This is a solid place if you are looking for eye care. The place is just fine and I think some of the posts here are ridiculous. I have been a resident of Norwalk ct my whole life and have always gone to Optical Image. The service is great and the people who work there are always nice to me. Mr. Asher, the owner, always goes out of his way to get me my contacts fast. You can even get your eyes examined there now and he has a huge selection of eyeglasses. Its a lot better than vision world up the road, that place has the worst service and products. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because some items and services can be expensive. Optical Image is a solid place and the owner cares about his customers..

DO NOT GO THIS PLACE. It is filthy and disgusting. There is a layer of dust and old food and old tissues scattered everywhere. The carpet hasnt been vacuumed in years, if ever. I asked the owner how he find anything in the place and he said "You cant criticize genius." Amazing. I came home and took a long shower. Believe me, you will not want to try on any glasses - who knows where theyve been or the last time theyve been cleaned. Im not calling this guy a pedophile, but thats the level of horror that immediately came over me - there is clearly something seriously wrong with him. Icky. I will never go back there. If I knew how to report a health violation, I would.

I would encourage you to take one look at this store in Wilton. You will not believe the mess all around the shop. It is boardline pathological. This includes the owner and the way he dresses and cares for his appearance. Even if you can get past that his quality leaves much to be desired. I unfortunately found out the hard way. The first time the glasses came back made to the wrong measurement (his). The second time the lenses were to big for the frames leaving a gap - this he said he noticed but wanted to see if there was going to be an issue with it - meaning if I didnt notice then there would be no issue. Unbelievable.

I have dealt with Optical Image for many years. Ashton, the owner, knows his business, his service is quick and his prices are low. He is also a compassionate human being; ever notice the bins for collecting food for the needy? Many times he has adjusted my glasses for free, but asked that next time Im in I bring food. I do. I love this place. I cant argue with any of the postings about how messy it is, and if I were shopping for a housecleaner this probably wouldnt be the guy -- but for contact lenses and frames we have always been very happy. Its the sort of service you only wish you could have in other stores.
