My wife was sick and we were new to the area, I checked with our provider to make sure that doctor McKenzie was in our network and that he was taking new patients. The answer to both questions was yes, so we scheduled an appointment. After waiting for 45 minutes past our appointment time my wife went back to one of the rooms. Since my wife was a new patient I thought for sure that she would see doctor McKenzie, not by a long shot. My wife saw a PA, never saw the doctor and they didnt even take my wifes temperature, which her fever is one reason we were there. Dont waste your time going here unless you just want to see a PA, because obviously the doctor is to busy to see a brand new patient. What kind of doctors office doesnt even take a patients temp. We got no medical treatment from this visit, it was a complete waste of time.

Dr. McKenzie is a great doctor. However, his staff is HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. Completely unprofessional! I arrived at 8am to get a blood work referrals, which are extremely important. Zairilu, McKenzies main receptionist, told me that she will have it by 1pm, and told me to go home. I called around 1pm to confirm, I did not get an answer, and was put on voicemail. I came to the office, and Zairulu did not have it. At first, she told me she did not get to it yet, then she told me shes waiting on a signature, and (once the other patient waiting on a referral got her referral), she told me that she hasnt gotten to it yet because shes busy. Zairilu was snide, snappy, condescending, and offered horrible patient care. This has happened more than once at this office. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I have been going to Dr. McKenzie for years, before he opened his own practice. He is an excellent Doctor and doesnt recommend any unnecessary treatments like most doctors seem to. He is very thorough, and on occasion has student Doctors in his office, which I have no problem with since you get double the care. This is a Doctor that is accessible and will speak with you, unlike many I have been to, leaving phone messages with never a return call. He will call you back. I highly recommend him.

Dr. McKenzie has been my primary physician for over four years! He is caring, empathetic, and thorough. When I am not well, his office ensures that I see him that day. His front office staff has ALWAYS been friendly and treated me like family. Dr. McKenzie often teaches new medical students which I think is really amazing. As long as I am in South Florida, I would never think of changing physicians. Give his organization a try. You will surely feel cared for.

I pay health insurance every month . First time I get sick they refused to give me appointment because I am a new patient . I am in horrible pain , and coughing . I cant work 3 days ago . I came to the office but the secretary was shouting at me to show up without appointment and was threatening me she will call the police on me if I dont leave . Nice way to treat a sick , new patient .

I like Dr. McKenzie and his staff. Of course no place is perfect but he takes the time with the patients and never rushes me out and I feel he is thorough. I find his staff is busy but pleasant. If you need a new doctor give him a try
