dog had tapeworms and all they did was look at his teeth and ears and gave me the medication going off of me telling them what he had. The medication they gave me was extremely over priced. I know this because i did research on the exact brand and dosage given. And afterwards they tried to upsell me another hundred dollars to run a heartworms test when I had already told them my dog takes medication for it already. Im very displeased with them and will never ever go back.

I truly wish there a positive comment that we could make about this clinic, but sadly there is not. First of all, let me say this clinic is one of the most expensive clinics in this area. The owner of this clinic is clearly avaricious and does not have any interest in truly helping your pet. His greed is very transparent. In the entire time that we took our pet, not one single time did he offer to do anything that would require any effort outside of his comfort zone. He was glad to always take our money of course. He is limited in his knowledge of complex cases, but wont bother to make a phone call to other doctors/specialists about what can be done to help your pet. His response is simply, "I dont know."

I know Im not the only person to have had a dog that means the world to me & have Shania die at a young age. I would like everyone to know how the adobe animal hospital went above and beyond what anyone else probably would have done. Dr Meyer spent several extra hours researching & contacted a specialist on liver diseases. They told him there was no hope for Shania & she should be put down. He convinced them we wanted to try whatever we could for Shania & because of that we had her for about 3 & 1/2 more months. Thank you for everything Bob & Jeanne Tuttle

I recently had my best friend Pebbles of 11 years put down after battling cancer and other illness, it was an extremely difficult decision for me to make, I had a lot of guilt and heartache making that difficult decision. But the staff and the Veterinarian put me at ease and said the words that I needed to let go of my fury family member. They are very emphatic, and very professional. I have been a client of Adobe Animal Hospital for over twenty years,during which time I have relied on this facility for all my veterinary needs. My experience with them has always been positive, The highly experienced team led by Dr Jim Gearhart has always provided a sensitive,professional,and efficient service. From the office staff to the veterinary assistants to the Doctors themselves one could not ask for a better outcome. Highly recommended to anyone seeking quality care for their pets.

I took my litter of doberman pinschers here to get their tails docked and dew claws removed and they butchered them up nasty. they have huge scars on their paws and their tails look like badly stuffed long burritos. I told them to dock them at the 2nd joint and they completely ignored my request and did 2 at the second joint and 5 at the third one. they all have a weird round scar at the end that i know they shouldnt have. Will NEVER go there again.

Ive been taking my furry children to Adobe Animal Clinic since late 2012, and they are one of the best Veternary Clinics Ive ever used. My furry babies go there regularly for shots and check-ups. They are amazing! They offer military discounts too and that means alot that they want to give back to those of us who serve. If you love your furr-ever friends and care about their health...take them to the Adobe Animal Clininc here in El Paso!

i have 3 dogs. all were to be boarded and given their annual vaccines. however, only one of them got his vaccines and the others were left over due until their next visit. i was under the impression they all got their shots. clinic is unorganized and inefficient. they seem to be more worried about getting paid then whether or not they did the job right. nevermind the kennels for boarding were incredibly hot and smelt AWFUL

Dr. Gearhart and staff went over and beyond my expectations. When we thought all hope was lost, Dr Gearhart saved our Grimys life. I would never think about going anywhere else. Dr Gearhart and staff care about their fury patients like of their own. While waiting in their lobby, you can see that it is genuine... They know out pets by name. I cant say it enough THANK YOU THANK YOU

Dr. Jim Gearhart is the best vet in the El Paso area. Weve lived all over the country and Adobe Animal Hospital is the best veterinary clinic weve found. They truly care about the animals. Hard working people. Everyone is nice and friendly. Plus, its rare to find somone who will make house calls. Highly recommend.
