Never go to "Gentle" Dental!!! Definitely the WORST dental experience Ive ever had. I would never reccomend this place to anybody that wants to keep their teeth. They lie and tell you that you have more cavities than you really do or that you need to get teeth pulled when you dont. Please read my story before you come here: When I arrived, a dental assistant took my x-rays and was basically digging the x-ray film plastic thingy that they ask you to bite down on into my gums. After that they measured the spaces in between my teeth, then I was moved into a different chair to start the cleaning process. An older woman ( who seemed so flustered like she didnt really know what she was doing) started my cleaning process, and began to do a full mouth debrivement ( clean in between the spaces). After VERY ROUGHLY scraping doing my front bottom row of GUMS (about 6 or 7 teeth and Im using the term teeth VERY LOOSELY, she was scraping my gums), she claimed that I would need to buy some sentivitivy paste that my insurance wouldnt cover because I was obviously flinching due to the scraping. So she didnt finish scraping my teeth and she said that she would finish when I came back to get the paste first? And then she would begin the cleaning process after she finished the debrivement. I went along with it, and I was moved to another chair where a Dentist looked in my mouth and told me that I had 6 cavities and 2 wisdom teeth that needed to be pulled. I thought that this was odd and planned on getting a second opinion. I get to a different dentist office to try to get my teeth cleaned because something kept telling me not to go back to Gentle Dental (probably the scraping!), and they tell me they cant clean my teeth because the Gentle dental completed a "full mouth debrivement" which clearly isnt true considering what Ive just stated above. And I definitely wasnt going back to Gental Dental for anything. So, I call them and ask why they would say they completed something that they didnt do and demanding to speak to a manager, but everyone just kept giving me the runaround. So I waited another 6 months to get a cleaning. This is where it gets good... I go back to my now favorite dentist, Dental Care of Michigan (Hazel Park) and go through the x-ray process, PAINLESS. The dental assistant was so nice! They started the full mouth debrivement...PAINLESS! They then proceeded to clean my teeth. They measured my gums, and the dentist comes in and tells me that I only have 4 cavities. Thats right guys, 4 cavities! I was so shocked, and thankful that I went elsewhere...

The worst dental experience I have ever had! The wait time to get in the chair is horrible. After getting in the chair, x-rays were taken and was told that I could get my teeth cleaned that day. Five minutes into the cleaning process the dental tech stopped the process and told me that I needed a deeper cleaning process and that I would have to pay $100.00 upfront. However she stated that she would see if my insurance would cover the charge. She called my about 60 days later to inform me that my insurance would cover the charge and set up a appointment for my return. When she put me in the chair she immediately started the numbing process and when I was completely numb, she then proceeded to tell me that the procedure was not covered and I would have to pay the 100.00 to continue the process. I asked her if she knew that I would have to pay then why did she lie and tell me that the procedure was covered. Needless to say she did not have an appropriate answer or attitude. I left immediately and will NEVER RETURN to this establishment no matter what the address is. I suspect that there is some fraud taking place in which I am going to report on it.

I have never had my teeth cleaned at gentle dental. I have my own dentist office. But I was called for an interview for the front desk position. The lady was nice but very stern. She asked me what date I was available work training. And I gave her the dates and she told me what time to come in. I come in two days later ready to start and she comes to work asking me "why are you here?" So she goes to say she was hiring for the other location. But because of some miscommunication I wasnt supposed to be there apparently. About a week later I never received a call so I called the office that she was hiring for and the told me to call the lady back. When I get her on the phone she was very rude and disrespectful asking me why I called her other offices. She was basically trying to "check me" and you could hear it in her voice. Overall everyone else at the office was very sweet. But the supervisor was very rude and needs to be re evaluated. Good dental office with the wrong supervisor. I believe her name is ms joi. She was highly rude and needs to be FIRED

I have been dealing with this office for awhile now and I always thought there was something wrong with the way the bill. They would either bill too much or bill incorrectly. I received a bill in July 2015 for services I received June 2015. Unsure of why I was being billed I call to inquiry about the bill. None of the receptionist could assist me and informed me that I must speak to the manager. I call and left messages for the manager for 4 MONTHS STRAIGHT. Not unit the bill was forwarded to collection and my tone wasnt as pleasant anymore did she respond. She ensured me that she would take care of it once her billing department got back to her. She called back to inform me that it was billed in error and she would send an email to the collection agency this was in October. As of today (11/16/2015) I have received my 2nd BILL from them (collection agency). I will be transferring myself and children back to our old office. If we have to travel to get excellent service than that is what we will do.

I had a bittersweet relationship with this dental office. However, after my last visit I have decided to change my former review. This change in my feelings has finally reached its climax and this will be my last post for this location. Nevertheless, this change only occurred because of their staff and managements overall concern for my ending comfort. So here is my review: If this is not your first appointment and you actually have an appointment you will be seen very quickly. Also, the service that is given by the staff and management team at this location is commendable. They are very friendly, helpful, and concerned about your comfort and teeth. Lastly, whoever that was that did my initial cleaning before my fillings and the male dentist that they have on staff are awesome :).

The most fun Ive had at the dentist! Dr. Rochelle the best bed side manners, Ive ever came accross in an doctors Office atmosphere. I came in reading a book, and we engaged in thoughful conversation. She examined my teeth and provided solutions about my dental situation. The actual procedure was entertaining and riddled with jokes and puns about eveyday life. The next day I was seen by Dr. Jacklin who peformed the second stage, of my prodecure. Dr. Rochelle recommended her, and she did deliver! She was kind, very thoughful and asked many times if í could feel any discomfort after í was injected with numbing solution. I would recommend anyone who has had a not so pleasant experience, or those looking to actually preserve their teeth, and keep them at their best.
