Highway ROBBERY!!! For shame Aspen Dental!! And, How Dare You!! With that said.. I went in as a new patient and had the free xrays and exam done. I ultimately just wanted a cleaning and on the phone before my visit, was told that the hygienist had to see first what kind of cleaning I would need. I found this a little weird but whatever, it was free. The hygienist said my teeth and gums looked good, just needed a cleaning. He also said "I can perform the cleaning today no problem". I wait a little bit and then I go to the desk where they quote you the price. $503.00. Yes, $503.00. I bust out laughing, as one would do during shock and awe! I said, Thats ridiculous. The girl (billing) says "Well you have gingivitis and need two cleanings and we give you a bunch of products to take home, your not obligated to take them but theyre included" So, Im not obligated to take them but youre sure as hell going to charge me for them. Keep in mind, the hygienist said nothing about gingivitis. Funnily enough, the girl said if I didnt get this cleaning today she couldnt schedule an appointment for two months!?! Interesting...a naive person would have definitely felt pressured. The dentist said my teeth looked great except for a chipped one that needed a crown. I was already aware of this and prepared. They only do porcelain for $1391, no choices. I have a crown thats 16 years old, it was $399 with no problems for 16 years... Yesterday I went to Tri-Dental in Eustis. I got an excellent cleaning, xrays and an exam for $49.00, yes $49.00 (All done in one visit!). No one had to see first what kind of cleaning I needed. It was just a regular one. Oh, the best part, I did NOT have gingivitis! Also, they offer the crowns for $399, $599 and porcelain for $799! This establishment is crooked. I feel sorry for the people that go there and actually give them their money. Even if you have insurance its exorbitant. For Shame Aspen Dental! Please, for the love of god, shop around, get a second opinion and be very cautious if you go here, watch your back!!!

I was greeted by friendly staff which was great - The Dr was great as was the nurse tech who took my xrays. She gave me great information and answered almost all my questions. However when the exam was over I was ushered into another room where (im assuming she was the billing specialist (in our cardiologist office this is what we call the billing staff)). She did not introduce herself to me nor did she give me her name. She also gave me the feeling she would rather be anywhere else but at her job on a saturday. She was extremely happy to see that the last of the patients had arrived. She went through motions of running my credit which I told her it would not go through but she ran it anyway. When it was all done and I was denied by both ( i thought she was going to offer a payment plan or some way to work it out) she asked how I would like to pay the remaining balance of $6,500.00. My issue is not only with her robotic personality and the brush off I got when my credit was denied and I could not hand over the balance but that you would want me to pay in advance for something we are not even sure the dr is going to do. In closing I give the front staff = 1 star - The X Ray Tech = 1 Star The Dr 1 Star and Im keeping the other 2 to myself for the brush off Aspen Dental Billing. I did finally get the breakdown but again I had to ask several times for her to give me the information - I hope she had a great weekend.

The staff was amazing! Very friendly and professional! I have always had bad experiences with dentist offices and when I have x-rays taken of my mouth, but the tech was so gentle and great. I had been to another dentist and was told I needed a periodontal cleaning done and they wouldnt do a routine cleaning until I had it done. I couldnt afford to have it done and I had just had a deep cleaning done 3 months prior and couldnt understand how my teeth couldve gotten so bad. I went back 2 more times and they told me the same thing and on the 3rd visit they said my entire mouth needed it now. And each time I went, they refused to do a routine cleaning until I had the periodontal cleaning done. So I decided to go to Aspen Dental for another opinion. I scheduled a new patient appointment and was told my teeth were in very good shape with no issues. Only needed a routine cleaning which they were able to work me in that day. The hygienist was awesome and was constantly making sure I was OK and comfortable. Dr. Heald was awesome as well. I have found an office that I am finally comfortable with and will continue to go on a regular basis. I have referred my kids and everyone I can to them.

I was in the office last Thursday, 02/14/2013 for a consultation. I arrived an hour and a half early (due to public trans), filled out the patient paperwork, and was taken in at 2:45 for a 3:30 appointment, something that never happens at a doctors office. The staff was awesome, and very friendly and informative. I was there to price a full set of dentures, however at the moment I am not working and came in on the referral of St. Lukes Medical and Dental Catholic charities in Eustis, Fl. the price I was given is low and completely affordable. But, at the moment I still cant afford the services, and without I wont be able to find any work due to my appearance. Not looking for charity, just the chance to have a smile that will help me to find work so I can pay for the services. thanks for your time and hope I can see you again soon.

OMG! Aspen Dental (Mt Dora location) is the way to go! I was greeted with smiles from the front desk girls and immediately felt at ease. I was seen by Dr. J, Myke, and Roland. Dr. J was very welcoming...more like visiting a friendly neighbor than your everyday doctor. Myke (Dental Assistant) was really friendly and kind. His demeanor and self character alone made me feel comfortable during X-rays. Roland (Hygienist) was also very friendly. Roland did a super great job cleaning my teeth (Deep Cleaning) and I will probably not go to another Hygienist as long as hes around. Kimberly (Dental Consultant) was very helpful in explaining dental treatments and was very kind. James (Office Manager, I am not please he is a Red Sox fan..lol..but is indeed a great dental manager) This dental staff was well put together!!!

Called for an appointment three days in advance for 2:00pm. I arrived and was greeted by the receptionist and given paperwork to fill out... I filled it out and noticed people arrived after me were going to the back before me (it was around 2:15 now, but you gotta expect a little delay right?) I told the receptionist, who had written down walk-in by my name... I told her that I was an appointment, she kept on saying I was a walk in. I waited another 30 minutes until almost 3pm (after seeing lots of other people going back) and finally left. They lost a potential huge client as my entire family would have been coming in for a visit, now I will not ever visit again. I am bummed out over not going because I heard nothing but good things about the dentist, but I will not stand to be insulted and ignored by receptionists.
