SAVE YOURSELF- DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ACTUALLY NEED LEGITIMATE MEDICAL ATTENTION! I have been to Farmington Valley Dermatology over THREE times for an extremely rare, relentless condition that has come back over 4 times within the past 2-1/2 months! Not ONCE did the actual dermatologist see me, the PA Mike brushed off my case like it was no big deal (clearly it is because I kept coming back!) and he never went over the any of the 3 blood work results with me despite the fact that In the past I have never had anyththing but "perfectly healthy blood." When some of the results were above average he said, "Well this came back higher than usual but that can be explained." Yet never justified it. The only decent employee they have is Gail. Gail was thorough, kind, understanding and insisted on performing a biopsy to get some actual answers (for once!) when the results came back as a drug eruption they handed me off to an allergist. Every time I relied on them to fax results over, or call in a prescription- they always FAILED to do so. When I would arrive at the pharmacy they would tell me NOTHING had come in! Then, when I went to the allergist, they had to relentlessly call the office because they had not send in the necessary documents. Seriously? As for the actual dermatologist- the fact that I had come in on SO many occasions and not once did you give me the light of day... youre absolutely pathetic-- all you care about is making people LOOK better (confident) NOT feel better!

I engaged with Farmington Valley Dermatology on two occasions. On my first visit, I waited in under crowded waiting room for roughly twenty minutes before being shuffled into a patient room where I sat for an additional thirty minutes. The doctor eventually prescribed me a medication that I had to send away for in the mail. The process took ages, and after weeks of trying to figure out how it all worked, we discovered the company was no longer shipping the medication out. My second occasion was an attempt to fix this mishap. I had an appointment scheduled for 11:00, which is when I arrived and signed in. I sat in the waiting room and watched as people who had arrived both before and after me were taken. I asked the secretaries how much longer my wait would be, and I was told I would be taken momentarily. After forty minutes, a lady who had just recently arrived was taken, leaving me (again) alone in the waiting room. At this point I walked out, as I would have missed my noon commitment otherwise. Overall very poor customer service. I was treated less than respectfully by the secretaries, and even when I wasnt waiting I felt as though they didnt care if their treatment was successful. Very inefficient establishment. Would not recommend. There is a dermatologist in Bloomfield, CT, which I have used before and have had great success with.

Time spent well. I went in believing I had a skin keloid when it was actually a hypertrophic. Still a skin scar, but not as raised off the skin as a keloid would be. After examination, the doctor explained in great detail the difference between what I have and what I thought I had. For treatment, I was prescribed a oil/cream to apply to the area. Within two weeks after using the prescription, I noticed a difference. Note: The scar is 11 years old and prior to going in, I wasnt sure there was much treatment, if any. As for the office, paperwork....., the staff was professional and knowledgeable about all inquires I had for them. I recommend this practice for any dermatology concerns. Words of Wisdom,, familiarize yourself with what you believe in, and ask the doctor if what you believe in correct or not.

I had developed spots on the back of my neck. For years no one could tell me how to treat it. Finally when Dr. Waqar (Sabrina) was in mass she treated me and finally diagnosed my symptoms. Now with her treatment Im happy to say I very rarely have a break out . I was extremely pleased with Dr. Sabrina and how kind and caring she is , that when I learned she opened her practice in Avon Ct. I became a patient there. Its definitely worth the 1hr 45 min drive. Although the waiting rm is busy the wait isnt that long. You know the treatment you are getting and staff are excellent or the waiting room would be empty. Just wanted to say thank you Farmington Valley Vermatology.

Dr. Waqar the most AMAZING dermatologist Ive EVER seen , I have gone there the past two times to get injections for alopecia . She is so caring about how I feel, and what I have to say, very understanding, and has given me great advice on what I should do for hair gain and so forth. ALSO, my grandmother has gone there aswell and completely loved Dr. Waqar, she is an AMAMING DOCTOR and cares about her patients. She took her time to make sure we where all set and didnt have any other questions. Thank you Dr. Warqar your awesome !! And to all the staff there yous are all sweet! ☺️

This practice is amazing! Ive been to quite a few dermatologists and Dr.Sabrina was the only one who truly cared about my needs and provided the care I was looking for. To her youre not just a medical record number. She truly is a great provider! Thank you so much Dr.Sabrina for all that you have done for me. I recommend this practice for any and all dermatological issues. I guarantee you will not regret it. I wish you could givery more than 5 stars. :)

Nothing short of excellent !! Dr. Waqar is kind, caring and compassionate. I had a bit of a wait in the waiting room. but was well worth the wait. i understood why the wait when it was my turn. She takes the time to listen to your every concern and find the best treatment that works for your skin issue. Finally after years of dealing with Adult Acne it"s finally under control.

Dr. Waqar was incredibly knowledgable and very kind. She actually spent time with me and asked questions that other dermatologists would not have asked. She really cared about my concerns, and offered a treatment plan that would work for my lifestyle. I really enjoyed my visit with her! She was so great that I didnt even mind that she took a while to come in. Will be back!
