I knew the minute I heard my mother-in-laws voice on the other end of the phone, that we had reached out tipping point. Her normal up beat, cheerful tone wasnt there, instead, she was sobbing and finally admitted that she just couldnt do it all any longer. She has had a history of falling, but the last one, resulting in a bad elbow break, was the last straw. "I just cant do it all any longer… What can we do? I dont want to leave my house…." she sobbed. Fortunately, I knew there was an answer. During a recent stay at skilled nursing, I remembered we were introduced to Nancy Hemming, of Always Best Care. I called Nancy, and within an hour, Nancy was meeting with my mother-in-law, and arranging for care assistance. Upon return home from the surgery to reset her elbow, mom was met by a compassionate, professional caregiver, who stayed with her the first night, making sure all her post-surgical care plans were adhered to, and she wasnt in pain. The next day, other caregivers came, all of which were top notch. In the days following surgery, her care needs lessened, and Always Best Care made schedule adjustments to perfectly meet her needs. We are now utilizing their services several days a week, to help with errands, provide social support, and ensure that mom is eating a well-balanced diet. I cant thank Always Best Care enough, for all that they did, not only in our time of emergency, but ongoing, to allow mom, to continue her independent lifestyle! Always Best Care is an amazing company. My grandmother had a series of falls and was in and out of the hospital and rehabs, and during her times home Always Best Care took excellent care of her. The staff was easy to work with, very informative, and made my grandma feel at ease in uncomfortable situations like her personal care needs. Once we knew she couldnt be at home any longer, Nancy went above and beyond to help us find the right facility for my grandma. She had so many details, and information that I knew I was making the right decision. Now almost a year later, I still know it was the right choice and would come to Always Best Care with any other care needs my family could possibly have.
