Just spoke to Dr. Bill Warkentin on the phone after 3 months with no response from my current pcp Dr. Reynolds. I wrote Dr. Reynolds a message in the patient portal (dont bother, they dont respond) approximately 3 months ago on 5/11. To date, he still hasnt responded. I also tried to call and left several messages as I knew my insurance was going to expire and I wast trying to be treated before that happened. Finally, this Dr. Warkentin calls me today on behalf of Dr. Reynolds. I explained the issue to him, which he chose to argue about (not getting a return call) then asked if he could help. I asked him if he was familiar with my case, and he said he has my chart. Then we got into reading the message I wrote in the patient portal where he accused me of not having stated a need for a response. That message in the patient portal follows here: "Doc, Thanks for the phone call the other day and the new prescription. I have been looking into things myself a bit and want to schedule a time with you to get my liver checked out. I think the back acne, dermatitis, water retention, light sensitivity, and eye pain all have one thing in common; my liver. With the (slightly) elevated ALT levels I have had it seems to make sense. I have cut out all grains, starches, cruciferous vegetables, and non-fruit sugars in the last couple months and still the symptoms persist. I have also noticed that if I have a glass of wine or a hard cider that the symptoms get worse. Let me know when we can get this done, I am in town until next Thursday, and then again 5/29-6/10. Until then I am cutting out alcohol entirely and will be taking milk thistle to attempt to reverse some of the symptoms. We can talk about if it works or not then. Thanks!" Dr. Reynolds had called me approx a month prior to this message to change my prescription for one of the skin medications I am using. Thats the last I heard from him. This Dr. Warkentin was more interested in trying to argue with me about my dealings with Dr. Reynolds than trying to help with my medical problems. When it got to the point of asking him about my medical issues, he said "I dont know you" to which I responded "thats why asked in the beginning if you were familiar with my case". I ended the call by telling him that I understand he is not interested in helping me, and thanked him for his time. This is a MAJOR violation of his hippocratic oath, and I believe between that and his obviously jaded and extremely poor attitude towards patients that he should be stripped of his MD and removed from his position immediately. By responding this way, in a training hospital setting, he is teaching his doctors to treat patients this way, and be dismissive of their problems. This shows an incredible lack of accountability, and refusal to accept that his students (who are also doctors themselves) may make mistakes that need to be learned from and corrected. I find this whole experience here to be riddled with medical negligence on behalf of the doctors, and am extremely disappointed with the outcome of both my treatment and communication. Thankfully I have made copies of all of my correspondence in the event that I need to bring legal proceedings against this office for gross negligence in the future. Do not use this office if you can find ANYWHERE else to go. Unlike others I do want to say that the front desk staff was always pleasant and on the ball!

Drove 30 minutes (one direction) and went in for my appt. They couldnt find it in their system. I showed her the email from their clinic confirming the appt time and date. She said it must be a computer glitch because they could see all my information in the system (I was a new patient, so they knew I must have given it to someone on the phone when I booked the appt). I was told to reschedule since they were booked that morning. I explained I took time off work for the clearly scheduled appt and my time was very valuable and they needed to figure out another solution than asking me to reschedule, since I wasnt the one that made the mistake. I was told there was nothing they could do except reschedule me. I was in shock at the lack of concern for their mistake. So I left and called from the parking lot and asked for management. I was DONE with them at this point, but felt the need to express my disappointment in their lack of concern for their error and my wasted time. The Dr got on the phone and explained that the computer glitch wasnt their fault either and I was welcome to reschedule because they are the "best clinic in the state". (I beg to differ). I explained that it was unacceptable customer service and I wouldnt be back since I did nothing wrong and their asking me to reschedule was a joke. He proceeded to lecture me and tell me he is the Chair of the AMA and I didnt know who I was calling a joke. (At this point I lost my cool) And told him exactly what I thought.

Ive been going to this clinic since I moved here from nj almost two years ago.. had pleasant experiences until today wen taking my husband to the doctor after having a stroke and heart issues that ended up him unresponsive in hospital and because he is like other young men that pick at their pimples and etc the older skinny doctor came in and accused him of being a drug addict with needles and or meth wen he doesnt touch it. N Infront of my two year old I told him instead of accusing him drug test him and the doctor was very disrespectful not doctor Davis though.. then wen I asked to speak to office management the doctor in charge got very rude and threatened me and told me that I was to be discharged also n all this infront of my son and got security and Im I went across the street to wait for my husband and stood outside of my car to smoke a cigarette to calm down they had 5 security officers standing outside to watch me after explaining I was waiting for my husband to get out and he passed a drug test.. so I hope everyone is careful and finds a better clinic to attend because ud be upset to being accused of drugs infront of ur child and u dont touch them and are even foster parents and the student doctors and secretaries are great just the older two doctors/ office management is ignorant and should have picked a different field of occupation and arent even respectable enough to apologize for them making false allegations!!! Completely unprofessional!!!!

Im so happy to be a patient here! My doctor is truly very compassionate and concerned! Dr. Barrett I am truly greatful to have you as my Doctor! After experiencing several doctors who helped me lose trust in health care. Dr Barret, regained it in just one visit, THATS HOW MUCH SHE CARES!!! I came in worried about being treated like a number, that was not the case at all! She even reassured me that my scheduled time was for me and to never feel rushed or like Im not important. For the first time in my adult life I feel like a have a great doctor! She pressed me for more information needed about situation in a graceful, empathic way. She made sure to let me know she doesnt want to sound uncompassionate but that I needed to get the things that I was struggling with in control and that she is glad that I came in so we can do it together! To me that was the most compassionate thing she could have done in that moment. Thank you Doctor Barrett! This office has put in the work to help the patients feel like they matter! They understand that most of their patients struggle financially but that does not mean that they dont deserve good quality health-care. If you take the time to show them respect and honor the time they have taken to get through school to be a health care provider. Rocky Vista and the doctors there will make sure you are taken care of!
