Im honestly shocked to read some of the reviews below me, because Ive had the exact opposite experience with Dr. Sam and her staff. One of the things that initially endeared me to her practice is that Dr. Sam employs a team of genuinely caring, helpful people. From the time you walk into the door until the time you leave (and even in follow-up thereafter), everyone has a smile on their face and is eager to assist you however possible. As far as Dr. Sam is concerned, shes the best of the best. My husband works for a medical malpractice defense firm and will only let me see the "elite" of medical practitioners. And my personal experience only serves to reinforce this view. Dr. Sam is attentive; shes caring; and she goes above and beyond for her patients. Having had difficult pregnancies both times and having survived a life-threatening diagnosis in the last one, I can confidently say that there is no one else Id rather have by my side. It didnt matter if it was the middle of the night, Dr. Sam would answer my text and meet me at the hospital in the case of an emergency. She was always there to calm my nerves and to make crucial life-saving decisions in critical moments. I honestly dont know where I or my two children would be if not for her expert care. I realized this morning that I never wrote a review for Dr. Sam in the crazy aftermath of my last birth, so I came here, over a year later, to do so, because theres never been a woman who has deserved positive recognition more. She is my life saver, and I will forever trust her with my life and those of my children. If you choose her for your gynecologic/obstetric needs, I cannot imagine you not feeling the same. So thank you, Dr. Sam, for all that you do! Choosing you was the best decision Ive ever made.

After reading some of the reviews, I still took a chance. As previous reviews indicated, the doctor sees you for all of three seconds. She seems to be nice but I am disappointed in this practice. Maybe patients who gave this practice 5 stars have "elite" money or "elite" insurance but I still consider my insurance pretty good. I had an in office procedure done and was told that it was covered by my insurance. I even paid the so called co pay only to receive a bill for $400. Dont lie to people and tell them that a procedure is covered and then send a bill in the mail. Yes I couldve called my insurance to verify that the procedure is covered but staff insisted on helping with that part. Your lineage indicates the Simeon tribe, how could you lie and take from your own people and people who look like you? Why not treat all the same? I know you probably dont care about this review since you have been recognized by so many authorities including certain magazines but I was hoping the reviews were wrong but the one stars are telling the truth. To all women considering this practice. If you want a medical professional who is not personable and runs in and out in less than a minute (Im being courteous when giving a minute) then Elite OB/GYN is the place for you!

I was supposed to be a new patient here. First, they left me a voicemail the day I was supposed to have my first appointment saying that they have to reschedule me since Dr. Sam had to leave for an "emergency surgery". (Mind you, that was only a few hours before the appointment) When I tried to call them back to reschedule, I got the voicemail that they are currently closed for lunch from 12pm to 2pm!! (2pm??) Anyways, I tried to be patient, called back at 2:15pm. Still got the "lunch" voicemail. It wasnt until 2:30pm that finally somebody answered the call. Then they rescheduled me for 3 weeks later. I was upset, but took it and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. After 3 weeks, I confirmed my new appointment for the next day, everything seemed fine. Until they called me again 40 minutes prior to my CONFIRMED appointment to tell me they need to reschedule me once again because theyre having a power outage!! I feel as if that was just another false excuse to get rid of me, somehow they dont want to deal with new patients (or patients overall). Bottom line, if they already make it so difficult to make an appointment, I can only imagine how horrible their other services must be. STAY AWAY!!

I had a terrible experience with this "Elite" OBGYN practice. I was called by a receptionist with extremely sensitive test results and shown zero compassion. Dr. Sam did not have the time of day to call me with important, sensitive information. Instead, an untrained receptionist called me and told me life changing test results as if she was booking a salon appointment. When I asked questions, I was told the only way to get clarification was to pay for another appointment. Ive seen many physicians and I have never had such important medical results delivered to me by a receptionist. I was shocked. I would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy. Also, I would give zero stars if possible. The staff needs training in compassion, from the top down. In addition, they make you sign very strange paperwork to be seen there. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you owe these people cash. Yet, you will wait 60 minutes+ to be seen. Dr. Sam seemed rushed during my visit and I spent, maybe, 10 minutes with her, max, as a new patient. Terrible! Just terrible! The office decor is bizarre and tacky as well. But that is the least of this practices problems.

I had been advised by another OBGyn that I needed an overnight stay at the hospital to have cysts in my uterus removed--perhaps even a hysterectomy--at the tune of $6,000 or more. I went to Dr. Sam for a second opinion. After conducting tests on the cysts to check for possible cancer trouble, she was confident that all was clear for an in-office oblation which lasted 90 seconds and cost me my insurance co-pay amount of $50. I was up and about the next day with little to no discomfort during or after the procedure. All I needed was to sleep off the drugs used to limit any pain. A piece of cake! To top it off, the day of the in-office procedure was Dr. Sams birthday and she was all smiles. Dr. Sam is a pro-active, knowledgable and compassionate woman in whom I place my complete trust. Her priority is the needs of her patients. She approaches her practice with a holistic soul, an open heart and with every medical tool available to maintain her patients health and well-being. I cant say enough to praise Dr. Sam--and her staff of nurses and assistants. The medical world is a better place with her in it.

I was extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by the receptionist at Elite. I will discontinue using Elite as my choice of care due to the rudeness and insensitivity I was shown during a time where I needed advice and compassion. I had urgent concerns that I requested to briefly discuss with a nurse and as a patient, I believe that is a completely reasonable request especially when I was not going to be able to be seen for a month. I requested to be called back at a time that was convenient for a health professional there and the receptionist would not give me the time of day and completely turned me away. Feminine care and the process of conceiving is often a sensitive time for women and couples and out of all places and people, Elite and its employees should be aware of this and treat their patients with concern, compassion, and respect. While Im disappointed, I know there are talented health professionals at Elite. However I will be taking my business elsewhere that strives to make me feel comfortable while teaming with me and my health goals.
