I never even got to see the doctor, the front desk receptionist Denise was EXTREMELY rude. I havent received my permanent insurance cards yet, I only have a temporary one. My insurance has been effective for about a month now, multiple ways to verify my enrollment status. I was told by both my human resources insurance manager, and the insurance agent itself that all a provider needs is my number and name, obviously my ID as well. After she repeated herself about five times, I told Denise I had heard her, I did not need her to repeat herself, and before I could ask for a manager, she placed me on hold. Ten minutes later, she picked up the phone, and asked how she could help me. I reminded her that we had already been conversing, she , "I know, do you understand our policy now? " I replied, " did you just place me on hold so that I can silently reflect on your insurance card policy?! May I please speak with a Manager?" She laughed, and transferred me to Melle. Melle preceded to tell me the EXACT same thing, but said she may be able to take a fax from the insurance company. I called my human resources, and the insurance, then called the clinic back. Denise picked up the phone, obviously, and I informed her that I did not want to speak with her, could I please be transferred to Melle? Melle gets on the phone and precedes to chastise me for offending Denise, and tells me I should get over how she is treating me since she is the only receptionist and I will have to interact with her every time I come to their clinic. This is a reality check, so I proceed to call other providers in a ten mile radius, eager for ANY doctor other then this one to help me. I am able to find one who is receptive, courteous, and accepted the insurance forms I had available. They were confused as to why this clinic did not. After the appointment, I remained courteous and had my boyfriend call and cancel the appt at Denises clinic. I was called back by Melle who said, " after going through ALL of that you cancelled? " as if it was SUCH an inconvenience to provide customer service lol. I have NEVER experienced such unprofessional treatment in my life. Now, the actual doctor might be amazing, I just never made it to him. I would NOT recommend this place. This is my third review on my third site too, so hopefully people see this.

My visit here was horrible. We had a scheduled appointment and they refused to see my 1 year old because I would not give them his social security number (SSN). The SSN was not needed for insurance billing (I checked with my insurance provider). After the office giving me lots of "reasons" for why his SSN # was needed such as: to track patients (uh, how about make up a patient ID number) or for collections (sorry, but you just took my credit card number to be safe, not to mention I offered to pay in advance and he is 1! Collections on a one year old?? Really?! Maybe ask for MY SSN, I am his legal guardian after all. Nope. They needed his.), etc. After them giving me a run around they finally said "because policy is policy". So if you want to go to a doctors office where faulty policies are in place that lead to increased chances of identity theft go here. Unwarranted office policy trumps the concern of patients about their sensitive personal information. The staff clearly needs to rethink their outdated policies and understand the true underlying basis for the policy. "Because I said so" is weak and makes no effort to understand the concerns patients may have. After being refused service we went and found a doctor and office staff with common sense.

I Have been seeing Dr. Barniv for a couple years and I am so greatful for him and his staff. From day one..they have been nothing but nice, compassionate and understanding!! Dr Barniv is THE BEST Doctor I have ever seen in my life. He doesnt sugar coat anything for you, he will tell it like it is without making you feel beneath him (like other Doctors). I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with all who work at the office. Millie is Amazing!! I dont know what I would do without Dr. B and his A-Team Staff!! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a Doctor. As for the prices, sure.. They may be a bit higher than other Drs in the area, but you get what you pay for. Its like comparing a Porche to a Volkswagen. I rest my case.

I simply called this doctors office to see if I could get a blood pressure reading in order to be approved for insurance purposes. The staff member then asked me if I had insurance and if I did not it would cost me $220.00 to establish me as a new patient so I could have my blood pressure taken. On top of the high fees, the lady was rude and did not care!!! My wife has visited this doctors office in the past and we walked out the office before her appointment due to the lack or care and concern of the staff in this office. The doctor should be ashamed of this non-custmer service staff!

Very Professional Doctor! Have been using Dr. Barniv since I was a child. He is very knowledgeable and knows how to treat his patients like family. I highly Recommend Dr. Barniv as a family doctor. He will do his best to find out your problems and resolve them and help you feel better!

Dr. Barniv (and staff) are simply wonderful. Dr. Charlie is possibly the last "old school" general family doctor who knows a bit about everything. They have ALWAYS been able to work me in the same day when needed. I thank the entire staff for what you do!

I had the worst experience with this office. Despite the fact that they charge the highest fees in town for a basic consultation visit, the office managers are beyond rude! I would never recommend this clinic to anyone!

Denise at the front desk is a sweet heart. Dr Barniv is extremely thorough. Only thing I can say is less than positive is the rates are slightly more than other area doctors
