Really disappointed. My husband goes here and aside from accidentally billing him 3 times for something he never had done, he says theyve been good to him. Based on his recommendation, and recently moving to the area, I went in for a cleaning today. The receptionist was lukewarm at best--no greeting or "how are you?" which I come to expect from any business, as thats how I run mine--she just asked for my paperwork and license. It was just a disappointing reception after all the nice things everyone else has said about the place. I showed up 10 minutes early for my 1:00 appointment. At 1:24, I walked out. If the dentists are running behind, do your patients a courtesy of letting the know when they sign in. Or, if Ive been there for 10 minutes past my appointment, bring it up then. Instead I sat there, waiting, wondering if I was forgotten because I was a new patient. I saw someone come in after me get shown in right away--its none of my business why, but at least tell the patients still waiting something along the lines of "itll be just a few more minutes." My husband says hes always had to wait 15-20 minutes, which shocked me. Im used to that at a general practitioners or specialists. But Ive never had to wait more than a few minutes at my old dentist, which is where Ill be returning to even if it is a longer drive now. If your practice is always 15-20 minutes behind, why not space out the appointments a bit more? I know when I go see my family doc its going to be wait because you never know what every other patient has. But the dentist? I have less patience because my experience has never been more than 5 minutes waiting once Im in. So if youre used to 20 minute waits to get in for a cleaning, definitely go here--I hear everyones happy about it. But if youre like me and you want to get in for the time youre actually scheduled for, dont go here. The reception staff can make or break the experience. A simple "were running a bit behind" or "itll be a few more minutes" would have assured me I wasnt forgotten.

I love Southfield Family Dental Center. The staff is very professional and friendly. I had my first experience with this office when my former dentist provider could not perform a procedure I was told I needed. I remember a few weeks earlier receiving a flyer from Southfield Family Dental offering a discount on this same procedure. So, I called and made an appointment. Right from the beginning the receptionist was very helpful and nice. When the other dental office could not do the work, Dr. Oleg was very confident that the tooth could be saved with another alternative, and he did just that; my wallet is grateful. When you walk in the office it is well lit. You sign-in as usually, but the wait is never long. This has been consistent during my visits. There are several dentists on staff working to get patients in and out. Everything appears to work harmoniously and seamlessly to make for a very comfortable atmosphere. Coffee and snacks while you wait for service and coffee after you have been served. The hours are very flexible 7:00am - 8pm. and even Saturday hours. How much more convenience do you need? Dental Hygienist Elizabeth made me feel very special in her chair. She was very thorough and made me feel a part of the process. Thank you Stephanie and Andrea L. in billing for your patience in the office and over the phone as I asked question after question. Dr. Marco and Christy thank you for the great conversation during my procedure, although I listened mostly. I hope you got that mattress taken care of....lol. From my initial call to the coffee at the end, I felt right at home, I have already referred my daughter, now my son. You have truly made your dentist office a class act!

My daughter and I went to see Dr. Levi after I was rejected by so many dentists for not having insurance. After I started working and received my dental benefits, one day I was watching TV and notice that there was a commerical advertising different dentist businesses. The commerical said, "if you are someone who is in need of or just looking for a dentist than call 1 800 dentist." I immediately called this number and received several locations near my house and asked which one has a great review. The person on the phone said, "the Southfield location has received high marks and I think you will like them as well." I went to this location with my daughter and never looked back. I have been to other dentist locations and Dr. Levi is a people person and generally cares about his patients well beings. When I had to renew my dental insurance from my job, I checked the wrong box and had to wait a whole year until I was able to renew my insurance again. When it came time for me to renew once again, I made sure I checked the appropriate box. In other words, I dont want another dentist. Dr. Levi is caring, loving, interested in his patients professions and families, as well as making sure his patients teeth are clean and free from cavities . He too is a family man and well-rounded. His office is kept up and always ready to treat patients. Thanks Dr. Levi for being my dentist. Yes I would recommend him to other patients. He has taking care of me and my daughters teeth for 7 plus years.

I came to be a patient at SFDC because my Mom had a "too good to be true" flyer that advertised $1.00 for a new patients exam and x-ray. I figured that Id check it out to see if it was really true, and to my surprise, it was!! I then met with Dr. Krivichkin, Dr. El-Mahrouky and Dr. Levi, who took the time to explain my options for a healthier, beautiful smile, and 8 months later, Im almost finished with the process! honestly, I was embarrassed by my smile, so I learned how to smile without actually "smiling", being careful to tilt my head or partially open my mouth when laughing so that I wouldnt expose the gaps where teeth were missing. I didnt have dental insurance, but Ms. Lori helped me to create a payment plan so that I could pay for my procedures over time, which made me extremely happy. Im 8 months in, and Ive got 4.5 more months to go before I see the Drs again, but this is the home stretch and I couldnt be happier! I couldnt end this review without mentioning the dental hygienists who are taking place in this smile restoration process, or the front desk receptionists whove always greeted me with a smile on their faces and in their voices (over the phone). This has hands-down, been the best dental journey Ive ever been on, and I want everyone to know that I will continue my dental care with this office and try to encourage as many people as I can to stop by and meet with the Drs!! Thank you, SFDC!!

The first thing I told my husband is this place has nice customer service. As soon as we arrived the receptionist hounded us for a dollar. My husband said. I dont have a dollar. She asked for his credit card. After the exam Dr. Levi stated my husband needed some work done. I asked "...what are you going to do; my husband do not want a lot cosmetics done". First, I got a lecture on cosmetics. So, I asked "...what are you going to do. I never heard of a hanging tooth." After he went into it, he then added "...since you asked." I asked my husband why did he treat me like that. He said "He thought You were showing off." At outpatient we did not need a dollar. when I asked for the referral credit. I was told I must wait till after his appointment is complete. I told her that is a little inconvenient because I wanted the credit applied to my next appointment; a day before his. I was told that the manager would call me...but they can break everything up in two payments No one never called. So, I did, I asked about a credit referral. I was told that I could not get the $100 credit for new patients if they only had a cleaning "...they must get a filling or other work..." I thought the purpose of referral was to get new patient; it seems beyond my control what services they get. I have one appointment left and my husband.
