They offer cheap vet visits which can be beneficial for college students like myself trying to save a little money, however, any extended care for cats should not be considered here and here is why. My cat developed carboxylate stones which caused her to have painful and bloody urination. This condition has to be solved surgically via an invasive procedure where her abdomen was shaved and a surgical incision was made to enter the bladder and remove the stones. Before the surgery I asked if I should bring any items to make her mandatory overnight stay more comfortable, like her favorite blanket. I was told not to worry about it because they would provide her with a blanket and it would just get blood and other fluids on it. I informed the nurse that I dont care if the blanket gets ruined as long as my cat was comfortable. She assured me that my cat would be well cared for and blankets would be provided for her to lay on. After worrying for two days and one night, i was finally able to go pick her up in the late afternoon. The blonde haired younger man asked me to come get her from the back myself because she was really upset with them. So he escorted me through a door to a back room where there were maybe six or eight large metal crates stacked so that four were on the ground right next to each other and another four were stacked right on top of those so that two kennel/crates were stacked on top of one another next to two more. My poor cat was shoved way into the back of one of the large metal crates lying in a littler box with litter in it. There were no blankets and her fresh cut on her stomach was just lying in the cat litter. To make it worse, if she had wanted to move at all, she couldnt have because her little legs would have slipped through the large gaps in the metal cage. And now for the REAL HORRIFYING part, the cage in which she was placed was stacked on top of another one which had a large very active german sheppard in it. Next to the german sheppard was a lab-pit mix and on top of him was a large golden lab. All three were barking extremely loud and rattling the cages. And my poor cat was shoved into a dark corner placed on top of cat litter inside a litter box and had to endure all of this trauma for an entire night and day. She had never encountered a dog, she had just had invasive surgery, she was confused and recovering and they TOOK NO CONSIDERATIONS as to keeping her comfortable. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE THEY TREATED A CAT LIKE THIS. I truly believe the blonde man working there has a sadistic intent towards cats and enjoyed torturing my poor cat like this. I was outraged and wish I had spoken my mind but I was too infuriated to respond appropriately I think if I had reacted I would have thrown the nearest things I could grab at these people. It still breaks my heart when I think of that terrible day and how truly horrifying this must have all been for my cat. They ensured me she would be kept comfortable and she was not. I also had to come back to ask for pain killers because they did not provide me with any when I left. Usually it is common procedure to give the pet owner some pain medication for their pets recovery. I absolutely hate this place for what they put my poor angle through. Another minor concern, when the thermometer was used to take my cats temperature, it was not sterilized before use. I dont know if they sterilized it before they brought me into the room for the vet or not, but I would like to have seen it sterilized in front of me because I also observed that they did not sterilize the thermometer after they used it in my cats anus. There was one nice veterinarian who does not really work there anymore any ways. Please do not bring your cats here, find a place that is more caring towards cats.

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! Checked in my cat overnight over the weekend. Was told all she had was elevated levels due to,dehydration. Ive repeatedly called and was told she was getting better and would be released soon once she started eating. I was given the date of Tuesday morning for her release but instead was told she has passed away. No one knows what happened and all I was told by the vet was "we should have know that could have happened since she was being kept". This hospital does NOT care for your pets only cares about the money they receive. If your animal needs a vet please find someone else!

first of all this place is the cheapest in town (i did my price comparisons neuters/spays and shots are more expensive at the other clinics in town). everyone is very friendly. I have 1 adult male cats and 2 6 month old females so i dont have a lot of time to bring them in individually, luckily they have no problem letting me bring all three in at once for their checkups and shots. We usually get Dr Marrow, and hes great with my cats. thank goodness for the reminders they send in the mail for when my adult cats vaccinations have to be renewed, i would completely forget otherwise.

Dr. Walley has been absolutely amazing taking care of my dogs. She is very professional with her procedural care of the animals, and while consulting customers. She takes a very personal interest into the well-being of all the furry creatures, that come through the doors of the clinic. She takes a very proactive approach to the health of the pets, reminding owners to keep up with their diets, exercise, play, training, vaccinations, and vigilance of health concerns. I would highly recommend her services to anyone, who wants their pets to be happy and healthy.

They are not rude, but felt that they honestly did not care for my animal, my puppy was dying and had came in from Las Cruces Animal Emergency, where in less than 30 mins they got her to walk, but were closing so they told me to go here. I was the first one there, and i had to wait, until the dogs that had surgeries went in first. Those dogs had surgeries to get done but they were NOT dying, and my puppy was! They gave NO reasonable explanation as to why she died, oh but did charge for the little they did! Very disappointed.

We have been taking our dogs to the Animal Hospital of Las Cruces for over 20 years. They have been there on our best days of getting a new puppy to having to say good bye to older dogs. They have been the best communicators and comforters in the world. They have cried with us and laughed with us. They take the time to talk to you and help you understand your pets. Thank you doctors and staff for being and helping us through some pretty tough days. You are the best.

The Animal Hospital of Las Cruces has friendly, caring and very thorough staff. The vets and vet techs are all great with my animals and offered me great advice during my puppy exam and also while treating my elderly cat. The prices are reasonable and my dog received great care when he was neutered. This is the only place in Las Cruces I will take my animals!
