Horrible. I did not know where to review this until now. My friend has had ongoing problems with this clinic for over a year. First, he had to get on his knees on the floor to have his mouth x-rayed. Their machine adjustment wasnt working. He banged his head getting up. The dentist needed to remove his teeth. She froze one side, forget to freeze the other side before attempting to pull his teeth. She was in a hurry. To make matters worse, she had to climb on top of him to pull the teeth. My friend did not want to be rude, so I went with him the next time. The dentist was rude, obnoxious and tried to intimidate me. When that didnt work she tried yelling at me. When I would not back down, she calmed down and explained that because of the bones in his mouth, it was difficult to make dentures that fit properly. She did not explain that in the beginning or that she could not do it. My friend has come out with a swollen mouth every time he has been there. She forced the plates into his mouth, caused swelling of the tissues as well as cutting the gums, causing an infection. The dentures did not fit properly, my friend did not have the money to go back to her and the insurance carrier would not cover him to go to another dentist. He remained without teeth for over 6 months until he had coverage. The insurance provider insisted that he return to this dentist. The dentures still do not fit, cut his gums and are horrible. The office is a disgrace. About a year ago we were there while they did renovations which were badly needed. The problem was that the plastic they hung to prevent dust going everywhere were not hung right and everything was covered in dust. This includes examination rooms and equipment. The office has a foul smell. I am not sure what it is, but it smells like sewage, the carpet and chairs in the waiting room are dirty, every time I have been there. Most of the people are very pleasant and helpful, but they can not overcome the atrocious conditions of the equipment or the unprofessional behaviour of the dentist. If you are looking for a dentist, for your sake, please do not pick this office.

Wow I will never go back to that dentist again. They were rude and she was an animal. I specifically told them today I had a certain time I had to be out so if she couldnt be done by then I would reschedule she said she would be done by the time I needed to leave, well she knows Im scared of the shot she gives u to numb your mouth well I was getting all my bottom teeth pulled so she had to give me 3 tubes of the numbing stuff so u can imagine how many times she had to poke me. She then walked out of the room an didnt come back for 30 min an it was time for me to leave an she still hasnt pulled any teeth yet. Well she finally started an there were multiple teeth she had to re numb and the last 2 teeth she pulled hurt so bad I was screaming at the top of my lungs. Ohh an since she wasnt done in time like she said she would be my ride had to leave me an I had to sit there an wait for another ride. She tricked me into staying cause she new once she Gave me the numbing shot I had no choice but to stay especially being scared she new I wouldnt wanna come back an do it again. So she basically lied to me. Shes rude an Inconsiderate . I will NEVER go back.!! I was suppose to be there 30 min an it ended up being 2 hours. It was horrible, at my age I shouldnt be scared to go to the dentist an now Im totally mortified ...

Do not go here, I repeat do not go here. I went for a regular cleaning, keep in mind I was only a couple months behind on a cleaning. I waited for 3 hours only to be told the dentist couldnt do a clean because I needed a "deep clean", dentist never even looked a my teeth. I rescheduled, keep in mind I had to keep calling them for my followup appointment. I finally get an appointment 2 months out and when I go in, I wait another 2.5 hours. Dentist came in and numbed me and left and I waited another hour. I went to the internet and did some research and found out these bastards routinely tell patients with healthy gums they have periodontal disease and tell them they need a deep clean. They also push a treatment called irrigation on you for $15 a flap and charge it up front. After 3 hours of waiting, I jumped out of the seat and left, the doctor then comes running talking about "At least let me do a flap, it only takes 5 mins) I told her to kick rocks......Long Story Short I went back to my original dentist (Southfield Family Dental Center ) which has a 4.7 star rating. P.S they also verified I didnt need a deep clean. This place is dirty, unprofessional, unorganized, understaffed, and needs to be closed.

I have been coming to Great Expressions on Martin Luther King since I was about 5 years old. I am now going on 25. Love the team here the energy and the people. Ive seen the screaming kids, and watch the dental assistant and main dentist calm them down and allow them to work. I have had Caps, fillings, root canal finishes and much more done by them and always have been treated with respect and care. I have Medicaid and they have never treated me Bad or like it wasnt good enough for their practice. I just wanted to thank personally Maha if thats how you spell it for holding my hand when we had extra drilling, Dr. Carmel (what I called her) and Dr. Noor she has taken over the practice with such ease and confidence. I recommend to any new or old patients. Thanks for always taking care of me and my last minute appointments :) - Des

The dentist that works there is an animal could care less how much pain youre in or what nerve she hits when shes job in the needle into you the more pain you in it seems like the more fun she has rude inconsiderate and horrible bedside manner all these people that give these five star reviews seem to be people that are doing it as a favor to him because what theyre saying is nothing like the experience I had theyll leave you sitting in there for hours have you waiting around to waste your time and then when she does the work shed like to kill you makes me wonder if she even has a license to do Dentistry

I must say, I have disliked every dentist that have ever gone to except this one. The staff cared alot. Took their time , prayed with me , helped me through a tough experience. ... they didnt have to do what they did. They reached far and beyond what was needed to be done and I appreciate them so much. Thank you

Horrible horrible service unprofessional unproductive unclean very rude disrespectful I didnt want to give it any stars but that was the only way I could review it. Even the emergency number was no help and the "Dr." Hung up on me because I couldnt understand her and asked to speak with someone else.
