I will not return to the College Mall Vet because twice over the course of a couple months they have made big mistakes with my animals. First, I took one of my dogs in for a surgery and during that surgery they also performed an elective procedure that I did not authorize. The tech up front said that my chart must have been mixed up with another clients chart in the back, and I got the procedure they authorized. Second, after taking my other dog in for a different issue, I was sent home with another clients medications. After the office alerted me to the situation (which happened after I got home and already gave my dog the meds), it took almost an hour for a vet to call me to confirm that the two medications would not interact in a dangerous way. Granted, both of these mistakes have not harmed my dogs, but procedures that allow for these kind of mistakes could very easily result in serious harm to other patients in the future. The vets and techs are kind, but this is too big of a risk for me.

Dr. Swanson cared for Sammy. Sammy had acute renal failure. Knowing how much we were hurting, Dr. Swanson contacted both my daughter and myself by phone, several times with my daughter and she tried me twice and I got to speak to her the second time. She provided compassionate care to my grandbaby furball during his final days. He will be euthanized 4/17/09. She was so gentle about how she handled with us. I would disregard any negatives about this practice and take your dog in. You will get the best treatment from her and her staff. They did their best. Sammys condition is irreversible. We are grateful that Dr. Swanson is handling the euthanasia and is not charging us for this procedure where other vets charge $$$ because Sammy was her patient. This vet cares greatly about her animal patients.

My cat received great care from Dr. Vandewiele! At first I wasnt sure her serious demeanor would be a good fit with my husband and I since we were anxious cat parents when we brought our elderly kitty in, but dont get the wrong impression, what may be mistaken for brusqueness by some I found to be professionalism and dedication. Dr. Vandewieles dedication (if she says she will call with test results, she will, even if she cant get to it until 7-8PM!) and thoroughness put our minds at ease. If she had not been so thorough and ordered follow up tests after a course of antibiotics for an infection, we would have never found that our kitty was hyperthyroid, which would have been fatal if left untreated! We have seen other vets there too for our other 2 cats and 1 dog, and all experiences have been great!!

Unfortunately after 6 months with College Mall Vet, I have to move on. Except our first ever appointment, the receptionists have been rude and not supportive as I expected. Its tiring to explain on the phone to them what I really wanted to do for my dog. The last time I went for a fecal test because my dog had diarrhea, the front desk lady laughed at me for bringing a small sample. I couldnt take more because it soaked to the grass and she was not nice at all. Although Dr. Gilliatt has been very nice and my dog likes her very much, I just have to move on. I have found another veterinary hospital that is more supportive and Im glad I made the change.

We have taken our "babies" to a number of vets in town. Unlike other locations, College Mall has vet assistants answering the phones who can answer questions or get information from the doctor if we call with questions. The vets are patient and answer any questions we have, and they focus on our puppies as individuals. We love Dr. Vanderwiele! She and the other vets really seem to care about their patients. She in particular was a Godsend for our older adopted dog who, as it turned out, has food allergies--she stuck with us to figure it out, and now hes doing well. We love them!

We saw Dr. Joy Dvorak for the first time today. Weve been to a lot of vets over the years, and she now ranks right at the top of our list. She was patient, knowledgeable, and very through during my dogs exam. All of my questions were answered. She even immediately recognized the brand of food my dog eats (Fromm) and knew where it was manufactured! Yes, their office sells Science Diet, but it was never brought up in our conversation. Overall, I went in not expecting much and walked out incredibly pleased with the experience. Well definitely be visiting Dr. Dvorak again!

Theres a reason everyone raves about this place. After a miserable experience at another vet, we came here for a check up and to have our dog established as a patient so we can use their emergency care if need be. Dr. Snyder and her staff were tremendously friendly from the time we walked in the door. Everyone wanted to meet us and our dog, and were truly interested in getting to know our family. Dr. Snyder was fantastic; she explained everything we needed to know and at no time did we feel like we were being pressured to buy extras. So, so pleased.

Ive taken my cats there for 19 years, and every vet they have has always been wonderful to them and to me. They understand how tight the bonds between humans and animals are, and theyre much more reasonably priced than the two other vets I wound up going to for convenience or emergency. Its true that you can wait sometimes, but thats a trade-off for their squeezing in emergencies, listening to the humans, and being patient and thorough with the animals. I also love how they compliment my animals; small thing, but it makes me happy.

I was referred to Dr. Swanson by my parents vet, and my 1-year-old cat is a patient there. She has had awful trouble with allergy sores above her eyes, and she has always received excellent care at CMVH. Procedure costs (swabs, testing, etc.) are reasonable and the staff is nice. They are open until 7pm and open for a half-day on Saturday, which is really nice for people who cant squeeze in a vet appointment until after work or on a weekend. I would recommend CMVH to any pet owner.

I will not go back either. Had my dog in for exam..Got charged outrageous prices and also for a nail trimming I did not ask for being she had her nails done the day before. 5 times amount of medication you can get on line for a lot less. Sorry but I am just telling the truth. WIll look elsewhere also.19 to have a dogs nails trimmed is very very outrageous and not called for. And had an appt also and was 45 minuntes behind....

Dr. Snyder is the greatest vet I have ever met. She is incredibly patient and always answers all of my questions. We had a very sick, senior pet last fall and I cannot say kinder things about how she and the rest of the office handled the situation. Our dogs condition was irreversible and she helped us consider every possible treatment until we could no longer do anything to help him. I highly recommend this office.

I found a baby kitten crossing the street close to the vets office. I stopped to pick her up and she didnt look to be in good health, so i took her to college mall vet. in a few minutes they had her eating and warming her up (she was wet) and the best thing is they didnt charge me for any of it. They were great for taking care of her on such short notice and the level of care was excellent!
