I just had my Lasik yesterday and the results are amazing! I have been wearing glasses my whole life and the gift of sight without inconvenience is beyond words. I had an early morning appt and the longest part was waiting. The actual time in the surgery room was less than 5 minutes. Very few parts were a little uncomfortable due to them using devices to hold open your eyes but not painful with the numbing drops they used and very short lived. The uncomfortableness was more pressure on your eye that youre not used to. The laser was a pretty light show and I didnt feel a thing. Right after, I could see the doc clearly and see across the room. You wait a few more minutes in a darker room and wait to get your eyes rechecked by an optometrist before given discharge instructions. After a nap when i got home, my fiance and I had some errands to run. He made a game of which street signs I could read. Knowing I could read pretty far the same day after surgery without glasses made me feel awesome. In all, tge whole process was very smooth and informative. The staff was excellent about making sure I was comfortable and encouraging questions. I would recommend this to anyone!

I had a fantastic experience from the get go at the LASIK Vision Institute in Farmington, CT. Krista, the manager of the office, was very helpful and answered all of my questions (there was a ton). She was very laid back and friendly. Surgery day was just as I expected because Krista told me what to expect. The wait could be anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. It took just about 3 1/2 to go in. They serve snacks and water while you wait as well as showing a movie to help pass the time. My suggestion talk to the people around you while you wait, might make a new friend after all you are all about to undergo the same life changing experience. Dr. Garrana was fantastic and talked me through the procedure. Before you know it the whole thing is done and your on your way to better vision. All of the staff at the LASIK Vision Institute were phenomenal and very friendly.

Expect the staff to be warm and welcoming if you stop in for a consultation. The actual day of surgery is very rushed, the surgeon is nice but does not spend a lot of time with the patient. My follow-up appointments were cancelled twice on me post-surgery, which was a huge inconvenience seeing as the new hours they offered for appointments were very limited.

The lasik vision institute was a grate experience. The whole staff was extremely nice and polite. They were quick to answer any questions i had and did a grate job helping me finance the surgery . There scheduling was also vary convenient and changing my appointments was vary easy and quick .

After discussion about PRK, recovery time, and how surgery dates would not work with my schedule, was told "we are done, take off." Suprisingly rude, but thats just my experience.
