If I could rate it a zero I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. This practice was highly recommended to me from a previous practice that unfortunately shut down. Ive had a medical skin disease for almost all my life so Im familiar with dermatologists. Never in my entire life have I ever been treated this poorly by a practice. This practice only cares about taking your money. I come to see a Robert Masters with only my one concern and they want to diagnose me with acne issues and a bug bite. He tried to prescribe me medication that was almost $100 for a BUG BITE. They do not care about you and will not follow up with you. Months of back and forth with still no progress between them and a third party company for my medication. I had to constantly call to speak with a nurse for weeks and months with no return calls and when I FINALLY spoke to a nurse, I was told that everything was waiting on me. Called the company every single time they told me that and was informed that they were STILL WAITING to hear back from the practice. You are treated as an inconvenience when you as the client, call and have to follow up with the so called professionals. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. ONLY YOUR MONEY. Dont believe me?? We were referred to this office by a family physician. One that is actually a collegue of Dr Johnsons. He was unavailable and we saw one of the nurse practioners. The issue that brought us to the office was minor so we were okay with it. The second time, after being referred again to him by an aesthetician in the skin care center upstairs from the dermatology office I was told Dr Johnson is not taking any new patients. Why dont they know that?? I kept the appointment with another less professional nurse practitioner who talked too fast. When I asked her to slow down she told me she had 30 patients and 15 minutes per patient. (She was 30 min late for my appointment) Since she did not have time to answer a couple of questions, she left the room and handed me sheets pertaining to my condition that I could have downloaded myself off of the internet. My visit was capped off by a very rude front office person. Her name is Hunter. I am only making reference to her by name because the other ladies were warm and engaging. I dont want there to be any misunderstandings about them. My reason for going to this office was minor, I hope people with more serious problems get better quality care.

Best Dermatologist group Ive experienced in a long time! Virginia Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center has a welcoming staff, my appointment was made with ease and they worked around a hectic work schedule to find suitable times. Ive experienced wonderful patient services from both the Norfolk and Suffolk offices. Tiffany Crews L.M.A. has been wonderful with guiding me through a personal skin care regime, she is knowledgeable about what was needed to suit my goals and weighed the pros and cons for my treatment plan. Tiffany makes you feel comfortable before, during and after procedures. Not to many offices follow up with a phone call to check on you, they do! While being seen by Tiffany she noticed a few spots that needed attention from Lorie Ann Conza NP-C. She also was wonderful, very thorough and personable, she spent quality time with me and removed several suspicious lesions. I would highly recommend both Tiffany Crews L.M.A. and Lorie Ann Conza NP-C for your skin care and dermalogical needs!

They do not take patients seriously that are seen for minor issues. I was waiting on a request they sent to my insurance, and was told it takes about 3 weeks. I was given a follow up appointment and had to pay 80$ to get told they havent heard anything when it could have been a simple phone call. The doctor also told me he would have called if they denied it so i did not waste my time. But I should be seen to be told "I dont know", paying 80$, and taking a day off of work instead of a simple phone call? The doctor also proceeded to talk about me with the nurses about my concern, loud in the hallway, as if I cant hear through a door. The nurses were extremely helpful and concerned about my issue but the doctor acted as if I was wasting his time. I definitely DO NOT recommend. This has happened to me twice now with them.

They are very unprofessional. Phone calls are not returned, medications are not changed unless you come in again. Since they already diagnosed you, this step seems to be just to collect an office fee. I called for weeks to get a prescription changed since the one I was prescribed made my condition worse. The nurse practitioner NEVER returned my call or changed my prescription. It was only after I asked the receptionist to speak to someone other than Robert Masters, who had been ignoring me, did I find out that he wanted me to come in to see why the meds did not work. I dont know how my coming in would have helped him since he already knew what was wrong with my skin. Would never recommend this office. Stay away.

The absolute worse experience I have ever had at any professional practice. They have prescribed medications that required prior authorizations (PA) and they have failed to request from insurance provider. The pharmacy has sent up to 3 separate requests for a PA. They lack attention to detail. The doctor has just prescribed me the wrong medication. She forgot that she had originally prescribed a different med. When I call to get the correct med, they put the wrong dosage. The staff are uneducated and poorly trained. I would highly recommend finding another practice.

Dr. Quarles did not listen to my medical history or the issues that I was having. He spoke over me and spent a total of three minutes with me. His demeanor was curt. Despite having a morning appointment, he notified me that my prescription would not be ready until that evening because he "had things to do" before he could call it in. Awful. Do not waste your time or money. On a side note, the front office staff were very friendly.

I went in to have moles looked at. I have freckles and moles all over and my mother had melanoma. I too have had multiple atypical moles. The doctor did a hurried review while I was seated. When I began to stand to show him the back of my thighs, etc, he told me to sit back down. He removed one more from my neck, it came back mildly atypical. He never even saw all of my moles. I now need to find another doctor for a thorough exam.

I normally dont post reviews, but I really enjoyed my experience here. The young ladies at the front desk were so friendly, and Hunter and her manager Nancy were so patient with me, as I had so many questions about my insurance. I was there in June, and have sent me husband and 2 friends there! Dr. Johnson and his staff are fantastic!
