This is the shadiest place I have ever been to in any business. They set up my appointment with my insurance. Told me I was all set. Copied my insurance card before the appointment. After the appointment they told me they dont accept my insurance and tried to charge me $250 for my free eye exam. I complained and they waived some of the fee and charged me $150. I left them a terrible review and they called me back and asked me to come in to resolve it for a free second consultation. They refunded me $30 and apologized. Then they proceeded to send me a bill for $130 for that ""free" appointment that they wont waive and when I ordered the contacts using their script they refused to verify it through my ordering company with any refills as I wasnt ordering from them. This place is beyond crooked. They have stolen lots of my time and tons of my money for an appointment fully covered by my insurance if they would have been honest with me at any point. I cant believe how crooked they are.

In 1981 I had a critical, traumatic brain injury in a car accident, and one of the results of my injury was that my left field of vision was lost in both eyes. This means I cannot see anything on my left side unless I look directly at it. I think it was Pat Winkler, my first physical therapist, who referred me to Dr. Hellerstein, and she had a specialist in field of vision loss, Dr. Gottlieb, come to her office in 1988. Dr. Gottlieb really improved what I can see because he made a pair of glasses just for me that allow me to look with both eyes. You see, I could only look with one eye at a time before he made them. I am very thankful for Dr. Hellerstein and Dr. Gottlieb. William J. Inman

I found Hellerstein and Brenner when my boys were still in elementary school. They are both off at out of state colleges, but still get their eyes checked here. Hellerstein and Brenner Vision will look at all possible pieces to the puzzle, turning each piece in every direction-twice and three times until they have ruled out visually correctable problems. I went in last week due to new development of headaches-rule out the eyes first before going to Neurology. I could see the wheels turning as Dr. Brenner "figured me out." The research and evidence-based practice and well thought out approach they utilize is all I could ask for. Oh yes-and they value my input!

Our family has been going to Hellerstein & Brenner for a number of years now. The office staff is always courteous and helpful. The exams are thorough. Dr. Brenner always takes time to listen and discuss any issues or concerns. She keeps up to date on new products on the market so she always has options to offer to find one that works best. I also appreciate the fact they welcome interns into their office to train. I think this not only keeps professionals sharp in their field but offers a way for people wanting to learn the profession to gain valuable practical experience and good customer care. Its a win-win-win situation!

I have seen both Hellerstein & Brenner for TBI related eye issues. They are wonderful. I can not thank them enough for all that they have done for me. Dr. Hellerstein is extremely knowledgeable, patient, compassionate and professional. I also underwent eye therapy at their office with Jen, equally as awesome. I am so lucky to have been referred to their office and I believe it is worth every penny I spent. I have recently also seen Dr. Amy Elsila for my yearly eye exam. I have only seen her the once and was not disappointed, she met all my expectations. I highly recommend Hellerstein & Brenner!

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Schaff and the staff at H&B for many years now for our vision and eyec are needs. Their commitment to patient satisfaction is truly appreciated. For my new daily wear contacts, Dr. Schaff spent the extra time to ensure the type/comfort/quality met MY needs; we tried on several styles/brands before both Dr. Schaff and I were satisfied with the fit. Never a hard sell on services and always encouraging a call/visit if we have any questions. Its just too bad insurance doesnt allow more visits as we truly enjoy our time with the staff at H&B!

When I was first introduced to them thru an associate at work , I was impressed by his description of the care and professionalism of the staff. Their staff truly delivers vision care. The staff takes the time to inform you of any potential issues you may be facing. I was impressed by their association with other specialist and their knowledge of current issues and new procedures. Great service and a caring atmosphere !!!!!

Dr. Brenner was so approachable and friendly, as well as obviously a real expert at what she does. My prescription is not an easy one, and the help I received with what kind of correction is best was extensive. The whole staff was great! I will certainly be returning for my regular eye exams, and would recommend Hellerstein and Brenner to friends and family - or anyone looking for really good eye care/health professionals.

I have been to many optometrists in the Denver area over the years, and this practice is the best. The eye exam is extremely comprehensive. The care is compassionate and friendly. The facility is modern, bright, and full of talented and knowledgeable individuals. This practice should be the benchmark against which all others should me measured. I have practiced medicine in the Denver area for over 40 years and I know a quality medical practice when I see it.

My family has been seeing Drs. Hellerstein and Brenner since the kids were little and we lived in Granby. My oldest daughter would make the trip down to Denver once a week for vision therapy with Dr. Hellerstein. A number of other kids from the Grand County area would also make the trip. Everyone else in the family has been seeing Dr. Brenner for general eye care for the last 25 or so years. Wouldnt go elsewhere.

Our 7 year old was diagnosed as bright, but his grades did not reflect that. After our son did his initial therapy we noticed a huge difference in his ability to learn. The techniques that they have taught us has made it so we can continue to foster his learning, Our son now expresses a confidence that he never had before! The therapy is the best investment we did for our son!

Dr. Amy was excellent!!!! My previous eye physician could not get my prescription right. Dr. Amy got it on the first try. She really took the time to listen to me and my concerns about my eyesight. Not only was Dr. Amy was amazing but every staff member I came in contact with was very professional and caring. I highly recommend this office for all your eye needs!
