Originally I gave Economy Dentures 5 stars. That was almost 3 years ago. Dr Howe did a great job on my procedure and I couldnt have been happier with my dentures... Until they started to break last year. Due to losing my insurance and financial issues I could not afford to get them fixed, so I did a home repair. It was fine until the other side broke in exactly the same spot. So I finally sucked it up. Made the appointment and paid cash for new dentures. Let me make this clear, I understand these are ECONOMY dentures. I did not expect celebrity quality teeth. I did, however, expect to be able to eat properly and look like a normal human being. The top was so high amd sharp it cut my mouth. The teeth are longer on one side than the other and dont even touch on the left side of my mouth. The overbite is so severe that i cant bite into food. So i waited 6 days for an appointment to adjust the denture. No one mentions money when I set the appt. No one mentions money when I get to the appt. Then Dr Grady himself told me he was going to charge me to repair (their own screw up) and if I wanted free adjustments that I should have bought the more expensive denture. Now call me stupid, but i thought regardless of how much someone pays, these teeth should at least be usable and not painful. When i tried to take my teeth back from him he snatched them away from me and began the adjustments without my approval. I began to cry, not knowing what else to do. He asked why I was crying and I responded that i had never been so disrespected or mistreated by a medical professional due to money in my life. Dr Grady, the nurse (Jeanie or Jennie) and another man that Ive never seen before all laughed at me while I sat crying... I have contacted corporate and they say they will make this right. I will update if that happens.

Unlike many Medicaid patients who somehow feel entitled and ungrateful for what is essentially free quality medical services, I am grateful and thankful for the wonderful service and dentures provided by Dr. Howe and his staff. They went to great lengths in accommodating me and coordinating all aspects of the new and complicated Medicaid dental insurance regulations. The staff has always made me feel welcome and placed me at ease in what many people consider a stressful situation. Several weeks after extractions (performed by Dr. Bowlin in New Port Richey) I arrived early one morning and was fitted for my dentures which I then received later that same day. Approximately 3 months later my gums had healed further and I went back to Dr. Howe who relined my dentures for a better and more comfortable fit. The procedure lasted just over an hour. To those who somehow feel compelled to complain about perceived long wait times - heres an idea: put aside $7,000 or $8,000 and go somewhere else where they kiss your selfish ass. Or maybe you can just treat Dr. Howes staff with the kindness and respect they richly deserve. For me, Im extremely thankful and happy with my new smile and the confidence that comes from the perfectly straight and bright teeth. Thanks for everything! K. J. Rose Tampa

My mother just had her teeth surgically extracted, and dentures fit. While I must admit that the one day denture impression, extraction, and placement of dentures made that day is such a convenience, the place schedules too many patients, and you end up waiting in the office all day. We lucked out and got the best dentist there (Dr. Moffit, I highly recommend you request him, as Ive talked to people with the other dentist and are not as happy as my mother with their processes). We were also told if she felt a sore spot for more then two days, to call for an adjustment and we would be brought in the next day, however when I called they had to availability for over a week. I made the appointment, we showed up a half hour early (appt. was at 930) and we didnt get seen until almost 11. While my mother is very pleased with the work Dr. Moffit did, and all the staff we have worked with is amazing, we are both just aggravated that the place tries to take on too many patients at once, and then everybody suffers by waiting all day to be seen even with appoitments. There is good and bad with this place, so I suggest weighing your options before choosing this dental place.

My friend went here and what a nightmere. This is a medicaid dentist. The wait for any service is inexcusable. The work done is horrible. If you are paying cash please go simewhere else. MAI family dentist is where we will finish his work and have to pay that dentist to fix actually replace the extremely low grade work that is done here! The office is dirty! Today i seen terminix spraying for bugs however the same crumbs and candy under a chair in the waiting room was still there 4 days later! The vents are filfithy. Disgusting! I am so sad i took my friend here. And he paid OVER THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS. And he had to wait 2.5 hours for a simple adjustment .his bottom denture he cant even wear its bulky and will not fit in his mouth. This is horrible that this is what is offered to medicaid patients! And the dental aid told my friend he could drink on his antibiotics! What professional doea that. The other dentist and his aid both mocked a upset patient. Said she. Needed to learn patience! Who does that so bottom line...run... Dirty office.dirty rooms,dirty vents (gross) Unacceptable wait times. Awful! EXTREMELY LOW GRADE WORK! HORRIBLE!!!!

If your thinking about going to Economy Dentures, dont waste your time if you have a heart disease and getting clearance from your doctor doesnt help or do yourself a favor and dont mention any health problems. Wear the dirtiest worn out clothes and shoes and dont brush hair. Just dress and look trashy. Otherwise they will not treat you and will be very rude and embarrass you in front of others. I left there in tears Wednesday 6/18/2014 because they refused to treat me and treated me like an abused animal. Im not going to wish harm for you people, but if harm comes your way....I hope you see my face and keep this thought in the back of your mind that God sent me there and you turned me away!!! SHAME...ON...YOU!!!

This place is a nightmare, I was there at 6:45 this morning I had an apointment. After sitting for 2 hours I was told my dentures would be ready at 1 come back then, I sat there till 6 pm this evening just to be told that they couldnt do my extractions cause my blood pressure was a little high, My god after siting somewhere for 12 hours and being told it wasnt gonna be much longer, anybodys blood pressure would go up especially after you have had all day to think about extractions. Then they kept my money and said I could come back at another day and have my teeth pulled. Like hell I will I am going to report them

I myself would give economy dentures 5 stars. The staff here is very nice and the dentist/Surgeon (Douglas Howe) was AWESOME not only did he discuss the Positives and Negatives of having Top Dentures he made sure this was the best option for me. He did an outstanding job on getting my teeth out and he was able to give me a new Whiter Brighter Smile. The only negative feedback I have is the waiting time but they do let you know prior that it can be a all day appointment so for me Id have to say it was worth the wait, Im extremely pleased with my new smile and you all were Awesome.
