-I am in the military and am only able to see a limited few Doctors off base. Due to pregnancy I have been seeing him monthly for the last 8 months and have sadly lost confidence. #1. Urine test is unsecured and my uncovered sample is placed next to 7 other uncovered samples which are kept in a tray in the bathroom. (This would be great if I was pregnant and on drugs and wanted to mix match with someone elses urine.) #2. His staff contradicts his medical decisions about which kind of appointments he wants you scheduled for. (It worries me that they over-ride his medical judgement and that they do not trust him) #3. His clinic waited 30 days to tell me one of my Diabetes tests came back abnormal. #4. For an appointment, I showed up 35 minutes early and still had to wait 1:53 (1 hour, 53 minutes) to be seen by Dr. Smith. Actual time with Dr. Smith during this visit was less than 1 minute. #5. After seeing a trend in his rushed manner I started timing my actual visit time with him and my grand total time for the last 3 months (1 visit per month) equals 5 minutes of actual Doctor/Patient time. (If you do choose to see him, I recommend writing down what you have concerns about. Otherwise he could be halfway out the door before you can ask a second question.) #6. My first appointment was scheduled for 7:30 am. I showed up 20 minutes early and myself and another patient had to sit on the floor outside of the office until someone came by at 0800 and unlock the doors. (I was the second patient of the morning and still waited an hour to see Dr. Smith.) I told my coworkers about my experiences and concerns and then they highly recommended Women’s Care of Florida which is covered by TriCare Prime. I was able to switch but I needed to stay on top of it because my new clinic was not receiving all of the required paperwork. As soon as I walked into Women’s Care of Florida I was treated like 5 Stars’ and have had three appointments so far with ZERO wait time. AMAZING! Right away, I also received several calls from Woman’s Care of Florida to ask me what treatments Dr. Smith had given for the high glucose test (nothing) and for my Anemia. I told them Dr. Smith never told me I was Anemic and right then, over the phone, Woman’s Care of Florida gave me a treatment plan. I new I was having my worst Dr./Patient experience ever with him but I did not really comprehend how bad my visits were with Dr. Smith until I switched, now I am being treated like a pregnant queen. (My new receptionist greets me by my first name and with a smile every time I walk in the front door, unlike Dr. Smiths receptionists who hide behind frosted glass and dont even see you or know you are there until they open their window to check their clip board) I hope this helps anyone who may be researching or experiencing a similar predicament. ROBERT SMITH JR. WAS MY OB / GYN 15 + YEARS AND I USED TO RECEIVE WELL WOMAN EXAMS INCLUDING.., PAP TESTS ANNUALLY UNTIL MY PREVIOUS PRIMARY CARE DOCTORS REGISTERED NURSE REASSURED ME THAT I ONLY NEEDED A PAP TEST APPROXIMATELY EVERY THREE YEARS AND I WAS NOT REQUIRED TO RECEIVE ANNUAL PAP TESTS~ RECENTLY.., I CONTACTED ROBERT SMITH JRS. OFFICE TO MAKE THE EFFORT IN OBTAINING AN APPOINTMENT FOR A WELL WOMAN EXAM INCLUDING.., PAP ONLY TO BE PUT ON HOLD TWICE AND TO THEORETICALLY HAVE THE DOOR SLAMMED IN MY FACE BY BEING INFORMED THAT ROBERT SMITH JR. ACCEPTS STAYWELL HEALTH INSURANCE HOWEVER.., "ONLY TO TREAT PREGNANT WOMEN"~ TECHNICALLY.., BY REFUSING TO TREAT.., "NON - PREGNANT WOMEN" WOMENS CARE CENTER IS INDEED DISCRIMINATING AGAINST WOMEN WHO ARE UNABLE TO HAVE BABIES OR HAVE CHOSEN TO NO LONGER HAVE BABIES~ I AM THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS MEDICALLY UNETHICAL AND MISTREATMENT TOWARDS.., "NON - PREGNANT WOMEN" INCLUDING.., MYSELF~ FURTHERMORE.., ALTHOUGH I AM IRREGULAR I STILL HAVE EXTREMELY PAINFUL MENSTRUAL CYCLES , EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL INTERSTITIAL CYSTITIS OF MY BLADDER AND BACK PAIN ESPECIALLY.., LOWER BACK PAIN 24 / 7 DAYS A WEEK FOR 15 + YEARS AND AN OVARIAN CYST WHICH MAY / MAY NOT REQUIRE SURGICAL INTERVENTION~ I ALMOST DIED IN A HORRIFIC AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT IN 2013 AND I AM PERMANENTLY DISABLED WITH LIFELONG BODILY INJURIES AND PAIN , I FEEL ABANDONED BY ROBERT SMITH JR. AND WOMENS CARE CENTER , I ALSO FEEL OVERWHELMED & HELPLESS~ THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IS UNDENIABLY UNRELIABLE AND I LEGITIMATELY CANNOT TRUST IN MEDICAL DOCTORS AND WOMENS CARE CENTER SHOULD BE ASSIGNED A NEW NAME MORE SUITABLE SUCH AS.., "WOMENS I DONT CARE CENTER" AS ITS A PROVEN FACT THAT THEY REFUSE TO TREAT ME AND THEY DONT CARE ABOUT MY HEALTH AND WELL BEING~ I PRAY FOR ANY WOMAN ESPECIALLY.., "NON - PREGNANT WOMEN" WHO ARE FACING SIMILAR ADVERSITIES IN BEING DENIED THE CARE AND TREATMENT THEY ARE ENTITLED TO FROM DOCTORS WHO NO LONGER PRACTICE THE.., "HIPPOCRATIC OATH"~ IT IS WHAT IT IS~

My overall experience with Dr. Smith was horrible. I have type 1 diabetes so my pregnancy is considered high risk. At the first appointment I waited about an hour to be seen and then when Dr. Smith came in he stayed about 10 minuetes and gave me blood work forms and asked me to bring a log of my blood sugars to the next appointment. So at the next appointment I waited about 45 minuetes in the waiting room and another 30 minuetes in a room waiting for doctor Smith (by this time it was lunch time and most of the nurses had left for break) when he finally came in he did not ask to see my blood sugar logs or anything. He stayed maybe 3 minuetes and was done. So came the third and last appointment which he asked to see my blood sugar logs, I hadnt brought them. Then he went on questioning me and accusing me of not checking my blood sugars to the point where he was raising his voice at me. I continued to answer the same questions repeatedly until I was almost to the point of tears. Not to mention that my two year old was standing on the other side of the room scared and witnessing the whole thing. Never again will I go back to this doctor.

Dr Robert Smith by so far was the best doctor I ever had to do my labor delivery by c-section, my recovery was amazing I also had my tubes tight and everything went fine since the starting point of the staff getting me ready, the anesthesiologist, the nurses, they were very nice to me, treating me with very care, to the doctor procedure thru out of the operation who took very good care of me and thats why my recovery was really really good, fast healing, its been 4 months now and my scar is very minimal, Im feeling very good very good health, this is my third baby and Im 34 years old and I felt this c-section was a way better than my second when I was much younger at 25 all of this procedure took place at trinity medical center hospital and the hospital was amazing too on taking care of me my family that was there at the room and my baby... I really can refer my friends and family to that hospital and specially to Dr. Smith that was so great doctor to me, I had a great experience and I will never forget...And My baby is a beautiful beautiful girl 4 months old very healthy...
