Dr. Blumer, of the Parkway Veterinary Hospital, saved the life of Toby "Tobuscus" Turners dog Venus, who had a cancerous tumor whom Toby and his family could not afford to have removed. When Venus was brought to Parkway to be put to sleep (she was in a lot of pain and Tobys family had exhausted all options searching for a way to afford the surgery), Dr. Blumer gave her the first of two injections in the process. The first injection literally puts her to sleep, normal sleep. The second injection would have stopped her heart. However, as Venus went to sleep, her tongue lolled out of her mouth (where the tumor was located). Dr. Blumer saw it and said it was removable and he could save the dog. Upon being told that the family could not afford the operation, DOCTOR BLUMER REFUSED TO PUT THE DOG DOWN AND INSTEAD PERFORMED THE OPERATION FREE OF CHARGE!!!! This man is a hero to doglovers everywhere, and EVERY veterinarian should aspire to be JUST LIKE HIM!! Thank you, Dr. Blumer, from Toby Turner and all his friends and fans.

The vets are absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable and straight forward. The office staff, on the other hand, has been near impossible to deal with and downright rude at times. Trying to ship my dog to a foreign country, and both countries documentation and bureaucratic red tape has been easier to deal with than the staff. I simple need them to verify his shots and rabies, that they gave him, and they will not do it.

Heard good things about this vet so we decided to try it out because we were having some issues with our dog. The nurse Carin was amazing! I was having a bad day so her and I had some difficulties at first but she was able to be patient with me and work to communicate and find a solution for what my pet needed. Very friendly staff. Having just taken in a puppy and a kitty I had many questions and they answered them all am made both animals feel very comfortable. They have a wide variety of food available for purchase. The parking lot is easily accessible. The doctors and nurses are very loving to each animal. I am very pleased.
