Let me start by first saying that the process of having my blood drawn for routine pregnancy blood work was perfectly acceptable. This is not about the phlebotomist, but whomever at this location screwed up the billing process. According to the customer service rep on the phone, the staff at Quest Diagnostics (this location) attempted to send my invoice to insurance, even though I listed no insurance as it was supposed to be sent directly to my provider (midwife). Rep on the phone tells me that they dont send invoices directly to providers, even though the paperwork I brought in CLEARLY had the little box checked that said to send it directly to the provider and was verbally confirmed with the woman at the front desk. Oddly, my midwife did receive the results of my blood work, but neither of us received a bill. Rep on the phone then says that according to whatever computer trail he was following, they attempted to send me my invoice, but didnt have my address on file. So how did I get blood work done? Fast forward a few months and I go to a different Quest Lab (Balsam location in Littleton) for an additional blood draw, where they say Im not in their system, but I should be since I was at another location. Rep on the phone says thats not the case, but well get back to that. THIS location has no problem sending my midwife the invoice 4-6 weeks later. And what does your rep say? That the previous lab work was then connected to my address so it could be sent... except locations dont share systems? And I STILL didnt receive my invoice until 6 months later? To summarize: I received an invoice I wasnt supposed to receive in the first place, ten month after the date of service, because someone at this location dropped the ball. Customer service rep on the phone was less than helpful and spent his time trying to give me reasons for the screw-up, until I finally told him that unless he was going to actually do something about the problem, I was done speaking with him. I would hope that with a company this size that this kind of mix-up is an anomaly, but I certainly wont be going to this location again.

I am furious with the "service" Ive received. I sent an employee out for a hair test last Thursday with the impression wed have results in 24-72 hours. Monday I called for an update and was told wed have results by then or today (Tuesday). I just called for an update on this case and was told they barely received the specimen this morning (Tuesday morning) and that it would be an additional 24-72 hours to get the results. She acknowledged it was strange that it took 4 days for the specimen to get to the lab but couldnt tell me anything further.

My son and I have been into this facility numerous times (6, 7), and we have always found the staff helpful and gentle with blood draws.
