I have a 12 week old American Bulldog that was having diarrhea and throwing up so I took him in to get a check up and get his vaccinations. He tested positive for the Parvo virus and my fiance and I were devastated. They let us know that he needed to be hospitalized and that there was no guarantee that he would survie because it is a deadly virus. We left him there and hoped for the best. On Monday we went by to see him since they were closed on Sunday. He looked so sick! He was really skinny and I understood because I knew he was really sick but he hadnt gotten any better after all the shots they had given him. I understand that theres no guarantee that he will survive but you would think that they are giving the best care to your puppy to make him better. On Tuesday we went to see him and he was in very bad shape. He didnt even respond to us when we saw him and because of the money issue, we decided to take him out of the vet and take care of him at home. I got the number to a clinic and two of the vets came to our home to check on the puppy and the other 3 puppies we had in our home had gotten the virus too and he treated all 4 of them. He said that mine was in the worst shape out of all of them and I had been treating those puppies at home! How is that possible? Theyre proffesionals right? The new vet looked over his history of what they had given to him and he said it was all wrong. They are not supposed to eat AT ALL and they were trying to give him food the day we picked him up! Do these people know ANYTHING??? Well after the treatment he was already looking better. Instead of having no hope of him living I started to see light in his eyes. After an hour he was already trying to give me kisses. This morning (Wednesday) I went to check on him before I went to work and he was a completely different dog! From one day to the next! Please STAY AWAY from these people! I spent $800 of my money which I do not have and it went down the drain!! I thank God that I took him out when I did. Dont let this happen to you...

My go to veterinarian. When I rescued my dog Champ back in 2012 he had a broken leg and I had no idea what to do or where to go. I found Animal Medical Center & Spa after doing a quick search on the web and luckily theyre located very close to my home. I went in to see Dr. Carmen Vazquez. She saw Champ and recommended for Champ to have surgery on his leg with a specialist that they work with. To this day Champ has had no issues with his leg and he has a great relationship with their staff. Champ isnt the easiest dog to handle, but they get the job done. When I go on vacation or on business trips I always have confidence with boarding Champ at Animal Medical Center for the duration of my trips. They also always have great customer service. They always call the day after an appointment to make sure Champ is doing ok and if I have any questions, I really like that because it shows that they really care. Scarlet their front desk customer service rep is always very attentive and always gives great service to all clients. All in all I wouldnt want to take Champ anywhere else but here because they truly care about their clients and Dr. Carmen Vasquez is simply the best vet out there.

My Chihuahua almost passed away when he was a baby due to low blood sugar. I took him to Banfield ( because it was the closest place) and they rejected me at the door with my puppy in hand, told us we needed to go somewhere else, because they were closed. I called AMC, and they answered immediately, Dr. Vasquez and Rosa, were at the animal hospital 10 minutes later upon my arrival, and saved my dogs life. If it wasnt for them, rushing out of their houses, in their Pjs, my baby wouldnt be alive today. On the contrary to what everyone says, Dr. Vasquez LOVES animals. She always takes the time to explain everything to me, even if I have asked over 100 times. There is truth in the "you get what you pay for" . I would rather pay a little bit extra and receive excellent service, than pay less and someone harm my dogs. MAC prices are good, and they are helpful in keeping it within your budget. AMC is always on top of client offering services that the pet needs. Like Rosa said, You can always decline and that is up to you. Ive been with AMC for 10 years and I love the Doctors, I wouldnt trade it.

WARNING WARNING! Horrible. I cant explain how bad the experience was. They are insensitive and care about getting paid more than your feeling or your pets well being. They kept my dog after a few analysis and will not let me take him some place else to search for more affordable treatment. Instead "Its pay us or you dont get your dog back". Thats so much bull. Im in college and cant afford to pay a $500 dollar vet care. Thats not the worst part, after expressing my financial situation to them about 20 times. They disided that slapping a euthination form on the desk to solve the problem was the most ideal solution. I cryed so much because of this. Hopelesness is the least of what it felt like. "If you cant afford to pay a little $500 dollar down for your dog, what makes you think youll be able to take care of him" ,these are their words exactly. This clinic sucks. Never again!

Ive been with this vet since they first opened years ago and have noticed a change for the worse. The last few times Ive taken my puppy in it truly seems all the doctors and staff care about is making money. They dont give you great advice, and mainly just advertise their products. The times Ive refused to give my dog certain vaccines, or pointless exams because my pet truly did not need them theyve given me major attitude as if Im a terrible person (totally inaccurate - I care about my pet but a $900 overnight stay because of one day of diarrhea is an exaggeration). Im in the lookout for another vet that actually cares about the pets, and not emptying wallets.

Great place, Dr. Vazquez was great found this place after my neighbors dog ate a frog and almost died but this doctor saved the dog. So now i take him here price is way more reasonable than my previous vets especially since they write a written estimate before they work on your dog wich is a major problem in other offices. Not trying to say i dont love my dog i just dont want to take a second mortgage. Girls in the front are very nice paid more attention to the dog then the one thats paying which was nice considering hes the one for the visit not me. All in all will definitely bring my dog to this place.
