I was calling for basic information and what I got was an education. Thank you Heidi! BrightStar Care of Hartford is wonderful and just what my brother and I needed for our father. In the first conversation, Heidi took my anxiety level from a 10 to a 5, then followed up with an email containing all the information she spoke about. How easy was that to share with my brother. Brightstar had a few things that stood out from the other two agencies I called and that is what drove my brother and I to our decision. Everything from the personal introductions to the billing process (long term care ins) was seamless for our family. The "triangle of care" approach has been key for us. There was one time when our caregivers child was sick, so the scheduler slipped one of the other team members in. They even had a staff member that was in the military come out to talk with dad and they shared their military experiences. We are Brightstar supporter to the end and have passed along our experience in my office and my brothers law office. I worked here. I was very unhappy with certain things. They would not pay me on pay day numerous times and when I brought it up the owner told me legally they dont have to pay me for a month. I was in tears because my check was supposed to be in my account and they ended up shorting me 3/4ths of my check the week of my boyfriend at the time birthday... I was trying to resolve the situation but the only option they gave me was to wait for it until the following week... Which wouldnt work because I would miss the deadline for getting my boyfriend a gift... And had bills on top of it to pay... And the owners response was "legally we could not pay you for a month" in a very bitchy tone might I add. Its a husband and wife who owns it. The husband is nice. If they treat employees like that dont trust them to give your parents good care. The wife only cares about money. Not the well-being of your loved one. Luckily for me Ive since graduated college and maintain a full time career in the field I went to school for. Steer clear from bright star.

I was working for Brightstar for almost a year. And I shouldve listen to friends of mine that worked for this company. They are selfish and not understanding people at all. I was admitting Into the hospital for 3 days and couldnt make to a client. When I went to the office the owner Heidi comes to me like shes my mother and says "I dont think you understand what communication means" "your suppose to call before just showing up" and I said I was just there to give my doctors note thats all. Then I was getting the run around when I was trying to get back to work kept telling me I have to meet with her so I waited 5 days to get a call and set a meeting when I went there It was for her to fire me. Like dont work for this company you dont even get sick time or nothing I had employees tell me they been there for over a year and only have 2 days sick time. This company sucks. I see why people dont last there. Terrible people!! Dont even deserve a star.

THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY EVER TO WORK FOR THEY WILL SMILE AT YOUR FACE AND ONCE YOUR IN DANGER ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS YOU GETTING TO A CLIENTS HOUSE IM SUEING THEM AS WE SPEAK PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS BRIGHSTSTAR THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY THEY DONT CARE THEY TALK SO MUCH CRAP BEHIND EMPLOYEES THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR AND THEY WILL MESS UP ON YOUR PAYCHECK IF THERE MAD AT YOU.
