I chose Dr. DiNardo based on the glowing reviews he had on Vitals and patient satisfaction . Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience. I had an appointment, but was not seen until an hour and a half later, which is understandable for a busy office. He was very kind and pleasant, no complaints about him. His staff is a different story... I was referred to a specialist but they never gave me a referral. I was also prescribed medicine, but they never sent it to the pharmacy. My appointment was on Monday, I went to the pharmacy on Wednesday, no prescription. I called the office and they said " oops sorry, well send it again please confirm the pharmacy youd like to pick up your prescription" which I did without a problem. I gave them the phone number to the correct pharmacy THREE times, yet that was too hard of a task. A WEEK LATER... and they still have not sent the prescription. I called again a little irritated and they said "well we cant find the pharmacy with that phone number, can you please confirm again" so I did AGAIN. I called the pharmacy 3 hours later and they still didnt have the order. Rightfully loosing my patience, I called the office to ask what was going on and they transferred me to the office manager. Her explanation was that they didnt know the pharmacy address, even though they had the phone number and name of Publix pharmacy. I asked the office manager why cant they just call the pharmacy and ask for the information they need, she cut me off and asked me to give her the number of the pharmacy AGAIN. I asked her "cant you ask your staff for that? I gave it to them multiple times for a week" her response was nothing short of complete disrespect for a patient: "If you dont want to give me that information then you can find another practice" ?! Thank you to all of Dr. DiNardos staff members at Family Health Center of Greater Orlando for making me feel like a grain of sand as an unimportant patient just trying to get her medicine.

Dr. DiNardo is by far, The BEST!! . Hes knowledgeable, caring, has an excellent bedside manner, is very professional, pays attention to your concerns and makes sure they are addressed. He always knows whats in your chart, unlike some specialists Ive gone to in the area. He makes sure to explain what is going on, including the purpose behind any medications and/or tests. He makes sure you get a call with results of all tests and goes over them with you if needed. I call them educating doctors. Doctors that see you as participants in your health care. Since I never got past the phase of asking “why”, that’s very important to me. After going to the same doctors for decades in another state, I found it difficult to find an office in Orlando that compared. One where I felt comfortable with the doctors knowledge, ability and, personality/bedside manner. However, I finally found that with Dr. DiNardo and All of the Staff at Family Health Care of Greater Orlando!!! They are THE BEST and I highly recommend them to everyone who is looking for a doctor. Their office hours are more than convenient, even Saturdays, making it where you don’t even have to miss work or school to get seen. That’s just a bonus.

I am very grateful to have Dr. Downing as our family physician. He is caring in such a genuine way, always takes time to listen, is thorough, very knowledgeable and truly demonstrates superior commitment & compassion towards his patients. Along with Dr. DiNardo and the wonderful staff at the Family Health Center of Greater Orlando, theyre amazing and do an outstanding job. Anyone I have ever heard mention Dr Downing, has always spoke of him in the highest regard..I guess thats why he continuously wins Patients Choice Award and receives the Compassionate Doctor Recognition. Id like to say thank you to Dr. Downing for all the wonderful care youve provided my family over the many years and to express all of our heartfelt appreciation for your kindness and excellent care. Ive been going to Family Health Center of Greater Orlando for 14 or 15 years now. Dr. Downing has been my primary provider. I couldnt imagine having to find a new doctor at this point. I love the care he provides me and the relationship we have developed over the years. When hes not available Im still very confident in his staff and the care I will receive from them. All take the time to listen to you to determine the best course of action to take. The nurses are awesome, I received a steroid shot in the backside no pain or bruising, I had to have a blood draw for my thyroid work up, again no pain no bruising. As much as I would like to tell all to avoid at all cost so I can keep them all to myself I just cant do it. They are all amazing.

Family Health Center was my clinic when I lived in Oviedo. But after I moved over an hour away a few years ago, I tried clinics that were closer to me (Centra Care) and hated the experience. So this time when I need care, I drove the hour to get to Family Health. Once I arrived, I discovered that they had converted to appointment only, and I didnt have an appointment. Well, Family Health was kind enough to squeeze me in anyways, an in less than 30 minutes, I was in. I got the antibiotics that I needed and I was on my way. You really cant find a better health care center. From now on, I will drive the hour that it takes to get there.

I have been a patient of Dr. Downings for several years and have always been highly satified with the care and attention I have received by both Dr. Downing and his staff. He has a very busy practice so I would advise making an appointment...otherwise expect to wait a bit before being seen. The staff is quick and efficient and Dr. Downing is great about taking the time necessary to assess his findings and explain the treatment course. If youre in search of a physician who delivers quality care then I would highly recommend Dr. Downing and the Family Health Center. LA

Ive been going to them for many years now. I didnt know they recently became an appointment based doctors office vs. a walk in. However, the lady at the front desk was very nice about it and able to fit me in that same day. The doctor was very nice and positive. The wait time and appointment was short, sweet, and to the point. Also, they were able to pull up my health insurance information quickly. Overall, it seems the recent changes theyve made have been positive ones, and more helpful for the patients and staff.

Long waits EVEN with appioment, expect to wait almost 2 hours. Horrible customer service, the two front ladies are THE WORST EMPLOYEES. They have NO empathy, they have NO idea how to talk to customers, and they talk to you as if they are better than you. I have never felt disrespected going to a doctors office because you shouldnt feel that way, but these two front ladies managed to belittle me and make me feel ridiculous. DO NOT COME HERE.
