Dr. G (Gennadii Tchepelevitch, DVM) is absolutely terrific! Unlike the last vet I was with (who, to be fair, is quite good--if you can afford it), I never had to ask the question, nor face the dilemma of my dogs illness (and all that goes with it--vomiting, incontinence, and possibly death) due to my lack of immediate funds. At one point with the previous vet, I actually had to ask the receptionist: "So, because I dont have cash right now, my dog is denied attention and could die?" Their answer was—well, yes. Conversely, Dr. G said: "Here, the animals health is whats most important. Please pay when you can, come on in." Wow! This guy is dedicated to animal health, as well as understanding human fiscal conditions! He took care of my beloved companion that day, did follow ups to be sure, returned my calls, and, his prices are much more reasonable than most vets Ive ever dealt with. Further, he is professional, personable, and compassionate to all creatures, large and small. He was finishing up with a rabbit my second visit, and showed the same care and compassion as he does with any other animal. Hell, I think he’d be compassionate with a goldfish. I’ve paid half my bill today, and hope to pay in full this week—with a tip. Meanwhile, my dog is doing quite well, possibly better than for awhile. We are both in much better spirits because of his Dr. Gs compassion and skills. I actually feel quite lucky that my previous vet closed down his practice last week for his (I’m sure deserved) vacation--although my dog didn’t seem to consider this when he got sick, as my semi-emergency circumstances led me to the After Hours Veterinary Clinic, and Dr. G. (By the by, the moniker "After Hours Animal Clinic" only indicates that hell be available after hours. I saw him during the day. This guy is so dedicated he often works 12+ hours a day.) In summation, Dr. G is not just an exceptional veterinarian, he is an extraordinary humanitarian. He is now, without any doubt, our vet. Sincerely, MV

You pay for what you get. A friend referred me to this office, as she has been pleased with the vets service, but I must say I was disappointed after our last visit. We first brought our 5-year-old chocolate lab here for an exam and boosters, which went all right and was only $35. Basic care, nothing over the top for a dog, I appreciate that. We did have to wait over an hour and a half, outside the office, with our two little girls, even though we had made an appointment... but we saved some money. Figured that was just how it went for a deal. During our last visit, however, I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism. I brought our dog back to have a nickel-size lump on his elbow removed, and a nurse took him back and told me theyd call me in the afternoon. When I tried to ask questions, she was vague and curt. They didnt call when they said they would... I eventually called them, and they said hed be ready in two hours, 6PM. When my husband picked him up, they handed him over without any information whatsoever on how to take care of his incision, no pain meds, etc. (it was just sutured, but not bandaged). They also brought him out on the wrong leash, which my husband didnt realize until he got home. I figured they wouldve kept things like this with the dog. Again, not a huge deal in the scheme of things, but I noticed. I am not one to overly baby my pet, but I of course want to make sure hes in safe, friendly hands. Even if this was the case for his surgery, they really didnt try to assure me of this. Weve only been twice, so maybe weve just seen the wrong people...As I said, I like the bare-bones aspect and saving money, especially for pet care, and so far my dogs incision seems to be doing fine. But I feel that we can find a moderately priced vet office that also has people skills and more of an eagerness to communicate with owners.

I visited Red Rocks Animal Center to take my new dog to the vet for the first time. The lady who received us at the front desk was kind and helpful, and showed me a trick to help calm down my dog, who was very excited about the new experience. From then on, my visit took a sharp downward turn. The nurse that led us back to the exam room was rude, unprofessional, and very short with me. She asked me questions about my dog, did not listen to my answers, and was condescending when I had to re-explain what I had just told her. I was told that I should be more informed, and I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by asking questions about my dogs treatment. Then, before I or my dog had even met the doctor, he brought another dog into the exam room we were in without warning. Neither dog was aggressive but there was a commotion and it got my dog worked up again after we had just gotten her calmed down. Dr. G later introduced himself and apologized, but this was very unprofessional and could have even been disastrous. That all being said, Red Rocks was very clean and organized, and I was in and out in a very timely fashion. If you are on a budget or a time constraint and need a vet that will get down to business and keep your dog healthy, then Dr. G will certainly get the job done. However, if you are looking for a professional setting where you and your pet are treated with respect and kindness, I would recommend finding a different veterinary clinic. It is important to me to feel comfortable and open with my doctor, and I want the same for my dog.

If you have a sick pet then Do Not bring them here to Red Rocks Animal Center. Dr. Gennadily Chepelevich only cares about seeing as many pets as possible because he only cares about money, he doesnt take time to listen and help he only comes in to see your pet for 30 seconds and then he runs off to another pet and he doesnt come back. He gave my Dog the wrong medicine and it made my dog so much sicker and a few days later i took my dog back to the vet and he gave me another kind of pill to fix the problem the other medicine caused and the next day when i called back to talk to him and let him know whats happening to my dog he didnt come to the phone because hes busy with another pet and i left so many messages on his answering machine and with who ever was at the front desk for days telling them to have the Dr call me asap and he still hasnt called back and they dont have an emergency number because they honestly dont care. So after 3 days of waiting for the Drs phone call i took my dog to another veterinarian because my dog was suffering in pain and he freaked out and told me Dr Chepelevich gave me the wrong medicines for my dog and if he gave me the right medicine my dog would of been fine. Thank you Dr Chepelevich for making my dog so sick that i had to have him put to sleep today. P.S Dr Chepelevichs place smells so bad that you have to cover your nose Very greedy man who only cares about your money not your pet.
