Most unpleasant business experience I have had in five years. Horrible customer service. I called VISIONWORKS/EYEMASTERS Optometrist Office for a walk in appointment at 11:30am. They confirmed they accepted walk-in appointments until 12:00pm and then after 2:00pm. I told them I would be in before 12:00pm. I actually got inside of their office by 11:45am. After completing all the paperwork, the admin staff told me that I might have to come back around 2:00pm. When I questioned why, she indicated because they take lunch at 1:00pm. I voiced my disappointment since I had come in before 12:00pm and I was instructed over the phone for me to come in just minutes earlier. Despite this, she told me should we let me know momentarily if I would indeed need to come back @ 2:00pm. This is at 12:00pm. She does not get back with me so I think I am good to go. I get called to go back by the technician for my initial testing at 12:30pm. After those tests, I get seated in the lobby while I wait for the optometrist. I get called back by the technician at 1:00pm. I have a seat in the chair and the technician begins the second round of tests. After she finishes, she goes out of the office only to return with what I thought was a joke. She tells me that I will have to come back at 2:00pm! I am actually in the freaking chair after waiting a whole entire hour and fifteen minutes and you want me to come back later?! Have you guys lost you freaking minds?!!! What kind of business is that? No respect for people’s time…Horrible customer service…Just plain wrong. I was so upset I just decided I would go back to my old optometrist. I told them to cancel my insurance pre-authorization. The only thing they said was…”OK.”

While my expierence was not great, it was not the worst. Dr.Kerns was friendly for the most part, but her receptionist did seem to have an attitude. I went for my regular check ups and I wanted to try someone new, decide to give them a shot since they had good reviews. The intial exam went well but it was when I came back for my check up that everything went south. Originally I was going to get contacts and glasses, I requested the perscription and took them next door to Eye Masters. It was then I began to have my problems with the clerk telling me that I couldnt get contacts b/c I did not have an approved perscription, so I went back to Dr. Kerns and asked the receptionist to clarify this with eye masters. You would of thought I had asked her to give up her life just to help me out, gave me a couple of nasty looks and grunts and then made a simple call next door to eye masters and it was done. LOL so I thought.... Well the receptionist gave them the wrong perscription, so frustrated with this I just said lets get the glasses cuz since I had the perscription for that in hand. At the end of it all I between dealing with both Dr. Kerns office and Eye Masters, I just said the hell with it and only walked away with glasses. While I would not recommend them I can say that everyone will have the same expeirence as me, you make your own decisions.

Dr. Xavier and her staff are the best!!! I have seen her at a couple of offices now and she has always been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The staff is very welcoming and efficient. They answered all my insurance questions and explained all the additional testing information to me in a very clear way. I was well aware of the cost of the exam before I was even seen and what the difference was between using my medical vs. vision insurance. I would definitely recommend this office to anybody in the Austin area. You will receive an amazing exam! The office even worked with my busy schedule to find the best appointment time for me and they accept all walk-ins! All in all I would definitely recommend Master Eye Associates- I will be going back for my eye exam next year!!!

It was my first visit to Dr. Kerns office and I could not have been more pleased. From the moment I called till the moment I walked out the door I was treated with the utmost professionalism. I feel like I received a very thorough exam and was given the time to ask question and have them answered. I was even given a new type of contacts this year which Dr. Kerns had chosen to help with my specific complaints and they have been great. I am now able to wear contact lenses all the time again. I strongly recommend Dr. Kerns to everyone. Thank you Dr. Kerns and staff for a great experience.

I am new to Austin and I have been meaning to find a new optometrist. I saw Dr. Xavier and she was nothing less than awesome. Informative and very nice, she saw me right away and I was out of there within thirty minutes. Any questions I had she answered and went the extra mile to explain what she meant. The front desk ladies were very nice and made my experience run smoothly and made sure all my information was up to date. (Even after I lost my insurance card they were able to pull up my info hassle free) So happy I found this place! I will be going back in the future!

Told I possibly had glaucoma, so we scheduled an "OCT" test. It took about a month to schedule. Spent four months worrying and I still dont know because they cancelled the appointment last minute because the special machine I waited for wasnt there. I rescheduled for three months later and they called to notify me last minute again that I would be paying out of pocket a couple of hundred dollars. Couldve saved up by then if given a heads up. Either way tired of wasting time and $$$ with them. Thanks but no thanks for your business*

I visited Master Eye Associates just this morning and I have to say, I left there very impressed! From the moment I walked in to the time that I left, I felt totally at ease. I was engaged by the staff and doctor from the beginning and through each step. They ladies there were fun and had great personalities. Dr. Xavier was a pleasure to work with and answered any and all questions I had, no matter how small. Not only is this my go to place now but I whole-heatedly recommend them to anyone! Great job folks!

I love Master Eye Associates. They have a very friendly staff who always makes me feel comfortable upon arrival. My appointments are fast and always on time. Dr. Blanchard is my eye doctor. He is very friendly and professional. He takes the time to diagnosis my condition with multiple options which allows me to make an informed decisions. I highly recommend Dr. Blanchard and his team at Master Eye Associates.

Doctor and staff were great, my wife and I were seen right away. The doctor performed a thorough examination and explained everything in detail. The doctor performed the exam,explained her findings and gave us our prescriptions. It was nice NOT to have the staff pressuring you to buy glasses from them. Since they dont sell glasses, there was no high pressure sale tactics to endure.
