Only giving 5 stars because the Doctors and nurses are amazing and caring. Front desk (Angela) is rude and argumentative. Said they had my prescription sent electronically or I could come pick up the written prescription from the office on Monday because the office was about to close for the weekend. I stated I would go to the pharmacy across town and pick it up and guess what? Surprise, surprise... It wasnt there. When I called back today (Monday), I spoke with Angela. I explained the situation and asked why my prescription wasnt there when I went to the pharmacy. Her response: "Things happen." So thank you for your support.

I was told I would need to go to urgent care to get a swollen eye looked at because they couldnt fit me in for over a week. My insurance covers my PCP, not urgent care. In a separate incident I could not get the results of blood work no matter how many calls I made or messages I left. I really love the PA there, but office management seems to be severely lacking.

They made me pay for my routine visit in advance although I have insurance coverage. They then charged the insurance company and got paid again. I had dispute the credit card charge and that is the only way I was reimbursed after six months of haggling with the front office. Horrible and unprecedented experience in a doctors office!

Office staff are extremely rude, especially the elderly gal who checks out patients after appointments are over. Shes condescending and is a poor reflection on the entire practice. The "face" of DeLand Family Medicine is very unwelcoming and unfriendly. Never again!!!

They have had way too many changes in the office staff and are terrible at returning calls. Its been over a week since having blood drawn.
